Most flexible business system for hosting files
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the customizable setup that Egnyte allows. I can structure folders in a way that make sense for me and my team, giving permissions and sharing to members in a way that makes sense for each person. It's not a one-size-fits-all approach, and that's exactly the way it should be! I've also really come to appreciate how well the mobile app works. When I have a file uploaded by a partner at 10pm (happens a lot!), it's a lot easier to open the app, verify it, and quickly move it along down the pipeline by sharing with the next partner, rather than getting access to the PC for a quick task.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator, I wish there were more reports designed to help me clean up older areas of Egnyte. For example, we have shifted the structure of our folders around twice in the last three years and there are a lot of duplicate folders floating around. I'd love to see a report indicating folders that hadn't been used in X months or years, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with a multitude of freelancers and business partners and need to pass files securely back and forth to them several times during a project. Egnyte lets us do that in a way that makes sense for them and saves time. In addition, the recent implementation of Office Online has been huge for our internal teamwork, allowing us to collaborate real-time on writing projects and production spreadsheets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can get your team on board, it's a great product that can provide solutions in areas that you didn't even realize were lacking!
A new way of share content management working since we discovered egnyte!
What do you like best about the product?
The usability and friendly interface. The full customization of the accesses, and the multiple sharing options. The streaming view of the file is also a very powerful feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Basically nothing. I just would add a couple of missing features

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The full and easy content provider, and the smooth sharing working flow in our company. And a high reduced cost in comparing an internal server solution, on top to be much more secure and accessible from all over the world. Our team is from USA to Malaysia.

Great price point, very straight forward user interface with easy navigation within the system makes it a great application to manage and share documentation

More detailed filters for the search bar functionality

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to upload/download/share/view our company’s project information from wherever I am.
What do you dislike about the product?
Plans only come in batches of five users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a decentralized file management solution that worked for office and site staff. With Egnyte we were able to deploy the solution with minimal disruption to activities. The system is now operating with great efficiency and is by in large self sustaining.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is one of the few companies out there with an easy to use file system. Setting permissions on a per-user basis is very easy. It is great that we can set up groups then add user to the group. It's quick and easy to set up users. Also very easy to share files with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great if the admin/I.T. Person could Log in as a specific user. Sometimes I would like to know exactly what one user sees.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have been able to give access to users that are out in the field easy access to all the files. No more VPNs!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is a great file server and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Egnyte is easy to understand - more so than that of Onedrive or Google Drive. Its setup as private vs shared is easy to explain to the end users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Desktop sync requires the local user to be an administrator.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud backup but the speed of local access.

Desktop application is fluid and fast, continuously implementing new features, support team is very helpful and ready to help, Protect works great for sensitive data and turbo is awesome for multiple offices, specially with low internet latency

Before they had old applications that gave some issues but it was long time ago. Now everything works as expected

Flexible, Powerful and easy to use cloud storage
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to implement and maintain and the customer service response is always quick and personable.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have it's complexities but that's probably my lack of understanding which customer support always quickly assists with

We are a small business and didn't want to invest in people and hardware to maintain servers and file storage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try the trial, it will quickly prove itself and it's easy to convert to a paid for version if you like it and easy to delete if you don't.

What do you like best about the product?
As an IT Support Manager my favorite feature is the seamless Bi-Directional syncing from 4 locations with no syncing issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There were issues in the early days trying to use Mac or Windows servers with the desktop sync software so I highly recommend using their Storage Sync product with ReadyNAS, Hyper-V or VMWare setups. Once I had that all in place it was a dream syncing to have a hybris cloud system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bi-Directional Syncing from multiple locations, Dropbox like sharing features, Office collaboration on line and slack sharing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need to sync, worry free and fast between cloud and office(s) with many integrations with most other SSAS platforms then Egnyte is for you.

What do you like best about the product?
The amount and depth and administrative control. Also, the email notifications that keep people aware of what is happening with file access, uploads, and downloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Well gosh. Nothing really comes to mind.

The ability to share very large files in a very secure way.
