HubSpot Marketing Hub: The Source of Truth for Startup Growth Reporting

  • January 24, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a marketing lead for growth-stage companies (startups) HubSpot is as good as it gets. I've used the HubSpot Marketing Hub at 4 different startups, and it's exactly what we need for our growth. The Sources Report is my literal source-of-truth for reporting on what's filling our funnel and the cost of customer acquisition (CAC). The startup discount HubSpot offers is much-needed when the vc-backed budget is tight.
What do you dislike about the product?
With the rise of Gen AI, the reporting on Contact creation is still fuzzy. At one point, we could see when ChatGPT and other LLMs were sending us leads. Now for some reason, all of the new Contacts created from AEO/GEO are being classified as "Direct" instead of with the AI source. At least we know our content strategy is working but it would be nice to see the actual platform a Contact started on. The same goes for Organic. We can't see if a Contact started on Google (or Gemini) vs. Bing in the reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing attribution, particularly first touch for a new Contact created.

I like how it helps us organize and track the presales pipeline in one place, so that we can stay on top of leads and next steps.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a bit overwhelming at first, especially when we are setting up the pipeline and automation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes us to easy to keep the presales process moving without losing track of follow-ups. We can see everything in one place and respond faster.

Unmatched Data Depth in HubSpot for More Personalized Campaigns

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The depth of the data available in HubSpot is unlike any platform I've used before. Having so many more customer attributes available provides a lot of new opportunities for tailoring campaigns more accurately per customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve was more challenging than I expected. The depth of the data opens up a lot of possibilities, but you really need to know how to use it to take full advantage of what it offers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot has helped us unify several processes, including social media management. Being able to post to multiple accounts from a single platform is a game changer, and I also love that I can search and find our posts from any social network all in one place.

Streamlined Our Non-Profit's Marketing Efforts

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that HubSpot Marketing Hub is organized and user-friendly. I also really appreciate the way that information is stored and connected in a way that makes reports easy to use. Moving everything into HubSpot drastically streamlined our processes and was more user-friendly for our team, so edits became more accessible and happened quicker.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think if information for reports could be broken down even further - like going specifically into times things were submitted and not just the date.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Marketing Hub centralizes our website, socials, ads, and CRM, making it easier to organize and track data trends. It's more user-friendly, allowing quicker edits and improving collaboration between marketing and sales.

User-Friendly Interface with Email Deliverability Concerns

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like using HubSpot Marketing Hub for its user-friendly interface. It really helps with a range of marketing automation and management tasks, making the workflow simpler and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've encountered email deliverability issues, where some users have reported challenges with ensuring emails land in the recipient's inbox instead of the spam folder. This can be a concern. It leads to reduced engagement rates when emails land in spam or promotional folders instead of inboxes, resulting in lower open and click-through rates, affecting the overall performance. Also, integrating existing tools with HubSpot can involve some challenges, especially if the previous software lacked open APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use HubSpot Marketing Hub for automating and managing marketing tasks, reducing time-consuming manual processes.

Comprehensive Marketing Suite with Room for Improvement

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the emailing, CTA, and website tracking features of HubSpot Marketing Hub. I also enjoy being able to look at new customers and see how they came in, what they viewed, and what they clicked on.
What do you dislike about the product?
I hate that I cannot see sales sequences, and doesn't particularly make sense as marketing for most companies is the department composing that messaging. There's a lot of siloing between the different suites of Hubspot
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Marketing Hub helps me understand audiences, customer communications with sales and support, and campaign data.

One-Stop Marketing Hub That Streamlines Campaigns, Automation, CRM & Reporting

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's a one stop solution for all Marketing related processes. From campaign planning to email automation to CRM data & reporting, it helps manage everything and streamline processes. Ease of coordination amongst team members who are in different physical locations is also a huge advantage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Probably the only downside is that some important features are behind the paywall. And this feels restrictive since advance automations and workflows can only be done with Enterprise access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps in centralising and optimising the entire Marketing Process. Instead of using different tools, we are able to use this for all our marketing-related needs, and that helps in saving time as well as improving the campaign consistency.

All-in-One Marketing Hub That Brings Structure, Visibility, and Efficiency

  • January 23, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about HubSpot Marketing Hub is how everything is connected in one system.

Emails, forms, landing pages, workflows, contacts, and reports all work together, so you’re not jumping between tools or manually pulling data to understand performance. You can launch a campaign and clearly see how it impacts leads and engagement at the contact level, which is a big plus.

The automation and workflows are another strong point. Once they’re set up, they handle lead nurturing, follow-ups, internal notifications, and lifecycle updates with very little manual effort. It saves a lot of time on repetitive tasks.

I also like how easy it is for non-technical users. Creating emails, forms, or landing pages doesn’t require developer support. The interface is clean, and most features are easy to pick up with regular use.

Lastly, the reporting and analytics are genuinely useful. You get clear insights into what content and campaigns are working, which helps with planning and optimization instead of relying on guesswork.

Overall, it brings structure, visibility, and efficiency to day-to-day marketing work.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike most about HubSpot Marketing Hub is the pricing and feature gating.

As your database grows or you want more advanced features, costs increase quickly. A lot of the really powerful functionality like advanced automation, custom reporting, or attribution is locked behind higher tiers, which can be frustrating if you’re a growing team.

The learning curve can also be steeper than it looks at first. While basic tasks are easy, setting up workflows, lifecycle stages, and reports correctly takes time. If things aren’t configured properly early on, it can create messy data that’s hard to clean up later.

Another drawback is limited flexibility in some areas. Customization is good, but not unlimited. Certain templates, reporting views, or automation logic can feel restrictive if you have very specific or complex use cases.

Lastly, performance can occasionally feel sluggish, especially when working with large contact lists or detailed reports.

It’s a strong platform overall, but you do pay a premium and need to be disciplined about setup and ongoing maintenance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot Marketing Hub mainly solves the problem of fragmented marketing systems and poor visibility into results.

Before using it, marketing activities tend to be spread across multiple tools emails in one place, forms in another, analytics somewhere else. HubSpot brings all of that together, so campaigns, contacts, automation, and reporting are connected by default. That alone removes a lot of manual work and confusion.

It also solves lead management and follow-up gaps. With workflows, you’re not relying on someone to remember when to nurture a lead or notify sales. The system handles scoring, routing, and follow-ups automatically, which means fewer leads fall through the cracks.

Another big problem it addresses is measurement. HubSpot makes it much easier to see what content, emails, and campaigns are actually driving engagement and conversions. You can track a lead’s full journey instead of just surface-level metrics.

The benefit for me is time and clarity. Less manual coordination, fewer tools to manage, and much clearer insight into what’s working and what isn’t. That makes planning, optimization, and collaboration with sales far more effective.

  • January 22, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use HubSpot Marketing Hub to send emails, schedule social media posts, and for reporting and analytics. I really appreciate the clean and intuitive user interface, which is easy to use. I find the forms, email, and social features valuable because they make streamlining and planning marketing efforts easy. The initial setup was also easy for my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email drag and drop is somewhat limited. I wish there were more options, more templates, and more customization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use HubSpot Marketing Hub to send emails, schedule social media posts, and generate reports. It builds workflows to target emails effectively and helps understand how marketing drives growth.
