Very poor reporting tools
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is nice and clean, which makes learning HubSpot pretty easy to do. Campaign dashboards are nice to look at, but functionally, they're lacking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basic reporting is non-existent in HubSpot. The best you can get is deliver, open, and click rates. But if you need any type of filtered info like "emails sent to list x last week", you're going to have to manually export that data because there's no way to do it in HubSpot. It's extremely frustrating and time consuming. Also the compatibility with SalesForce is poor as well, which leads to even more manual work on my part. Another big annoyance is A/B testing. You can A/B test, but not with automated emails, making it a virtually useless feature for our organization.
Landing pages are extremely templated. By that, I mean that you cannot put content outside of the templated area, which limits what you can do with a landing page, big time. It's fine for simple web-to-lead forms, but for something more creative, forget it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot makes it easy to automate emails, but that's about it.
HubSpot provides me with an all-inclusive digital work environment that is both clean and enjoyable
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is ideal for my work situation because it pools a variety of tools into one, easily-accessible platform. I can simultaneously track and manage, for example, my landing page performance alongside my social media accounts, without having to leave the platform. I have saved so much time an energy because everything I need is one place. I couldn't imagine having to go back to multiple platforms in the future. Plus, the interface is clean and easy to navigate. I have spent upwards of 25 hours a week with HubSpot open on my monitor for over a year, and never once have I been frustrated with the site aesthetics. The quality and cleanliness of the space makes me more focused and productive throughout the day: With more mental space and energy to tackle my work projects and create long-term growth plans, our organization is better equipped to succeed and achieve our strategic goals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind at the moment. Any problems I have usually arise out of my own ignorance and can be quickly solved with the support team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since using HubSpot, our organization has been able to track long term growth via the reporting tools and optimize our marketing strategy to a degree we never knew was possible before. The kind of granular data we can collect in conjunction with the way we can constantly fine tune/optimize our brand makes all the difference for our long-term growth plan.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering switching to HubSpot, take some time to either talk to a representative or read about the long term benefits of switching to their inbound marketing plan. It's not simply a matter of functionality and the ease of operations, it's about setting your organization up with an achievable long-term growth plan.
Powerful capabilities, user-friendly.
What do you like best about the product?
There are a lot of things you can do with Hubspot...the possibilities are endless. From automating workflows, to creating landing pages, drag-and-drop emails, and contact list segmentation, it's the most powerful marketing tool I've used that keeps you organized, and is mostly very user-friendly. It's very easy to create workflows that put the power back in your team's hands, and free up your time for more strategic tasks, so you don't spend endless hours pouring over busywork.
What do you dislike about the product?
The email template builder and design manager can be somewhat confusing, and are more time-consuming than I would prefer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hubspot automates so much of our work, we're able to free up our time to do more strategic tasks. With only a handful of people in the marketing department, we're an absolute powerhouse that's able to accomplish a crazy amount, all thanks to Hubspot. Our emails no longer look boring, they look professional, engaging, and in-line with our branding. Creating a landing page is incredibly fast, and sending new leads through an automated workflow so they get served up content for their buyer journey, and then are routed to the appropriate sales executive, is incredibly helpful. We've integrated our linkedin ads, Salesforce, and GoToWebinar all with Hubspot, and it has streamlined everything and made our work simplified and more efficient.
Amazing Social Media Management Tool
What do you like best about the product?
Creating and scheduling social posts is a breeze with HubSpot. Our organization also enjoys the robust analytics and reporting tools Hubspot offers. The ability to create a landing page with lead capture has been very beneficial to our marketing goals as well. The interface is very user-friendly and we have new team members able to pick it up quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I liked the old reporting and analytics dashboard better before they changed it, so it's taking some getting used to. Our team doesn't have the need for all of the features on the platform (such as Sales and Conversations), so it sometimes feels like we are wasting money.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have saved so much time being able to schedule our social posts months in advance. We can also easily pull reports in one click which also saves us tons of time.
Hubspot is a powerful tool even for college recruitment
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Hubspot has so much potential to be customized exactly to your company's needs. We use Hubspot not only to track our email marketing and communication with our contacts, but also to process our applications. It is a powerful tool for applicant analysis and marketing effectiveness.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limitations, specifically with the Notes, Calls, and Meetings, sessions that I would like to see resolved. I would love to be able to export these types of properties.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One big problem we're solving is answering the question "how did our contacts first hear about us?" We do that through tracking their form submissions, website visits, and then other custom properties.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend experimenting with Hubspot a great deal to test the limits of what it can do. You will find great out-of-the box ways to make Hubspot work for your company.
HubSpot is an easy, user friendly marketing automation solution
What do you like best about the product?
HubSpot is user friendly and easy to navigate. Their email tool is very straight forward and easy to build. They have templates already built that can be used for emails. I love the social media piece and how you can schedule everything in the platform and then add it to a campaign to track everything as a whole.
What do you dislike about the product?
HubSpot is a out of the box solution which is great, but there are some things that I want customized that HubSpot can't do. For example, you have to create a custom field for custom lead statues and you can't report on them in HubSpot via a funnel. They only show their statuses in the funnel. Also with workflows, you can only have people re enter a workflow based on certain criteria vs. just being able to say yes they can enter again or no.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HubSpot makes demand generation easy. It allows for all parts of a campaign to happen in one platform. It keeps social media in one platform which other marketing automation platforms do not. This allows you to track social with the rest of your campaign. It also keeps your blog in one platform allowing you to track on that with your campaign as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
HubSpot is an out of box solution for businesses that are not experienced in marketing automation or only have 1 person with not a ton of experience running it. It allows for some customization, but not a lot. If you just need to get started and are looking for something quick and easy, HubSpot is great.
HubSpot is a powerful marketing tool to have in your digital bag!
What do you like best about the product?
The features I enjoy most about HubSpot is my ability to automate our prospects journeys using workflows and landing pages to customize content and messaging along their buyers journey. Also, the ability to team up with partners on projects simultaneously to achieve this has been almost flawless. I also enjoy the easy user interface that HubSpot provides, so if I need to learn something or teach something - it's almost always straight forward (and if it isn't the customer service has never let me down!).
What do you dislike about the product?
In my company the HubSpot reporting tools are a bit confusing for us. We want to be able to measure certain metrics that HubSpot makes it quite difficult to measure. We also use Salesforce as an integrated CRM and the numbers hardly ever match up. Making progress and reporting a pretty big headache. I dislike that each dashboard for reporting can only hold a certain number of reports - why limit this?
Sometimes in setting up workflows, it is nerve-racking due to the nature of setting something live. I wish that HubSpot somehow sent a weekly report of workflows, showing best performing and least performing ones and pointing out maybe why. When you have a bunch of workflows connected and they are all in different campaigns - it's quite the task to do reporting and I think any reporting details and suggestions, maybe ev en not just old workflows, that HubSpot can put together and remind you of would be a SUPER cool addition.

