Great headless CMS, which is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Contentful is a really nice headless CMS which gives an easy start, but supports you also when you are growing. The Rest based integration into your frontend works well and the SDKs which are provided make it even easier with the integration.
Even users which haven't used a CMS before were really easy to onboard and it was easy to integrate also customized previews.

What do you dislike about the product?
Contentful provides a nice branch functionality for changes within the structure of your CMS. And allows to merge them with each other. Unfortunately something like that doesn't exists for the content itself.
Therefore I would wish an easier way to release content to production. The release feature improves this however already a lot.

As a non profit skiing club we are offering to our members and customers skiing lessons and events in a non profit manner. Contentful helps us thereby to keep our webpage always up-to-date in an easy manner and allows several volunteers to contribute to it.

A developer-friendly CMS
What do you like best about the product?
Contentful is one of the best Headless CMS on the market. It offers a very intuitive user interface, it’s very flexible and highly scalable. Contentful it’s a good tool if you want to decouple content creation from delivery.
The most significant advantage of Contenful is that it provides a powerful API, SDK and a vast ecosystem integration. The platform has an extensive documentation and developer resources that make it easy to integrate Contentful into existing workflows or create custom solutions.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't miss too many features of Contentful. But maybe it could improve the massive import and export of content from the app, without using Contentful cli.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful solves the problem of being able to separate data input from output. In addition, the interface of your app is very simple to use.
We have been able to develop our project in a simpler and faster way.

What do you dislike about the product?
- If the text entered in certain fields contains remains of any previous format, the text is not interpreted correctly. If this problem were solved, hours of revision would be saved.
- It could incorporate the use of AI for translations so that the user only has to fill the inputs in one language and the rest of the languages are filled in automatically.

With contentful for 5 Years now - build an ecommerce shop + cms for multiple platforms on it
What do you like best about the product?
a headless cms with an awesome UI to configure content types that does not struggle on a larger scale. Good APIs for an easy integration in web, very good availability, no noticable service interruptions in all those years. EU company (berlin based) which in the beginning made negotiations and contact easy (no time zone difference, understanding for our market ...)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some important features for us got added late and through apps instead of a more in depth implementation, during those 5 years we have the 5th customer success manager and 3rd sales contact. All of them were and are great but as a customer you wonder about the fluctuation of employees in that regard. It seems that management has shifted to the US during the last couple of years with less understanding and interest for our market (tourism) in the EU.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Distributing content accross multiple platforms (web, ios, android) on a larger scale and storing lots of content in Contentful like ecommerce data and much more.
One of the better CMS I've used
What do you like best about the product?
Having all our content managed outside our codebase but structured in a way that most folks can easily navigate to make changes is a timesaving benefit. Managing content in this way takes stress off the dev team and allows others to have control on when content gets published.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's definitely a learning curve for most people, technical and non-technical alike. There's only a draft and published state, which is a bit limiting because sometimes we want to archive something but we'd haev to revert it to draft form.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful helps us manage content development and deployment for our website without engaging the engineering team or waiting on new releases. That keeps our dev team focused and keeps our non-technical team happy to have some control on when their content gets refreshed.
Reliable CMS for online shop
What do you like best about the product?
- Contentful can act as source of truth for contents for whole online shop
- There is Locale support which allows having content in multiple languages
- Third party apps are easy to install in contentful
- Its very easy to create content models that suits the needs from the Contentful Web UI
- Unpublished contents can be accessed using the preview api
- Content models changes can be experimented in different environments

What do you dislike about the product?
- It's a bit tricky to get an overview of the content tree
- There is no grouping for Content models. If the usecase requires certain type of content models to fall under a group, grouping needs to be hacked using naming conventions that would mimic grouping
- Experimental features sometime go thorugh breaking pages which would make upgrades tricky. One of the example is Compose. There were some content model changes for page and page settings which made upgrade to next version a bit tricky

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contentful serves as a source of truth for all contents of a web application. We have integrated our Translations Management System (TMS) to Contentful. This allows us to dynamically trigger an translations in TMS when new contents are added to Contentful and eventually export the translated content to Contentful. Once all the content is place we preview the content using preview API, and once happy with the preview we publish the content to make available in the main website.
Contentful for CRM
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and looks great. Great capacity to build different templates and capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes you dont see formatting errors in the backend and only see once content is live.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving the need for a developer for all web changes
Contentful is an amazing headless CMS tool
What do you like best about the product?
The best aspects of this tool are its modern and uncluttered UI, the multiple options to connect your app code to Contentful and the excellent communication that the Contentful team has provided us. Additionally, its performance has been on point and the team has always been quick to answer our questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would say I haven't had any real issue with it, it does have a bit of a learning curve, but the interface is pretty simple and the experts support has been great so it's hard to find any fault to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Decouple the code from the content in our applications, allowing us to modify the content and adapt it to different countries and clients without altering the code of the applications.
Great platform with occasional loading problems
What do you like best about the product?
Version history for content entries is helpful and intuitive. Options for referencing between entries are easy to understand and manage. Overall, using a headless system enables effective iteration.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful if there were a version history for content model changes—in the current state, it's challenging to track what changed when dev identifies that something has broken.
Loading multiple entries at once often results in inaccurate error messages that go away when the pages are reloaded.
Loading multiple entries at once often results in inaccurate error messages that go away when the pages are reloaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our business needed a better foundation for managing content in our help center. Contentful has effectively allowed us to move toward a "write once and publish everywhere" approach.
One platform to rule them all
What do you like best about the product?
We picked Contenful over other headless CMS for a number of reasons, flexibility and integration options being the main ones. We had to cater for a very specific scenario presenting complexity around single sign on, multi-tennanted data architecture and integration with other data APIs, all with the goal of allowing the final users to handle all of their web and mobile contents from one place. That's where Contenful and it's framework(s) really shine!
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model could be improved in order to allow access to the full functionality during development stage without impacting the financial side too much, especially for startups or prototype-stage projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing one unified place where customers of our platform can login and manage all aspects of their content and sales lifecycle, in a seamlessly integrated workflow and UI.
