A 21st century web-based CAD tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and best customer support which aids is quicker project implementation.
Can be used anywhere any number of times in various devices even on mobile phone devices with so many options.
Other CAD models can be easily imported into Onshape interface just like uploading files in folders.

What do you dislike about the product?
Assembly mate options can be improvised.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multiple concepts can be created in a single document by branching and any changes can be restored using versioning options. Normal CAD softwares will take much effort to do these activities. Onshapes is very easy software that any level users can use with ease.

What do you like best about the product?
1. I can access Onshape from any device that can connect to the internet. When I'm out, I don't have to carry a heavy computer; I just need to bring a phone or tablet to check or view my models at any time.
2. Modeling can be done with very high dimensional accuracy, which is important.
3. I only need to share a link with my colleagues instead of transferring a large number of various model files.
4. The assembly function is simple and easy to understand.
5. Any feedback is responded to and improved by the official team very quickly.

What do you dislike about the product?
1. Completely relies on the quality of the network connection, and as a Chinese user, the experience is slightly worse.
2. In my opinion, Onshape is still in its growth phase and has a lot of room for development. At this stage, it integrates many functions, aside from modeling and drawing functions. It also includes features like comments and task publishing, which might be very useful for team collaboration when designing complex models together, serving as a memo or work assignment instructions. However, for individual use, these features seem somewhat cumbersome. It's just that these features are not suitable for users like me who work alone, not that they are bad.
I hope there will be more optimization of the drawing functions in the future. In fact, I think it can refer to some existing software and user-written plugin tools. The official might overlook some aspects, but tools made by users themselves must arise from substantial usage needs.

He solved the problem of size accuracy for me. Adjustments can only be made by modifying the dimensions, which means there is almost no difference between my model and the actual product produced.

Essential cloud software that I use every day
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud computing means you don't have to worry about hardware or backing up your data. Before moving to Onshape I used other software for about 15 years and was content in my ignorance. Onshape makes creating drawings and models even easier and the way you can communicate these to your client/customer/collegues is seamless. Over the years I've reccommended the platform to many companies and home enthusiats and we all love using it. The onboarding courses are available to all making transferring really easy. My 12 year old has even done one of the courses to help her with 3D printing at school.
What do you dislike about the product?
As Onshape has grown its become more corporate and the personal touch isn't there anymore. Back in the day you were always talking to the same sales people and tech support people. The price of success but its only a minor thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a project manager who uses it for 3D GA drawings and communicating ideas to suppliers and stakeholders. The ability to go out into a factory with my laser, measure the area and add dims as I'm walking around saves me a lot of time.
A refreshing experience with CAD software
What do you like best about the product?
No powerful computing hardware is required, and great workflow and collaboration features with the ability to work in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can sometimes slow down based on network connectivity.

CAD collaboration with other team members and revision control. Onshape excels in tracking changes and given that people can work remotely, Onshape helps make collaboration quite seamless

I can use the program without easily without wasting time for administration and I can integrate the documents to many other 3r party product for further treatement

What do you like best about the product?
Cloud based.

It is good, some tool will have some drawback but it is made of it.

Version management

What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that you do not have to save files and every step is recorded. It is easy to collaborate with the team. The customer support is excellent. They respond immediately to any queries however complex. If the problem cannot be solved they add it to the improvements list which is unheaard of with other packages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major that would make me not use it. Most of the issues are adressed in the updates every few feeks. Would like a robust GD&t feature like that in Creo.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Onshape can handle large files with ease. With other packages you would need super powerful computers to handle large assemblies wheras with Onshape you could just sign in on any browser and open anything up on a decent computer.

Straight simple software, no saving needed, nice when software/computer does crash
What do you dislike about the product?
sometimes mating using planes I do miss and a (more simple) possibility to fill in names in drawing heads and to fill in lengths for profiles, or have a library of them.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about onshape is that it is cloud based and I can use it from any device with internet connectivity

Having a slow internet connection may be a bummer

With Onshape we have a broader range of talent available, we currently are having an engineering team working from home in cities separated by a drive an hour or more
