Useful tools which we need at our work.
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the way of safely access, share and cooperate with our partners from our loved device. In the cloud, our content is supplied quicker and automatically. I can authorize, audit and manage so all our needs will be in control.
What do you dislike about the product?
All my teammates don't have any problem with this platform. This is software more gives help but not makes a harm to our process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have always distributed our group cooperates better and our managers can simple and safely watch project application from their devices. With this platform, wi can be sure that all our folders are protected.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will have the ability to work with great sharing system. To work and to install that program is simple. Actually, it is ve biggest helper for your team. I recommend to you this software.
Helpful When It's Working
What do you like best about the product?
I love being able to control how many clicks a link can have, and Egnyte makes it very simple to send large files over to my client for review. The links are short, which looks good in my emails.
What do you dislike about the product?
Oftentimes, my files will take a very long time to upload, or the site will crash while something is uploading. I dislike that the maximum life of a link is 2 weeks. I think this should be at least a month.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files in a simple way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is a great way to share large files with clients or colleagues. It doesn't clog up your email, and you can be assured your email will be delivered when you're sending a link instead of a large attachment. You can set up notifications to see when people have clicked your link.
Excellent product that has drastically improved our efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
This product makes our lives so much easier. For a company that has offices in multiple cities, this system has drastically improved the efficiency of the entire company.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are issues with the read only access when users are in different locations causes a lot of invalid copy of the file errors. There re are some instances where we might lose work if we don't pay attention to the file consistency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to work across multiple divisions/entities in different locations without having to connect via RDS. Large savings in the server storage and backup realm.
Egnyte interface and features simple and fast
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has a simple user interface for creating folder structures, groups, and giving access to others on your team. The ability to password protect the URL directories shared out makes it better than a handful of other sharing platforms I have used. Versioning of assets saved in folders is seamless as long as files are named the same when uploading a new version again.
What do you dislike about the product?
The user interface to upload files sometimes seems to skip a beat and having to try and re-upload a large file again after waiting a while can be frustrating. The desktop client that allows a folder to keep in sync from many in a group can lead to a cascading set of mass slowdowns if many people are uploading large files to directories that are shared with a group. There is no way to "queue" these to wait for a better connection other than to shut down the client. It takes a bit of educating users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large file sharing within an organization and to clients for a more secure method than an unprotected "Shortened URL" type link and having directories that larger groups need to access and upload/download to. Using Active Directory credentials instead of a one-off password to remember.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is the best of 4 different file sharing capabilities I have used at the enterprise level. It is simple, clean, fast, and allows for collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the security. Using Google Drive in the past, while UI is easy enough, it was not secure. When dealing with external stakeholders, we have to have a secure site we believe in.
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, while I am relative new to using Egnyte (2 months), so I am not sure I would say that there is something glaring that I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security is the biggest problem that Egnyte is solving. We legally must have a secure place to store external stakeholder files while we work on them, and Egnyte solves that problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend this to any company that needs to share lots of large files in a very secure manner.

What do you like best about the product?
Egypt’s allows for collaboration whether I’m on the road or in the Office, which is helpful.

I wish it was more mobile phone friendly for editing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem of having folks in different physical locations.
Very Useful for Sharing Large Files
What do you like best about the product?
I like using Egnyte to store large files, such as high resolution photographs and video clips, then I can quickly create a link to share with news media contacts. Recipients can view the content without signing in and I don’t clog up anyone’s inbox with huge attachments.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like that all links default to expiring in just one month but I can easily change it to three months.

I no longer have to worry about clogging up

A typical filesharing platform
What do you like best about the product?
Nothing stands out too much. I would say it is a typical filesharing platform. On par with the other guys.
What do you dislike about the product?
The delay for files to refresh between our shared drive and Egnyte drive often takes a long time to sync. Sometimes more than 10 minutes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have offices in multiple states and this makes filesharing fairly simple.

What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to invite users to view files or create secure folders for clients to upload payroll to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support when random things happen such as notifications not showing was a little hard to reach.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often clients try to use iCloud to share files and iCloud tends to be spotty with working. With egnyte all our files are easy to upload and refer to.

Make sure to double check who can access a folder in order to ensure security.
