Fast, Easy and Reliable File Sharing
What do you like best about the product?
I can easily upload files or invite others to upload files and share with those who need to access, all while our information is secure. It's also very easy to use and navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes large files take longer than desired to upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to share multiple or larger files with people outside of our company.
Works better than would expect!
What do you like best about the product?
Access to data anywhere and using any device. Also data protection and compliance, especially provided by Egnyte Protect.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had few problems with desktop app which wasn't working that great in case of few people, however, looks like it works good now. Also new Mac OS update came pretty late.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote work became so easy now. Also, when traveling you can always access all data you normally had on the server or laptop. Now it's all in my smartphone and it's secured.

I can keep all my files centrally and easily access them anytime.
Egnyte makes file storage EASY
What do you like best about the product?
Super easy to create folders and file pathways to store and share files. File sharing is particularly easy, especially for materials too large to send over email. I love it's universal nature in that I can send to a user not on Egnyte and it's easy for them to still download.
What do you dislike about the product?
Moving files around is harder that it needs to be. I wish there was the ability to drag and drop instead of having to go into move, wait for all the folders to uncollapse, etc. A drag and drop feature would be a game changer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to store files that anyone on the team/company can access with the right file path. Also sharing files with members outside the organization is seamless and efficient.

What do you like best about the product?
File access from anywhere is great. User functions are mostly intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sales process was pretty much classic "bait and switch". There were a lot of promises made about set up assistance that turned out to require paying LOTS of extra money. Even the simplest things like AD integration are NOT simple and Egnyte WILL NOT help with them unless you pay more money.
Several features are not nearly granular enough for true security. For example, I should be able to have a "view only" access privilege, but the lowest setting is "View and Download", which means anyone who can see a file can also "take" it.
I like the basic functionality and Egnyte generally has a much more admin/user friendly GUI than competing products (here's looking at you, Sharepoint/OneDrive!) but the implementation and basic "Pay up or shut up" implementation process left a bad taste in my mouth, such that I will not recommend Egnyte and will move toward switching as soon as there is a comparable competitor.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get it in writing! Don't take their promises of support at face value. Once you sign the papers, you are ON YOUR OWN unless you pay them for extra help... and "extra" means ANY.
Excellent file sharing and collaboration platform
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is a robust platform for syncing and protecting data. I have been using it every day and I am very impressed it with its performance. Its availability as a desktop software is very useful, it removes the need to download a file or edit it online. It is also helpful to see previous edits and which person has worked on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Only one user can open a file and work on it. Other than that, it is a flawless platform.

Egnyte as a daily storage tool
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is user friendly. We use Egnyte to store all the data for our marketing programs and for the team to upload daily reports and reports that go to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
Egnyte has a tendency to increase pricing without added value. They also try to hard sell customers when they have a management change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The database we use are large in size and we are able to upload them to Egnyte and share a link with the team. Any file that wont go through typical email channels can be uploaded to Egnyte and links can be sent out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for web storage.

The preview is sometimes too blur and may mislead when you review.
For example, there was a question on the ASME Code and the preview of the screen showed the table as a minus sign while when you download and read the exact pdf file it would show as a plus sign.
Probably the resolution of the screen was not as good enough for someone to read. It may be better if the resolution of the preview screen is a better quality.

We are collaborating with a team of 150 people and it works fine with us. We are syncing folders and files with each other and it syncs well.
