What do you like best about the product?
It is user-friendly, the order in which you work is logical and simple. uploading images is easy, and even takes care of inclusivity, with giving images a correct title for screenreader users.
What do you dislike about the product?
it creates big white spaces between the different features are not very esthetically pleasing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our previous program was always very slow, so contentstack is saving me a lot of time! Also, the modern products that are made with contentstack are pleasing my suppliers and brands, which evolves into an even better business relation.

Overall, the app is easy to navigate, but it could use tweaks to encourage collaboration among teams

What do you like best about the product?
ContentStack is easy to navigate. Details are organized and labeled accordingly. Our team uses the app on a daily basis to implement changes on our websites. There are also features that help facilitate these changes such as scheduling and staging, which make things easier as we no longer have to rely solely on our testing environment to see how our changes would look like. My team is also able to provide feedback and get customer support from time-to-time, especially when we encounter challenges with using the app. Overall, even if it has been less than a year since we've launched our website using ContentStack, it was easier to integrate into our daily processes than we initially expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hope ContentStack gives us more freedom to edit labels per categories and shift layers (e.g. nav menu items and sub-links) so that we can easily integrate terminologies that are specific to our organization. Also, I wish that the interface someday makes it easier for teams to collaborate on projects. What happens is that sometimes, scheduled events are overwritten if other team members are trying to change a different dimension in the site. Hopefully, the application becomes easier to collaborate in and that it would be strategized upon for this vision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ContentStack is easier to navigate compared to our previous content management system. This gives us back time that we could use on other projects.

Great CMS with powerful tools, but a not so intuitive UI

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy is to create content and manage it once you are familiar with the UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is not intuitive. I experienced both, the old and the new UI and I think the old one was more intuitive but less appealing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Contentstack for storing articles information. We then query CS from our services and retrieve all the information to render it in our websites.

Pretty useful tool for content management, despite some glitches

What do you like best about the product?
I think it's a very intuitive tool, I've been able to use it for some months now and I never really looked into the tutorial. There's a wide arrange of features to implement different types of content on pages without the need to know HTML etc, but I also think it lacks some autonomy for the user in that department. For example, the "feature card" feature could have an option for choosing who to display text-picture: side by side or picture on the top and text below.
What do you dislike about the product?
The redesign that rolled out this year increased the size of page elements in the editor and, consequently, they now occupy bigger chunks of screen, making it difficult to use Content Stack in PCs with smaller displays. I believe the previous layout was more effective in that sense. Plus, there's a pretty annoying bug when I try to expand the info uon some card when editing pages. I always need to press the down arrow twice in order to open the cards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a pretty straightforward service so it helps to decrease the time spent on training new employees. In that term, it's great to impolement it in big teams because anybody can use it effortlessly, without the need to make long trainings.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and quick process to import information and publish it. You can look up past publishes as well which is helpful if you forget the progress to copy.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to know what information you exactly need for each entry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For each Email and/or SMS send - we enter a unique source code that identifies the send and helps us track revenue and other attributes through our backend system CDW.

C-Stack Experience

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how flexible it is and the UI is very easy to understand. I like the fact that you can leave comments with each version of a content type. I like how everything is connected and you can see references to where content is being used. We have so many different functions that we use C-stack for and it's amazing how versatile it is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The search function could be a little better. The old UI sometimes gives me better results but too many results. Search in the new UI is a little bit more complex to search specific parts of different content types, but there are times where it doesn't give me the correct results. Also it's confusing when fields are collapsed and there's a number by it making me think it's a filled in field so i uncollapse only to find it empty.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a lot of different API services where we leverage C-stack for that functionality. We use it to manage a lot of content for products, collection pages, & landing pages. it serves as a central repository for our web content and it's easy to navigate.

    Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

Our first projects were very confusing and we struggled with unexpected system behavior.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that things get so confusing and messy that I'm the only one that can make things work. That's good for job security.
What do you dislike about the product?
The rich text editor is really buggy, and you have to use the html to make things work, which limits the population that can effectively use the platform. There are ways to make subtle mistakes in project setup that can set you back weeks when you later realize that things won't work as expected. The ways that entries are connected are not intuitive at all, although this might have been due to how our developers built our first project. The localizations and language settings also created majjor confusion, and we need to rebuild an entire site to correct discrepancies. This should have been anticipated during an onboarding and should have been avoided. (We built two sites that had different master languages, and now we want to modularize our content, which will require rebuilding one so that the language settings match.) I often experience lags that get really annoying when I'm repeating the same sequence of key strokes over and over again. It might be because we're hosting the site on another continent, though. A half second delay per click gets to be a lot when you do thousands of clicks per sub-project. The way that searches work and that search results are displayed could be improved. If you navigate away from a sorted list of search results and then hit the back button (in the platform or on the browser) you lose the sorting, or the specific results page that you were looking at, for example. Finally (for now), we have a bug that requires saving and publishing instead of just publishing. It's not clear why saving should be a required step. Save should mean save without publishing. Publish should mean save and publish, in our opinion.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's letting us modularize content and have a single source of truth.
