Makes remote collaboration possible
What do you like best about the product?
Working off of a the same virtual drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not sure if it upload speed is fast enough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improvement in productivity and collaboration remotely, whereas before I was significantly ham-stringed.
Great File Sharing Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Egnyte is it's ease of use. Everyone who has used it has said how much they like the fact that they can upload files easily and quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't see any downsides with the Egnyte platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By using Egnyte, it has allowed our company and the people outside our organization that we share files with to work quicker and more efficiently. It has proven to be a great time saver in that it helps people to view files that much faster.
Powerful but user friendly with great support
What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is intuitive and easy to use. It is easy within the structure to both know exactly where you are in the file structure and to navigate quickly to other files.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish others, outside of our firms' users, with whom I have shared a file could see the comments on the file. I wish you could search within the comments field.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our data is secure. It is easy to search the files to find what you are looking for. Everyone in the office can access files regardless of their physical location.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You will be thankful you switched. I am the administrator but have NO experience as an IT administrator. It is easy to use, intuitive yet secure and powerful.
Great Hybrid File-sharing technology
What do you like best about the product?
They have the ability to provide on-premise storage that is replicated to the cloud of off-site sharing and collaboration. They also have a ton of integration options with third-party products, such a Docusign, Teams, Trello, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the policies and management settings can't be applied to a group level. There are other settings that need to be refined.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our former infrastructure would not allow us to share files outside of the network. We needed a cloud solution that provided LAN performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask about "Connected Folders" for personal files, especially if you re-direct the Desktop to the network. Also, make sure to purchase any training packages - they're invaluable and the team is extremely helpful.

Security issues; clients' appreciate the added security of Egnyte over sending information via email.

Easy to use & organize & share files among all levels of users

Orienting new users remotely can be a challenge

Easy to share large, complex files. Eliminated multiple emails with attachments or sending flash drives
Excellent cloud networking for a small office
What do you like best about the product?
Enterprise level administration and permissions in a cloud environment without the need for an in office server or technical expertise
What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator at a small nonprofit, I don't like that user licenses have to be purchased 5 user blocks. We just don't grow that fast, so we're paying for users we don't need.
Users complain about not being able to share links to Egnyte files through Egnyte Connect in Mac Finder. Few users use the online portal for accessing files, so links sent through there are not very helpful. Also, users find it frustrating that they can't create persistent shortcuts to files in Finder to other files saved on Egnyte.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote access for our employees was finally fixed when we adopted Egntye. Also -- the ability to have robust, central administered permission setting without server administration was a big improvement for us.

What do you like best about the product?
Many users and access can be granted accordingly to all the users. Easy to block content and secure information. Every user can have
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to recover files once they are deleted from the folders. Hope there could be a way for multiple users to work on the same document like google drive as one has to close for the changes to be saved and another person to access.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to manage data accessibility - Sometimes there are items deleted and we can know where and who but not able to recover that.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is an amazing tool! I hope with time there are more changes and people can view and edit as well as use it as a communication tool. I think it is well integrated and it is helpful to have the documents easily accesible remotely compared to depending on one computer to have the data.

It is just a little complicated when wanting to edit a document on my phone,but I didn't want to have to get stuck in a loop

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte capabilities allows us to share data with people outside of our business. It makes possible the continuous updating, which ensures that every file that's carried out almost instantly is always the latest version of our systems. Besides, the mobile sync is an Egnyte tool without which is so useful we couldn't live without it! It has made all our job just faster and smoother.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, I find difficult to send a connection to an exchange folder or to set up a guest account with them when they need to submit files for us. Also, it would be good to have automated uninstall policies with Editable connections.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Several members of my company are working remotely so Egnyte allows us to share files smoothly and be able to interact as if we were in the same department. Egnyte is also used by the client manager to share files with existing clients and suppliers outside the enterprise. We use the function to exchange data files individually without the need to link individually to a cloud-based sharing platform. Honestly, our business wouldn't work as optimally as it does if Egnyte wasn't in our lives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To be honest, Egnyte is a true gem. It's one of the most important tools within our business. I feel it works much better and have more features built-in at a lower cost than the competition. It's intuitively configured to be integrated into your system with minimal effort of use.
