What do you like best about the product?
How easy the platform is to use and understand.

There is not much that I dislike. To get the most out of the Smartling platform, you need to take the training seriously.

Tms always evolving and providing new features. Very attentive to clients' needs. Integration with the most popular softwares in the industry.

The user interface is old, which bring a poor experience to the clients.

The integration with our development department is almost smoothness saving us time on the release of new features to production.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Smartlings is the ability for the services to grow as you do; starting with hosted services and then getting more robust as you grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the string viewing options are difficult to map; I'd like to see the translated strings in the context of the actual page being translated when I set up my jobs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to launch our portal into another country with a minimal impact on our daily job functions. Smartlings opened up a LOT of time savings for us.

Smartlings made the process of translation simple and straightforward. I would make sure that you properly understand what, exactly, you want translated before you start and work with Smartlings to create the proper rules to auto-translate this content.

What do you like best about the product?
Smart and intuitive product constantly developed to suit customer needs. Great customer service. Responsiveness. Loads of resources in the help center.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to push translation strings to a step of my choice in the workflow rather than just the next step as it is currently. For example, for languages where the review step isn't necessary at a given time, I would like to push directly to 'Publish' step.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improving time to market. Reducing manual steps and resources required, and therefore allowing to be more productive. Cost saving and leveraging translation memories.

What do you like best about the product?
I've been working with Smartling for a while now, and it's always been an enjoyable experience. They're quick to respond to my questions and willing to help us with one-off tasks that we couldn't complete independently. The Smartling team is excellent; they always tell us about new products and how we can improve our translation processes.

I can't think of anything right now. Everything is good.

I don't have a good understanding of the differences in UI for the different roles, so it is sometimes challenging to advise translators or product managers

Great tool for centralization the localization process and bringing the translators and project managers into one place

- How the solution is out of the box and so easy to integrate with our internal systems. They have many out-of-box API and connectors, and it's easy to get up to speed quickly with your internal/external platforms that need localization.

So far it's been good. I haven't explored other tools that much, so it's hard to compare.

The platform is a bit complex and sometimes for a small update there are several steps to it

The Most Disappointing SaaS Experience
What do you like best about the product?
We used the GDN and their version of the WordPress WPML engine. The GDN served the pages in real time to our customers. The WordPress PlugIn gives you more control to let you decide what content you want localized or not.
What do you dislike about the product?
The company really doesn't know the meaning of customer success. We had to chase our CSM every time there was an issue. There was almost no support. It felt like we were in a bad marriage. We tried other competitors, and nothing worked with our instance of WordPress.
Also, when you use the GDN, your content sits on the Smartling server, and they basically "own it."

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it much easier to track the content that needs to be localized on the website. It makes the entire process automated, allowing translators to localize in context. That means they can see if the text doesn't fit within the frame of a button. They also integrate with ZenDesk, which made it easier to localize the knowledge base.
