Flexible Integration and Open Support, But Lacks Native Connection with Palo Alto
What do you like best about the product?
Once everything is integrated, it can be done from the panel. There are multiple forms of integration and the Datadome team is open to making corrections and modifications.
What do you dislike about the product?
It lacks native integration with Palo Alto, which I consider a significant disadvantage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to stop DDOS attacks in a centralized manner, offering an overview of all traffic to facilitate monitoring. The query interface is very intuitive and there is abundant documentation available for integrations.

What do you dislike about the product?
One of the most significant points of contention is the price. The platform is considered a premium, and at times, very expensive solution, with pricing starting in the thousands of dollars per month. This can be a major barrier for smaller businesses or those with limited security budgets.

DataDome is analysing the entire traffic entering in our eCommerce website to eliminate all possible bots

What do you like best about the product?
The integration of DataDome was done quickly, with very professional support from the technical teams. From the POC phase, we were able to measure the system's effectiveness in detecting and blocking suspicious behavior without impacting the user experience. The solution integrates seamlessly into our stack and the interface allows for detailed traffic analysis, which is very useful for our technical teams. The dashboard is intuitive and the reports are clear: we can immediately see the impact of the solution in terms of threat detection and blocking. Another strong point is the ability to easily manage exception rules, such as whitelisting IPs for certain technical partners or third-party services, which is essential in our context.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has happened to us that the solution triggers captchas for legitimate users, especially during traffic spikes or behaviors mistakenly considered suspicious. However, the DataDome teams have always been responsive in analyzing these cases and adjusting the rules accordingly.

The manual analysis of abnormal traffic also represented a significant burden for our development team, diverting resources from higher value-added tasks.

We needed to protect our site from content scrapers and bots, and we found DataDome to be the perfect solution. DataDome integrated seamlessly into our systems and offers a clear dashboard to monitor traffic and blocks. Modifying custom rules is straightforward and immediate, and analyzing anomalies is quick and clear. Their customer service is highly responsive, providing solutions even for the most challenging bots, such as in cases of false negatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a service it is almost perfect: some improvements could be a larger set of historical data, currently limited to a 30-day time window, and more customization of the captcha page.
