Great Server, Apps Integration
What do you like best about the product?
Works great for online access anywhere. Many apps that integrate with Egnyte.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional 'synchronizing' issues from our local server to the cloud (minutes in delays). Not instantaneous, if you're using a local server to synchronize (makes sense, right? - you need time for Egnyte to catch up to your local server). Otherwise great!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud based backup of our local server, as well as Microsoft Office integration.

What do you like best about the product?
To share big documents and archive them, and the possibility to find them in the future
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the uploading process crashes or is locked and I have to recharge again the files. But maybe can happens also because my internet connection
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sometimes I've lost some file on my computer and luckily I've found them archived on Egnyte.
Another big feature is that I can just refresh the link of documents already archived on Egnyte, instead of charge them again

Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is the cloud version and being able to access all my files anywhere anytime
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the list of users includes everyone who has ever had access to our files. I would like to archive past users so we don't see them in the active list.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to solve the problem of employees sending large files or files with sensitive data in them through email.
Great Cloud Service (esp for nonprofits)
What do you like best about the product?
The Microsoft word and excel online through egnyte make it possible to work remotely from anywhere, without needed microsoft office. As someone without the desktop version, this has made it possible for me to work from home in this pandemic. It's easy to send documents to my colleagues as well. I appreciate the ease of use and the fact that onboarding our company took 1 day. It was an easy process to switch our files into Egnyte and has completely transformed the way we can work together.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if multiple people could edit a document at once in Egnyte, like you can in Google docs. This feature addition would be really helpful. Additionally, if a colleague saves a document with the same name, it automatically updates and doesn't save the previous version--this is not helpful when making edits on grants in my specific job. I also don't love the interface of Word online--at times, documents I create in desktop word are shifted and formatted incorrectly in the Word online version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte has allowed my nonprofit the capability to work from home. Before Egnyte, all of our files were saved on our desktop computers. Now we can work together from anywhere. Since we're all remote on laptop computers, we are able to keep our files securely in one place, with no need to send around paper copies of documents like we had in the past.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Egnyte is an awesome product. Especially for nonprofits looking for a solution for cloud sharing documents, this is perfect. It was very easy to launch, with simple directions that could be shared with the whole team and a seamless process for launching. It has completely transformed the way we can work together, and has made remote work possible for us. I would absolutely choose Egnyte again if given the chance.
a great secure alternative to share files
What do you like best about the product?
I've had a very positive experience, it's quick and easy and doesn't require any extra steps you can add a password if needed, but not required. most clients, team are successful in accessing the files shared. This is definitely my preferred method of sending confidential documents. We enjoy the enterprise level features available to administrators, and the levels of security for all different users. I also think the website is well organized and easy to use. It was very easy for us to implement and train our employees on the proper use of the website and software.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only shortcoming is that I can't see the email/name of the person that download the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Very affordable, great choice for small business. Extra storage.
Clean, crisp cloud storage with a great user interface and flawless integration with Office 365
What do you like best about the product?
We are currently rolling it out to 300 employees and migrating data from Dropbox, Intralinks VIA Pro and Box. Best aspect is the ease at which users are created and permissions handled

A little more clarity on the setup and migration using the storage sync server would have been nice, we had to get our MSP to set this up but we got there

We are centralising File Storage and improving security, user experience and work processes
Organised data repository
What do you like best about the product?
Data stored on Egnyte is easily retrievable and the server never goes down. I have never faced an issue with accessing the Egnyte platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documents stored on Egnyte do not carry a version history and documents cannot be updated online by several users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Egnyte is used for my everyday work where I need to access past proposals for reference and my writing work. The benefit is it is a one-stop solution for all my document storage and archival needs.
Very Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
I like that my home computer can function just like my work computer with the Egnyte connect. It doesn't take up hard drive space on my computer, yet, i have access to all the large files that I work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it would be integrated into the programs or if someone needs a link to a large file, I would access it on my desktop. For example, if you could right click on a file in Egnyte connect and it said get a link to this file, that would be so convenient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to seamlessly work from home. I am a designer, so I work with large Adobe InDesign files with linked imaged. If I didn't have egnyte, all the links would be broken and I would have to manually download everything to my computer and then re-upload.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sit down and familiarize yourself with everything it has to offer.
I use egnyte on an everyday basis, would not recommend.

Able to organize and search is not helpful.

The mapped driver version is very slow and not useful at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to share, organize and search large data files is pathetic.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can have Egynte folders synced in my documents in my file explorer on my computer, as opposed to individually upload files from a web browser.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think there's more that can be done around sharing files that are stored in egnyte.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work with many confidential parts from customers, and storing and exchanging files through Egnyte allows customers to be confident that their proprietary files are safe.
