Integrated environment!

What do you like best about the product?
I used Teamcenter in the auto-industry and I was working in a location that didn't have easy access to the manufacturing plant. Teamcenter made it easy to understand the business workflow, have access to the list of team members working in several different vehicle projects and create product designs. It was a very integrated environment and greatly helpful to keep a track of project status.
What do you dislike about the product?
Teamcenter is a unique experience for everyone and I believe setting it up and being a new user can be overwhelming. There were many features that were unknown until someone shared the information. Again, the way a company utilizes Teamcenter can differ and getting hardly any help from Teamcenter can be difficult sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the auto-industry, Teamcenter was used to integrate with a CAD software (in this case, Siemens NX). Product designs were maintained and changes in different stages were recorded, files such as CAD designs, product photos, drawings, team-members and project status were maintained. My favorite feature was being able to see how our vehicles were related to the other and which project it really belonged to, because it made it easier for me to carry out case studies to improve the vehicles.
Teamcenter has reduced the time spent in researching to solve problems, simplified my work by showing me potential and related previous projects and given me a clear picture of the workflow in my company even though I couldn't participate in the physical manufacturing location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely requires a week's time (beginner) to understand how the business or organization works with Teamcenter for their products and services. It is important to have some training before you start working with the product because it is easy to make mistakes if you hurry through it quickly. Ask your company for the features such as - software integration, how to implement changes, standard worksheets, procedural manuals, viewing who made changes, changing licenses, etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Best Engineering design tool for building designs, structures etc. Having centralized place to complete engineering phase of product. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not such as dislike... Everything is good till time except awc client
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am from developer community, I don't have direct problem solving with tc

What do you like best about the product?
Is so customisable but not everybody knows how, you will need program skills and Database knowledge.
About the interface, is clear and clean, to final users there is not hard to find the buttons.
What do you dislike about the product?
The server installation is so complicated and only can be executed by a Siemens engineer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Is easy to organize, share consult information.
You can audit the history of change from a design, document, assembly, etc.
Includes Workflows that is a graphical way to track tasks. It pull the information to fluid all over the Company.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Put special attention to the database, grows so fast.
Depending the number of users the LAN can be saturated.

Ease of use. Love designing on it. Easy to master

The version we use is a few versions old. I'm not sure this would be a fair assessment to the current product

Solving all engineering and designing on NX, easy concepts to grasp.
