Excellent BI solution, with great UX and awesome community
What do you like best about the product?
It has a great UX and is very straightforward to use, and advanced users can easily drop into SQL if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
That not many people know about it, so whenever I bring it to a new company there is some resistance from folks that prefer other brands that invest more in marketing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating plots, tables and dashboards with SQL to share data visualizations with my team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out, as the onboarding setup is a breeze. It even runs on Heroku, which is great for a small company/department.
Here we run it on a more elaborate setup with App Engine Flex, as over 100 people are using it.

What do you like best about the product?
Visualizations, automatic suggestions of best one. Easy DB selection
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not dislike anything about metabase as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can simply save frequent data requirements from the business or marketing team and they can download or view the data as per their requirement.
Open source, super powerful data visualisation tool
What do you like best about the product?
It is free. Functionality is very powerful, supports almost all data sources you would like to connect to it. Bugs are getting fixed quickly, a lot of updates with new functionality. Really love their answers section.
What do you dislike about the product?
Canvas for dashboards is limited. Can't blend data coming from different data sources. In case if data is stored in a different database you first need to pre-process it in some sort of DWH before getting connected to Metabase.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The "Answers" feature is super nice allowing users to create and store data queries "answering" some specific questions. You can also re-use saved answers in dashboards later.
Alert to Slack is also very helpful. Allowing you immediately (once an hour) to get an update once there is a potential problem with data.

What do you like best about the product?
It's one of the easy to use tool for making a dashboard. Writing SQL queries in it is very easy and also it's very fast which makes the analysis fast.
The dashboard can be modified in to various forms like table or any chart. It has multiple options to modify the chart and thus serves the purpose of visualisation tool as well. It's easy to connect with different databases and query to get the output. It also tracks the edition history which really helps in keeping the track of the creator of dashboards and the details of modification done. Also it serves the purpose of visualisation tool for easy tracking of various KPIs.

What do you dislike about the product?
Servers are sometimes not very responsive and lacks some chart visualisation tools. If these Things are modified and implemented this would really make it the best tool for dashboards.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the help of metabase we've really solved the day to day problems of ecommerce and it has helped us in tracking the daily numbers of the business. This has helped a alot in making various business decisions and also serves the purpose of communicating with various teammates by sharing the dashboard with them. It has helped in improving the skills and made analysis easier and with it's intuitive user interface anyone can make a dashboard of their requirements very easily and in less time.

I don’t dislike anything, the software is very beneficial to companies such as mine.

What do you like best about the product?
Metabase is such a cool online tool for businesses and it really allows businesses to grow. It requires you to learn and code, but once you know what you are looking forward, the data possibilities are endless. I think that overall, Metabase is a great service and we use it at a start-up company and it really has changed the way we report data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think because there is not a lot of storage or abilities to house the data, sometimes the links break and the data is "N/A" - Aside from that, which might be our companies error as we are using Metabase constantly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall, a new way to present data and to bring data to the forefront that would not be possible with other services.

Just keep pushing forward.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that you have the options to set up simple filters as well as writing your own query.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that the error messaging was more specific. It would be nice to highlight the portion of your SQL is creating the issue so that you could quickly pinpoint the problem instead of having to hunt for the exact character position specified.

Helps with ad-hoc reporting and keeping track of daily, weekly, monthly metrics.
