Airtable makes data management approachable and easy
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is extremely helpful for collaborating across departments, I really love how other people can edit and maintain data bases.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I don't like is the functionality of the formulas. It can be hard to get some of the information to work together, especially when there are dates or time involved.
Sometimes it can be hard to view the data as a whole, example: it was very difficult for me to view specific data sets within our larger databases

Fantastic platform for flexible and customized data management -- no coding experience required
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is far more than a spreadsheet tool or even a relational database. The platform allows non-technical users to develop and customize multiple apps for a plethora of business use cases, with the potential to visualize complex datasets in multiple ways and surface the most actionable and simplified information to end users without the risk of information overload. The flexibility is one of the biggest benefits when using Airtable; you can build a solution to almost any problem, but there are also handy templates and guides for getting started in a hurry. Integrations exist for multiple other programs and platforms, including Slack, Outlook, the Google Suite of products and more, and implementation is simple. Our media organization uses Airtable every day across multiple departments to keep track of vital information and to help manage various workflows.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the customizability of the platform is a significant benefit, it can also become a hindrance if workflow planning and implementation is not strictly governed. More recent additions to the platform, including two-way syncing, data libraries and managed app templates have made governance across multiple bases more manageable, but clear communication and guidance for new users is critical to ensure data integrity in the long-term. Additionally, the nomenclature and application of user roles and permissions (including end users being able to extend high-level permissions to other users) has some drawbacks, likely due to the platform's rapid expansion into providing solutions for new use cases. If the platform user permissions matched the admin labels, at least, it would be easier to understand from an access provisioning perspective. There are also some limitations to working with external users, with the pricing model operating on a per-user basis and scaling based on permissions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is tackling everything from information intake to production management to analytics reporting. We are using it for all of these purposes and more, making connections across departments at our media organization to ensure staff and external partners are aware of who is responsible for various aspects of production and promotional support, what the goals and outcomes are for each project, how we're performing against those targets and more.
Accessible and useful
What do you like best about the product?
I just started using Airtable at a new job starting a few months ago and I've really enjoyed it so far. It's pretty intuitive and easy to set up fairly complex tables/bases for someone with little coding experience. I've been able to do more than I would with Excel, without needing to know complicated functions or design elements.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a little intimidating to get started, so honestly the biggest downside is convincing coworkers to interact with an Airtable as regularly as they would with, say, an Excel workbook or Google Sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed to track policy priorities throughout complicated federal lawmaking processes. Airtable allowed me to unite information all in one place that previously was spread out across many different documents and formats, and to link it together in ways that streamlined our team's work.
Casting Office Wonder!
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it's completely customizable to our needs. If I need to learn something new there are plenty of tutorials online.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some things are non-changeable, like how dates and phone numbers are formatted, so it's hard to make it as easily accessible for our global clients.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It provides a platform for us to gather multiple user data and synthesize that data into beautifully digestible views that our clients love.
Airtable is a versatile and user-friendly platform that combines the simplicity of a spreadsheet with the power of a database. It allows users to organize and manage data efficiently, offering features such as customizable views, collaboration tools, and integration with other applications. Users appreciate its flexibility and ease of use, making it suitable for a wide range of projects and industries. However, some may find the pricing model a bit steep for larger teams or more extensive use cases.
What do you like best about the product?
Accessibility, Smart User Interface, Powerful Capabilities (with Automations, Functions, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
Because of the particular field types, there may be limitations in creating precise, specific automations and functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is helping to speed up manual processes and serves as a powerful organizational tool to track multiple simultaneous deadlines, expirations, and requirements. Airtable helps relieve the mental energy required to track and organize a myriad of activities and supports communication and visibility between teams.
Solid collaboration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable has a lot of functionality that extends past a basic spreadsheet. We use it every day as a team. It's a great collaborative tool and allows for automations to streamline processes and communication. I like the integrations with google calendar and other systems. I also really appreciate the fact that the Airtable team always offers free training services so you're able to practice and learn more about the tool live.
What do you dislike about the product?
Airtable can be overly complicated at times and is still limited in terms of sharing abilities. For instance, sometimes I want to share part of a base with the team but I don't want to give access to the whole workspace. I wish you could pick and choose access levels and what was visible to whom without needing to copy to a new base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Airtable is a great tool for project management and task management. The calendar integrations make it particularly easy to plan and break out tasks so they are more manageable and can be accomplished on a deadline.
I also use Airtable for collaboration and communication with my team. It helps streamline action items and makes sure we're all on the same page regarding next steps and task.

Airtable makes everyday amazing
What do you like best about the product?
Airtable is such a convenient way to collaborate with colleagues within and without my organization. It's quickly replacing our use of shared excel sheets and works as a very nimble database and project tracker.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be frustrating that we are limited to base collaborators within in our organization but the interfaces are a nice workaround.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking projects across groups. Making data visualizations more cloud based.