Right now we are really just trying to figure out the reporting, how to get true data and how that compares to reporting done in SalesForce. The SF to HS integration is NOT seamless and needs work.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be sure you want to make this tool your entire CRM. It has all the capabilities. Integration is hard and timely and confusing especially if you have a large data base to begin with.
If it were up to me we would have been rid of Salesforce and using HubSpot as a primary tool just for metrics and reporting sake alone.

Hubspot is great, user-friendly tool, but has it's shortcomings
What do you like best about the product?
The social feature is awesome, support team is great and plenty of help articles out there to get you up and running very easily, overall much easier to use than many of their competitors, workflows are easy to set up and forms are fantastic
What do you dislike about the product?
email builders are not as user friendly as I believe they could be, templates found in the marketplace are not easy to manipulate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
definitely cuts time spent on posting to social media by probably 75% or more, lead capture through website, trying to get nurture campaigns up and running in the next couple months. We have captured many leads since getting our website and the forms operational, and now hope to nurture those leads with workflows and nurture campaigns in hubspot. Still trying to learn best reporting methods for measuring hubspot activity
Recommendations to others considering the product:

Very satisfied with HubSpot
What do you like best about the product?
All features have very similar WYSIWYG editors that are easy to learn and teach others. There are a multitude of articles to help you figure out issues on your own, and very helpful customer service when you need a little extra assistance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would not say that I dislike the reporting because it is very robust, but there are a few additional things I wish we could see. I think that might just be due to the industry we are in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest thing HubSpot helps us with is automation. I love how we are able to "set and forget" email and social medial campaigns, and trust that they will do what they are supposed to do. Then we can see clear and concise reporting that allows us to determine the success of the campaign. Their easy-to-use landing page builder has helped us increase conversions, and our blog continues to bring thousands of new visitors to our site each moth.
Marketing Coordinator
What do you like best about the product?
I love HubSpot for their active support channels, customer success representatives, help articles, and academy pages. I was new to email and automation when I started with HubSpot. Their resources were perfect for developing our outreach program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The more we do, the more it's clear HubSpot does everything you need effectively, but none of their tools have real depth. Certain features and reports are limited at times. It's something to consider if you have complex needs or need a very powerful tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use HubSpot for all of our lead generation and nurturing. We're seeing sustained sales growth partly thanks to HubSpot's workflows, sales-marketing integrations, and CRM.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider your needs. I work at a small company with limited technology and a small marketing team. We didn't have much prior to integrating HubSpot, so we didn't need much. HubSpot is an excellent starter system. It's simple to use, and does everything we could have asked for. I was asked to lead our integration, and I didn't have much experience. HubSpot's Customer Success and Academy teams drove our early success. Large companies, companies with complex marketing and sales needs, and companies with experienced teams might not feel the same about HubSpot's effectiveness.
