PRM platform for all sizes

What do you like best about the product?
A PRM solution built with solid core functionality and smart add on modules for as you grow. This allows speed to market and flexibility in what you deploy to fit your needs now and as you grow. Now with the new editing tool, design, page layout and updates are even more in your control and simple for anyone to make the changes. Behind the technology is a kick ass team who works to connect you up with other industry leaders and trends to help you grow and scale your partner business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Patiently waiting for an update to their dashboard capabilities to catch up with all the segmentation that is available in the product vs. by level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Deal registration and pipeline management along with license requests are the largest use of our partner portal to date. It also functions to serve up relevant content to support our partners. We are growing into adding the training module this month.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Figure out your roadmap of what problems you need to solve first and start there. Don't make the project too big that launch date is too far out. Launch with something and keep adding.

What do you like best about the product?
After doing a thorough review of various PRM platforms, Impartner came out on top as the clear winner. A key requirements for us was to have the ability to retain the robust features that we had built into our custom portal, but with a better, more user friendly user interface. Additionally, we needed the solution to tightly integrate with our Salesforce CRM.

Impartner did that and more. Out of the box, the Impartner solution delivered the range of functionality we needed to enable and support our partners; from deal registration and lead distribution to business planning and MDF management.
What do you dislike about the product?
We required several 3rd party application integrations. Two of the three integrations went very smoothly. The third was problematic and took a bit of time to resolve. The issue was less with Impartner and more with the other 3rd party provider being responsive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Two key problems we were trying to solve for were how to increase our partner engagement and to accelerate the time to sale for new partners.

So far we've seen an increase in overall increase is partner engagement through our portal of more than 40% since going live with Impartner 18 months ago. We have also seen a decrease in the time it takes a new partner to register and close their first deals.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a clear business strategy for utilizing a PRM solution and develop the business processes you'll need to support that strategy before you being. The Impartner PRM is a great platform, but you'll save your self time and more quickly start realizing the benefits by doing this upfront planning.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful part of the Impartner platform is that we have a one stop shop for our program elements that partners can access from a single sign on. Sales tools, marketing request, deal management, training, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very Important to have sales/channel operations support to make sure you are integrating into your other business systems properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were solving the inability to track our deal registrations via an external link. Now we have visibility into our partner pipeline in our system of record. We realized we can capture a lot more partner engagement and see where/how partner are interacting with us.

What do you like best about the product?
The Impartner PRM solution offers rich functionality for partner programs of all shapes and sizes. The new CMS functionality really puts control in the customer's hands to make content edits.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of product documentation and roadmap execution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with clients of all shapes and sizes we are able to leverage the PRM to meet the various programmatical needs. Salesforce integration has been key in every implementation I have done. The fact that Impartner can serve up lead and opportunity information in a partner-friendly format with partner-friendly naming conventions is a huge benefit

Partner Portal Innovator

What do you like best about the product?
The overall partner user experience is great. It looks good, it's modern and it's easy to manage the content overall. With Partner Segmentation, you can customize the overall experience to the user level that will give the user a unique experience based on the segmentation without any manual set up. I also like the built-in self-service features that allow partners to update, add and remove users. I also like the fact we have salesforce objects as part of the deployment that allows us to make customizations in Salesforce.com without having to work through other teams and salesforce object limits. Since many of our partners are managed by our distributors we enabled the Distribution portal with features that will allow those distributors to manage onboarding and engage those partners helping us to improve coverage and support in those partners in various regions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There was a curve in getting set up and deployed. But the customer support has been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create a modern, easy to use partner portal that will encourage engagement and keep our partners loyal to us. Impartner enabled us to achieve this, in a unique way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure there is alignment with the Sales, Channel Sales/Program and IT organization on the overall process and end-user experience before starting this type of project.

Great platform, an even better team.

What do you like best about the product?
After evaluating a number of different PRM solutions, Impartner came out ahead as the leader. Their basic functionality, along with their additional modules, covering nearly all PRM needs handily. Their asset library with co-branding functionality is outstanding. Another significant plus was that their pricing structure allowed us to onboard large partners and roll it out to anyone in their organization without paying more "per seat/login." That being said, we have found that the best part of Impartner hasn't been the functionality but their staff. They are passionate and dedicated to their customer's success.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their self-service knowledge base could be built out more. We know this is an area that they are focusing on however so it is just early in the process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As our organization is building out our partner/channel ecosystem we needed a way to engage our partners in a way that provided a robust foundation for future growth. Impartner provided that. The platform allows us to scale our channel program to meet current and future needs.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up and connect to Salesforce. Easy to update and maintain content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some development requires Impartner support. This has been reduced with the rollout of CMS 3.0.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to establish a great foundation to scale and automate our partner business. Will continue to add new modules as our program matures.

Highly Configurable Partner Portal That Scales

What do you like best about the product?
With a tool as robust as IMPartner I expected the learning curve to be much steeper. With the resources that we're available, our implementation manager Dustin and attending IMPartnerCon I feel like we have gained a platform that will allow us to propel our channel program to new heights.

Aside from this, the analytics provided are granular enough that you have complete insight into areas of opportunity such as user logins, pages frequently visited, asset downloads, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there is no shortage of functionality with IMPartner often times that's initially it's Achilles' heel; it can be daunting to get started, endless workflows and configurability. The more they can do to improve the "suggested" settings the better.

The lingo used by IMPartner is vast. You'll want to truly understand the lingo yourself before training your team internally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a relatively new channel program (less than 2 years old), but even so have close to 100 relationships that we've been managing in 100 different ways. With IMPartner we're able to align how we provide resources, how partners are submitting opportunities and push folks to a single source of truth.

Easy to implement and use - Great tool for the channel!

What do you like best about the product?
We use the social sharing tool from Impartner and it is a huge asset for our channel partners. It not only allows us to broadcast our messaging, but allows our partners to manage their whole social media presence. It even allows partners to manage content from other vendors in their portfolio through the feeds section.
It is extremely easy to manage from an admin perspective and even easier for users.

What do you dislike about the product?
On the admin side, it would be great to get more flexibility to amend posts once they have been sent to review, as at the moment we would have to re-create the post to make certain changes.

The user side is great, no dislikes there. I'm really looking forward to seeing the app version of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We didn't have a "live" stream of content sharing with partners. Other than newsletters and other emails, partners didn't get a tailor made assortment of content from F5. This is definitely a step towards better enablement tools for partners.
We have definitely increased our reach and started re-engaging with partners.

Transforming Partner Experience

What do you like best about the product?
Impartner allows a channel team to take control of their destiny and transform the partner experience based on their knowledge and experience without having to depending on slower/outdated IT processes/procedures. It puts the Partner Experience in the hands of those best suited to curate it.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the benefits of Impartner is the ability to configure the partner experience in the way best suited for each situation. However, starting from a white sheet is more difficult than editing other best practices. Having templates available would help get the portal up and running even more quickly. In addition, mass data import is a bit clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have the ability to consolidate over 38 touchpoints into one with Impartner. In addition, implementing the portal allows us to re-engineer our business processes from the partner's perspective and configure the interface most appropriately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you have a dedicated PRM admin on-bard from the beginning. If you are dealing with traditional IT teams, used to implementing projects like SFDC, they may not understand the difference between configuration and development... get this in front of customers early and often... let them drive your implementation.
