Egnyte has changed our workflow entirely

Security okay, document editing a nightmare
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte's user interface is very straightforward; you can login from anywhere and access a very clear file directory.
What do you dislike about the product?
It drives me mad that unlike Google Drive or a virtual private network, Egnyte requires you to download documents, make your edits, and then upload them again. Woe to you should you forget to do that final upload. I much prefer platforms where I can edit and save my changes without having the extra step of uploading it back into Egnyte.

Our institution uses Egnyte as a way of accessing shared drives on our servers remotely.

Excellent Platform for Collaborative Needs!
What do you like best about the product?
I'm a business broker. Egnyte is an excellent cloud platform for all the brokers in our company to access other brokers' files for information or to access administrative files. Some of us work in the main office, others work remotely. Egnyte makes working remotely very efficient. I also like the ability to share specific file folders with clients or customers. I set up Due Diligence files for buyers so they can access information and I know at a glance exactly what information they have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally I have a problem sharing a file so a client can upload documents to it. It's probably something that I'm doing wrong, but I don't know what. When it happens I haven't found a way to send the client a new link. Most of the time it works fine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves the problem of receiving confidential financial information from clients. They can upload files directly to a folder that I set up in Egnyte. What benefits? it's a great time-saver! If the files are uploaded to Egnyte I don't have to download and save them from emails!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Egnyte as a secure cloud platform for organizing and sharing files within a company and for sharing and/or uploading files from outside the company. It can be customized as needed for files which are not shared within the company and outside access is totally up to individual users for their own files/folders.
Lost important work with Egnyte Connect
What do you like best about the product?
I like to have cloud-based backup of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
I lost a week's worth of work by not realizing that Egnyte Connect does not save a Word document until you EXIT THE DOCUMENT. During a two-week period, I was aving my work through the Word "save" function, but there was no cue that the document was not actually saved. My 100+ pages were lost when the computer crashed. I rebooted, and the saved versions of the document were gone. This is a super-serious flaw for a cloud-based mapped drive. SAVING SHOULD NOT BE DIFFICULT.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I lost a serious amount of work with Egnyte Connect. Egnyte Sync works better, but I have experienced difficulty in saving work with Egnyte Sync as well. This makes Egnyte very seriously flawed and I have migrated all of my work to Onedrive to ensure that I never lose work again. I appreciate the cloud sharing that Egnyte provides.

It is easy to organize files for team access. The files are secure.

Collaboration possibilities among colleagues.

Our IT hasn’t made it SSO Login, so it is a bit complicated to login, but generally I like most of it.

As I am not an admin, I have some hurdles tomclimńb Tom,ale changes.

The whole new Cloud file share you can rely onto
What do you like best about the product?
Data redundancy, Up-time of the product, synchronization, ease of authentication via application or sms, Accessibility almost from every network. Best thing about this product is it's data encryption and simplee user access management which can be synced easily with Active Directory
What do you dislike about the product?
user interface could be improved a bit with some extra features will be awesome. Also few more options of integration and cleanup operations could be a little smooth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud storage for all the files. This is acting as a cloud share for our entire environment. Hosting all day to day files as they are being synced up with Egnyte each and every hour.
