What do you like best about the product?
The user experience. The user interface is a breath of fresh air compared to our previous solutions

Reliability, Availability and Maintainability data storage and connecting it with our Service Lifecycle Management module by way of Product Support Data Management.

complicated to set up. not intuitive for users and admins.

mostly used as PDM. great at organizing CAD models. Engineering configuration management is running smooth on Teamcenter

Teamcenter is great as long as it’s configured correctly
What do you like best about the product?
I’ve used and configured Teamcenter for over a decade. It’s a great tool as long as it’s set up and configured correctly — and this goes for everything from infrastructure to the client/application. The simpler things can be set up and maintained, the better the user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be hard for users to pick up because it is a complex application. Proper training (sometimes advanced) is needed, and training is expensive — both when purchased from Siemens and when developed in house.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
PLM is required for certain contracts my customer supports.

Ability to version control and manage relationships of data. Integration with NX.

Sometimes cumbersome and slow. Performance could be improved.

Central management of data and collaboration. Version control and relational models of data.

Having a central location for the storage of data artifacts a long with the security and control of the data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel as though it has a decent learning curve to understand how to use. Also for users that don't use it often it becomes difficult to come back to the tool

Teamcenter helps us in the control and access of data. The fact engineers can create engineering artifacts and then using Teamcenter, have the data accessible to downstream users/customers make things very easy and straightforward.
