Good but not so good clod platform
What do you like best about the product?
Reports section and protect section where all the data is displayed very good
What do you dislike about the product?
Permissions and mapping of permission is not as good as other cloud providers and groups are also not that good
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the links and day-to-day updates of folders if you are an admin.
Makes switching work site super easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it appears on my computer as regular drives making saving and moving documents easy. Also with my home computer figured the same way telecommuting means no longer have to email docs to myself or carry flash drives. I can also log in from my phone for those questions that come up during lunch or away from office times. It has made things really easy. Also, I don't have to worry about the size or instability of the drives and recovery of documents is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there are certain functions, like sharing a document or a folder, that can only be done by logging in to Egnyte online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Benefits--increased productivity, increases the accessibility of documents to all staff, We got Egnyte about 6 months before the pandemic so it was a smooth transition to work from home.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are considering a cloud based solution, this is one that is extremely easy for the user to adopt.

Egnyte is reliant to help our team collaborate even when our team members work away from the office.

There isn't much to dislike about the product.

Egnyte has served as a sharedrive to help our employees continue to work together on products throughout COVID.

I love that I can open files to edit on my desktop and share the changes with my team.

There isn't anything I particularly dislike. I think it's a great tool

We used to have multiple versions of files saved in various places. Now we know exactly where to find the most up-to-date version of any file.

Ensure that all members of your organization use the tool and understand the benefits of having a centralized location for all files.
Love using Egnyte to share files & docs w/ clients in a secure, seamless, & collaborative platform.
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is great to collaborate and exchange files between my clients and me. It's great for B2B collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding external users should be a little easier. Often, clients are unable to retrieve their emails with passcodes or previously shared links. There could be a more inventive way to authenticate external business users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can always depend on finding older files to revise work discussed with an external client. There are large files that are tough to share over email & shouldn't be shared over email because of file size, data privacy, etc.
Just the right feature set
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is a great cloud file management system. It has all the features you want, but none of the fluff features you won't use. It also has great integration with the computer desktop and on mobile apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Office 365 integration needs some improvements, it's a little slow when trying to do co-editing on documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a hybrid work environment with the majority of employees working remotely but still have physical offices. VPN is too cumbersome for employees, and Egnyte solved that with its desktop sync app.
Effective Cloud collaboration Software
What do you like best about the product?
The Performance of the Application, even in low latency, is speedy and possesses valuable features for ransomware protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
The solution is slightly expensive, and the price not only depends on users but also on the storage used. All together makes this solution expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Egnyle as a centralized solution for managing all the documents related to projects and head office.

Alternative file server to shared drives and SharePoint
What do you like best about the product?
It seamlessly integrates within File Explorer as its own drive, making access simple and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were collaborative options on it like SharePoint, where multiple authors can work on a file at the same time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is the main file storage used in our company. Access is limited to files needed by the user, so it is very secure.

In addition to how easy it is to save files and move them around, I like that my clients can save items for me to review

I like everything about it. There's nothing to dislike

no problems, work flow is much smoother

What do you like best about the product?
It is in a format similar to File Explorer so is very intuitive. It is also easy to share resources internally and externally and to be able to quickly and easily configure that access to suit.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the search function could be improved as finding things can be difficult with no granularity allowed in the search criteria.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With mobile and agile working having a cloud-based file share means that wherever you are on whatever device, you can access and share resources.

If you want fast, easy access to resource sharing, then Egnyte should be considered.
