What do you like best about the product?
Everything just works like you would expect it to... Egnyte is very intuitive for and very easy to onboard new users, without reference or training. We have several 3rd parties that work with us use our infrastructure and we have had no issues with adoption. In many cases our infrastructure was preferred over other alternatives because of its ease and speed uploading the volumes of large size construction documents and models.
What do you dislike about the product?
Updates to the local sync tools for mac needs polishing.... while the local sync app has been recently been upgraded which solves the occasional sync conflicts which occurred when more than one user was working on the same file. The documentation and differentiation on between the old and new tool is confusing. The new app has a very strange implementation for Mac iOS. This is not much of a problem when deploying to windows by IT admins, but for users on their personal computers this has proved to be an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Local store sync'd with the cloud allows local users to access and control their files without the worries of connectivity risks all while having the comfort knowing everything is secure and availble to access from everywhere on the cloud. The ease to upload massive folder structures with simple drag and dropping is extremely useful and users love it. Sending and receiving links is also useful to share continuous y updated folders. On varşous sites we deploy local store while syncing the files to the cloud and also to HQ servers so there is realtime access to all the data on sites without the email traffic.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Review the benefits of having a hybrid system which can be deployed on the cloud and pushed locally with minimal hardware. Local storage cost significantly drops with inherent redundancy, and cloud backup. There are still risks with remote locations having connectivity issues, and the fact your teams can work locally while sharing and backing up globally is a big assurance to management.
Great way to have access to your files anywhere
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Egnyte is you can use it exactly like you do any drive you have on your computer. As long as you have an internet connection, you can save , open files, copy, pull up anything you need, just like you are at your office.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside, is if you lose connection, it will sometimes not let you save your work. If you notice, just save it to your desktop, and then upload it once your connection is reestablished.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tackling Covid-19 requires you to work from all different places. I'm on my computer 10 to 15 hours a day. I am able to get to the same files remotely, that I use in the office, and share them with clients via text, email, or link. We can password protect one folder and share it with exactly who we want to see it, without letting them see the other folders in the same location. It's so much faster than any service we have ever used.

Much easier to use than google drive, one drive, box, dropbox, etc.

I share files to clients and I love the look they percibe, as the site is from my company.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes file transfer is a little slow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Egnyte to send large files to clients. The best thing is links never expire, and my clients have the experience of being in my corporate site.

What do you like best about the product?
Access to files over any device with an internet or cellular connection. Access speed to documents is fast. Total file storage is excellent. Opening files directly from Excel, Word, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Takes too long to download some files. Only a file database. Wish there was a CRM component. When you open a file, it does not automatically open in Excel, Word, etc. Do not like having to click open on my desktop each time.

No longer have to pay high prices for computer servers and IT companies to service servers and computers.

Works really well, good amount of customization
What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use, good to have mobile app. Like the layout.
What do you dislike about the product?
No encryption from what I am aware of? We are a health company so we can't put any patient data on it without it being PIPA approved.

having different access for different levels of the company, training, consolidation of data

What do you like best about the product?
Easy and convenient to share even very large files & folders.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be improved. Also, adding features to allow only viewing or edit for specific people (similar to Google Drive), and ability to track if a recipient as opened the file you shared (similar to WeTransfer).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
was always looking for a simple way to both keep large files in a safe place on the internet, and at the same time being able to share large files in an instant, and the files will always be available on the link that was shared.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to access fileserver anywhere, it also acts as an additional backup for our in house fileserver. Because of Egynte, our office staff are no longer tied down to the office or dependent on VPN. Uptime has been excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tech support quality can be sporadic. It has been difficult in the past to arrange an exact time to expect call backs from tech support. There has been issues using Egynte storage sync with macs as well
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the COVID-19 crisis, we were suddenly unable to get to the office. Thankfully by having Egynte, we were able to start working from home without skipping a beat.
An Easier Way for File Management
What do you like best about the product?
We are a small company with many location and people working from home. Egnyte allows easy file access and management capabilities to ensure we are ALL working with the most recent files.
What do you dislike about the product?
We love everything about Egnyte. No comments.

File Management and Archiving. Many benefits including increased accuracy and historical perspectives.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to quickly share large data files, like cad, revit, navisworks, and pointclouds.
What do you dislike about the product?
It really has no drawbacks for what we are doing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are aiming for a common data environment - where everyone uses the same information. Egnyte utilizes a cloud based data storage, where we have a single source of information that everyone pulls from. In years past we used to save files in silo's and double, or triple server sizes because everyone had thier own locations. We now utilize Egntye to have one place to store information and when it is retrieved we have the correct information, the first time.
