File storage in the same environment to strengthen remote collaboration.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Egnyte is a cloud-based program, it greatly simplifies the work for organizations that have workers scattered in different offices and branches, as is our case and allows a much more efficient collaboration, providing a highly secure environment for sharing files and documents, with a high storage capacity, possibility to adjust permissions and access limitations to users and a synchronization of folders with our computers and mobiles.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only observation is the user interface; in my opinion,, it should be modernized; otherwise, I am satisfied with its performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has been helpful to the organization by not letting distance represent a limitation for teamwork and collaboration between colleagues working from different spaces. Through Egnyte we have been able to easily store, share and find files and documents as the need has arisen, it has ultimately solved problems and travel expenses by facilitating collaboration among our remote workgroup.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Simply perfect for coordinating tasks, storing files of any size and sharing them among colleagues for reviews, or working on them from anywhere easily.

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to use and simple to understand. You don't have to be a technology expert to learn how the program works. A lot of point and click makes it easy for end users to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike. Sometimes passwords can be a pain but they are necessary at times. Some recipients are unable to receive shared files because of their own security or have their own file sharing software that files will need to be uploaded to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simple sharing of legal files with attorney's and adjusters. I don't have to send out a lot of jump drives to share files or numerous emails to adjusters will files attached. It also helps me keep track of the files I have sent on a particular case.

Look no further, it is easy to learn and share. I love it!
Awesome and Easy. Adaptable
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is easy to use. It's simple and has the feel and look of the documents on your computer. This makes it easy to learn and adapt for newcomers at our company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although it is easy to user and super simple, i wish it was a little more modernized and sleek. This is just a personal preference. Probably not realistic
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Within our company we have around 20 people who use egnyte on a regular basis so things can get hectic for sharing. With egnyte our problems are solved. All we have to do is upload our files to egnyte and we can rest at night knowing that everyone has access to them.
Easy to use, simple design and fast!
What do you like best about the product?
As a person that works remotely from home and occasionally visits the project sites. I am able to upload/download large files from AutoCAD and PDF's of drawings with little or no delay or system bogging down. The simplicity in the design helps with accessibility and shortens the learning curve navigating the program for all levels of computer experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it is web based I am constantly being logged out from my browser (Microsoft edge) even though I click the box to keep me logged in when shutting down my computer for the evening. In addition, there are some issues when tweaking privilege's between projects/folders. It seems to only allow total controls for an organization so you can't have different privilege's for different folders/projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote access, download/upload speeds for large files and communications through a portal that keeps me in touch with my team. Communication with field and sharing files that are not normally able to share through email due to limitations. This by far has been one of my better experiences with a cloud based software.

What do you like best about the product?
My favourite feature of Egnyte is its versatility and ease of use. I also like how simple it is to share files within a team or customers by simply sending them a link to a file or folder. Another feature is its real-time data synchronization while logging in from multiple devices. Sharing files and folders is instantaneous, with Egnyte makes it available with all the shared users in no time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Though it is quick and easy to use, managing more significant volumes of files and folders could be challenging in instant accessibility and storage management.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has become excellent resource management and sharing solution online that helps our team access it online from anywhere and can even share any business files and documents with our customers online most securely and conveniently.
Great cloud-based storage solution
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is easy to understand, learn, and use, and it's easily scalable. And, it has great connectivity with MS365 apps and Teams! A huge plus for our organization. I think this is a great solution for many businesses, regardless of size. Administration is easier than many products or having to maintain physical servers. For a company that can't afford to have teams of administrators, developers, and programmers to manage their data, this is the perfect solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the cost isn't terrible, it could always be less expensive. In addition, some of the administrative features are difficult to use, don't allow enough granular policies and it can be a little confusing at times for some users to share externally using the links and the processes in Egnyte. The admin of folders and inheritance of permissions and lack of being able to break inheritance in some cases makes it difficult at times. I think this is a great solution for many businesses, regardless of size. Administration is easier than many products or having to maintain physical servers. For a company that can't afford to have teams of administrators, developers, and programmers to manage their data, this is the perfect solution.

Egnyte solves the issue of having to maintain physical servers and jump through hoops to protect data. It's all taken care of for us.

Great System, Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is very easy to use, both uploading your documents and retrieving the documents that were uploaded. It is also very easy to explain how to use it. It's easy to make folders for those that use Egnyte and to move the documents that they receive to their folders until they are ready to view them or they can keep them there as long as they need. I created many folders based on the type of document I received so it's easy to sort through them and I also created a done folder for when I'm done with a document I can just move it to that folder for verification later. If you accidentally delete a document before you are done with it, you can retrieve it from the trash by pressing restore and it will go back to the folder where it was before you deleted it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like almost everything about Egnyte, I can log in easily to my area, it's user friendly and everyone that has used it seems to like it. I also like that if you delete a document that you end up needing later you can go to your trash and restore that document. The only thing I can think of that needs improvement for me is when someone uploads the same document for themselves and names it the exact same name, I wish it would automatically combined them into one folder and name them (1), (2), etc. instead of asking if you want to merge them. When you press merge one of the documents does go away and I haven't figured out how to get those ones back.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During the Covid shutdown while we could not be on campus and quarantined at home we could not have face to face contact with our students and staff to collect their employment paperwork or tax documents for our international students. Even though we are partial opened back up we still choose to use Egnyte to make everyone more comfortable and not have to worry about being face to face with more people than they need to be so there is less exposure to Covid. Egnyte does a great job in providing everyone with a safe and secure place for them to upload their personal documents and have that piece of mind that we received their documents and they don't have to worry that no one else can access them or see what they provided for documents.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for a simple program to accept secure documents from your clients, staff or students this one would be my first choice since it's easy to use for both the person uploading the documents as well as the person receiving the documents.

Ability to sharing files across a global company. ability to open files on my desktop without having to login to the app.

it seems to log out fairly quickly, but I think I can change that setting.
