Egnyte Your File Sync & Share Capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
The Egnyte platform provides an easy way to set up a cloud based file server for an organization where their employees are dispersed across a geography. It enables organizations to securely store their data in a central location, in the cloud, or physical location in a data center, or both. It also provides organizations with the ability to manage the data to ensure that it conforms to the standards and governance policies and procedures that they must adhere to.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike about the product. Before Egnyte Protect was introduced you had to ensure that you had a means of backing up the data stored in Egnyte. Now that you can set retention policies, the solution ensures that the data is available and backed up if your turn on Egnyte Protect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem that Egnyte solves is providing an organization with a central file server in the cloud at a reasonable cost. This is great for organizations that do not want to install, maintain, and manage a file server in their data center. Eliminates the hardware, software, and management costs associated with a physical onsite server, and provides the organization with the benefits of a secure file server where file access and sharing can be managed easlity.

I have not run into any issues using this software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps our team file share easily and it can be password protected for extra security.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte has a very friendly collaboration environment, as its interface is incredibly easy to use. Folder directories are easy to access. I like that we can share files through links.

There's not much I don't like, although Egnyte's Android mobile app sometimes takes time to sync files I delete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Egnyte we can share files both internally and externally in the organization in a fast and secure way. We previously shared files over the organization's network which was regularly slow, and sometimes there were errors such as file duplication.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a very complete platform that encourages collaboration in my work. It is an inexpensive and easy to use tool. I recommend Egnyte.

There are certain files that are unable to be stored on Egnyte. However, those files are very very limited.

One problem we have solved is having to replenish hardware that has become obsolete.

We are using Egnyte to deliver one-off files to our customers, which is much easier to set up than a traditional FTP.

Ease of use, everything is where you'd expect it to be. It's great for receiving files from others & understanding when your shared files are accessed.
What do you dislike about the product?
No outlook plugin for Mac to send links to collect files from others.

Share large files with others inside & outside the organisation. Easily track when users upload or download files.
Engnyte is very helpful and useful.

I like that there are so many folders and crumb trails for specific information.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is difficult to find certain things in folders and if it is not downloaded on your computer it is very difficult to upload things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have realized that I can get a lot done in one place. I am solving the problems that were created when documents were not in the same place and I would have to scramble and find things in many locations.

Overall service is excellent, but there have been a few issues with phone Egnyte support.

I have never had a problem with Egnyte and I am completely happy with the features it has brought to my company.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has solved my company's file sharing problems, as email was not a reliable option for file sharing and we were unable to send large files either. Thanks to this software we can work in a faster and more efficient way to share files.
