What I like best about Egnyte is the combination of secure file management, version control, and collaboration capabilities in a single platform. In my work as a Mechanical Design Engineer, I regularly deal with technical documents, drawings, specifications, reports, and project-related files that need to be shared across teams while maintaining proper access controls.

The folder permission management and audit capabilities are particularly valuable because they help ensure sensitive project information is only accessible to the right people. I also appreciate the version history functionality, which makes it easier to track document changes and recover previous versions when needed. Integration with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace helps streamline collaboration without disrupting existing workflows.

Performance has been reliable even when handling large engineering files, and file sharing through secure links is much more efficient than managing email attachments. The onboarding experience was straightforward, and the platform's AI-powered content intelligence provides additional value by helping locate information more quickly. Before using Egnyte, project files were often distributed across multiple locations, making it difficult to maintain version control, manage permissions, and collaborate efficiently. Sharing large files through email was also inefficient and created challenges when tracking the latest document versions.

Egnyte centralizes document storage, access control, collaboration, and file sharing in one secure platform. Teams can access the latest project documents from any location, collaborate on files, and maintain a complete audit trail of changes and activity.

As a result, document management is more organized, file-sharing processes are faster, version conflicts are reduced, and project teams can collaborate more effectively. The platform also improves security, accountability, and productivity while reducing the administrative effort required to manage engineering documentation and project information.

The best thing about Egnyte is that it is helpful to share large files that we can't send through email. It's a great one-stop shop to save, share, and store files.

The pricing of Egnyte is a bit higher than expected.

Egnyte is really a good tool for everyone in our company. We use it company-wide at Faith Technologies, Inc., and it's very helpful to share large files that we can't send through email. It's a great one-stop shop to save, share, and store files. The link sharing and file saving features are what I value the most since they make it easy to share files that are too big to send through an email. The setup was very easy, straight to the point, and has been great so far.

I use Egnyte to share large files like CAD files and plans, controlling access and duration of links. It also stores important information like NDAs and policies, solving file sharing issues and enhancing collaboration with stakeholders.

The best I love about this platform is the security of files it provides within the platform and the ability to collaborate with other team with ease. The AI in this platform is really powerful and the deep research feature of this platform greatly enhances its productivity. Other than this AI agents can be trained easily by providing the knowledge base for its source. The agents assist in improving productivity of the Individuals and teams. Other than this I also love the capability of this platform to manage the access and downloads of contents. The workflow management of this platform is outstanding and it ensures scheduled completion of projects or workflow. The accountability and audit trail ensures that every individuals in the teams takes best care in handling as well as completion of this platform. Other than this task assignment can also be made such that the right person in the team handles the job well. Frankly the security as well as the performance of this platform is reliable. The capability to integrate this platform with major platform like google workspace, Power Automate etc boost the robustness of this platform. The onboarding of this platform was also simple which is really attractive for users.

I love most part of this platform but I wish that the pricing of this platform was a little more moderate. I also felt that a little bit of training would greatly improve the efficiency of using this platform. The AI can also be met better with increased brainstorming capacity and general assistance capabilities.

This platform assist a lot in working collaboratively on files improving the efficiency and productivity of the team. Other than this platform also provides security and accountability of the contents stored in this platform. More better agents can be created and agents to do specific task can also be created. Which makes task easier and the platform more powerful.

Egnyte removes the frustration of slow VPNs and fragmented storage by bringing files together in one secure hub. The result is a professional, always-on workflow that safeguards data while keeping collaboration smooth and seamless.

I would like to have a on-prem or hybrid model.

It allows us to have a centralized location to store all files, letting us control who can access what files.

I work as a Dietician and Nutritionist, manage a homeopathy clinic, and also create health education content, so my daily work includes diet charts, patient files, lab reports, PDFs and sometimes health education videos also. What I like best about Egnyte is that I can keep everything in one place and organize it in proper folders, so my work stays clear and easy to manage and I don’t get confused.

ease of use is very simple, no technical setup Needed. I started using it directly for my clinic work. I use it regularly to check patient records, update diet charts and manage content files. The inbuilt Pdf editor is very useful for my work. Many times I need to edit diet charts or update patient reports, and I can do it directly here without downloading again, which saves time. file sharing is also easy. I can quickly send diet plans, reports or even videos to patients or staff using a link, which makes communication simple. Search option also helps when there are many files. If I make changes in a file, I can still go back to older version which is useful sometimes.

Performance is good, files open fast and it does not feel slow even with multiple folders. Number of features is enough for daily work like folder management, sharing, Pdf editing and version control, not too complicated. It also works well with Google Docs and MS Office files, so integration feels smooth. overall it feels stable and reliable. It helps me manage my clinic data and health content in a simple and organized way.

What do you dislike about the product?

when I upload multiple files or bigger folders, it sometimes takes a little more time depending on internet, so I have to wait till everything is uploaded properly. While using the Pdf editor, basic edits work fine, but for more detailed editing I still feel more comfortable using a dedicated PDF tool. another small thing is that when there are many folders, the interface can feel a bit busy and I need to click a few times to find the exact file.

Egnyte helps me solve the problem of files being scattered in different places. Earlier, I had to check multiple folders or tools to find one file, which was time taking. Now everything stays in one place and is arranged in folders, so it is easy to find and manage.

It also makes file sharing simple. I can just create a link and send files instead of sending them again and again. This saves time and makes communication easier. Updating files is also quick, especially PDFs, because I can make small changes directly without downloading and uploading again.

Search works well when there are many files, and version history helps if I make any mistake and need the older file back. Overall, it saves time, reduces confusion, and makes daily work more smooth and manageable.

I understand that you can’t keep things secure without a robust login system, but when I’m traveling outside of the United States, the security measures make it harder to log in.

A secure place that coworkers to store documents, a central location that allows us to get away from a external drive that is difficult to log in to
