Great design, but the Salesforce sync isn't production-ready
We've had serious, recurring problems with HubSpot's native Salesforce integration, and the support experience has been just as frustrating as the bug itself.
Three separate times, the sync has overwritten data in Salesforce, our system of record. The documentation doesn't match how the integration actually behaves, so there was no way to see this coming, and no way to find an answer on our own. We escalated and worked directly with HubSpot's product team. They gave us a fix, we deployed it, and it happened again. At this point, we still cannot effectively sync the two systems.
We've also heard this isn't unique to Salesforce. Other CRMs report similar sync issues, which point to a gap in HubSpot's support and documentation for integration behavior in general, not something specific to our setup.
