That I would like to learn more about the tool in order to use it wisely, because I am not taking advantage of its full potential and it is something that bothers me.

Currently I do not have a problem with Smartsheet

What do you like best about the product?
I like how we can collaborate with team members on our sales processes. The customization of the sheets is very nice too.

Sometimes we have trouble getting access to a shared sheet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a business where our sales bag is so vast we can keep track of all of our opportunities so we make use of our hospital visits.
Easy to use, rewarding to master
What do you like best about the product?
At its basic level Smartsheet can increase your workflow and management to an efficiency that isn't achievable through other spreadsheet applications. At its advanced level we have implemented it to have automation, project tracking and intuitive data dashboards

it would be great to link cell values, eg tag a person or a value, then have that value have its own data, like in airtable

being able to have a calendar of items that also record specific data that we want to track on each item

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Smartsheet is that it offers various automation options and layout configurations that allow flexible display of project data. I also really like that you can easily create reports from your sheets. Overall, it's quite easy to use once you get familiar with the interface, though there can be a learning curve for advanced features. Setting it up was straightforward, but customizing it to fit our specific workflows took some time.Customer support has been responsive and helpful, though I haven't had to use it very often. I use Smartsheet daily for tracking project tasks, sharing updates, and reporting. I really appreciate the variety of automation options and customizable layouts that make it easy to display project data flexibly. It’s also great that you can turn sheets into detailed reports. However, it's worth noting that there’s no support for macros, and in some aspects it feels more limited than Excel. Both tools have their strengths and weaknesses. Integrating with other tools works well in general, but some integrations need manual setup or have limited options.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation is that you can't add macros, and in some ways it's more restricted than Excel. Of course, both tools have their pros and cons. Another challenge is managing user permissions to limit their ability to view or edit data in a way that protects the underlying database.

Smartsheet helps us connect the work of multiple departments in one shared platform, making cross-team collaboration much easier. It allows us to track and monitor projects in real time, ensuring everyone stays updated on progress, tasks, and deadlines. The ability to set up automated alerts and notifications helps us avoid missed steps or delays by keeping everyone informed without needing constant emails or meetings. It also makes it easier to collect and organize data from different teams, which improves transparency and coordination across the entire project lifecycle.

What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet makes it incredibly easy to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders. Its spreadsheet-like interface is familiar and intuitive, which helps with onboarding new users quickly. I especially appreciate the automation features—being able to set alerts, reminders, and approval workflows saves a lot of time. The dashboard and reporting tools also help provide real-time visibility into project progress and team performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Smartsheet is powerful, it can become expensive as your team grows and you need more advanced features. Some of the more complex automation and integration options require a steep learning curve or additional support. Also, formatting limitations in sheets and dashboards can make it difficult to fully customize the user interface to your needs.

Smartsheet helps us solve the challenge of managing multiple projects across different departments with varying timelines and resource needs. Before using it, we struggled with version control, communication gaps, and siloed updates. Now, we have a centralized platform where teams can collaborate in real time, track progress with Gantt charts and dashboards, and automate repetitive tasks. This has significantly improved our productivity, reduced manual errors, and provided leadership with clearer visibility into project health and team workloads.
Efficient, Easy to Use Tool for Project Management
What do you like best about the product?
Smartsheet is a really easy to use project management tool. The interface is easy to navigate and it has been a seamless experience transitioning from other systems. It easily makes plans and the benefits of being able to share with stakeholders and work collaboratively on a live document has been useful.
Smartsheet also offers an array of templates as starter kits, which has proven useful when integrating all project management processes onto one system.

What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not keen on the WorkSheet set up - I think it's slightly 'clunky'.
I would prefer if the dashboard has files/document view instead of recently opened documents.
Sometimes it is hard to navigate commands such as 'rename' when working in workspaces. I found it difficult to find these commands at first use.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to collaborate with external users/collaborators. This is convenient as it is efficient, saves time on having to transfer documents across email and allows for real time view and edits.
Great functionality and increased efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
A key part of my role is actively tracking and reporting on budgets. This can prove challenging and time-consuming when you have multiple projects on the go, and multiple staff managing budgets for said projects. Smartsheet was a programme that my predecessor had organised and it's something I wish I knew about in my previous roles. Budget tracking wise, I love the fact that everything is in one place, and that my staff are able to add comments, upload invoices and documents beside each budget item. From a reporting perspective, this has meant I can easily see where or how items have been quoted, why they've come under/over budget and view other key information relating to the particular expense, without the time-consuming need of the back and forths with staff (especially as we have a number of part-timers as well.
We also regularly use Smartsheet to list and keep track of key project tasks and milestones which has been a dream. Being able to interlink the various functionalities of Smartsheet again enhances productivity and increases our team efficiencies. The system is also so simple and easy to use and navigate; unlike some other project and budget management software, it doesn't require a degree to figure it out!
Pricewise, I think Smartsheet is really good value compared to similar products and software (another bonus!)

What do you dislike about the product?
At present, there is no alert system if budget items come in more expensive than originally quoted/planned. It'd be really useful if there could be a way that we could enable an alert system to notify key personnel for particular lines (such as when key milestones are coming up or get missed and items come in as more expensive than expected). At present, I need to manually go into the various sheets to check on task completion/milestones and whether items have come under/over budget.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having everything in one place and being able to go in and see all key information without the need of the back and forth with staff. Overall, this has increased our productivity and efficiency as a business, and saves me a lot of time (which is invaluable when you're an incredibly busy person and team! The ease of use and simple functionality as well mean that it's easy to train new staff to use and is easily adopted by current and new staff. Having so much in one place has also meant we have been able to reduce the number of other programs we use, further helping to streamline our software
Great project management tooll
What do you like best about the product?
I like how dynamic and user friendly it is. It is great to be able to create a Smartsheet in a simple grid view but then change it depending on the project or tasks. I like using the Card view for tasks and projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automations are limited, specifically when it comes to moving and/or copying data across different sheets. It would be ideal if the sheet just had an identifying key (column) instead of needing to have all the same types and number of columns.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Smartsheet benefits me by having flexibility in the different views. I am able to manage my projects and display an overview of where everything is at. This helps me whenever someone asks about a particular project.
