A must have while using version-control
What do you like best about the product?
As a rookie programmer, I frequently make silly git pushes revealing my API key. Sometimes, this small mistake can lead to loads of unwanted billing issues due to the revealed key, or it can get permanently deleted by the owner. GitGuardian comes in handy, as it always alerts me about these mistakes.Hence, I always use it, whenever I am working on any project.
Another thing about GitGuardian is that it is very easy to use. Just integrate it with GitHub and it does it starts doing its job. The customer support is great as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some times the alert emails can be too frequent. For non-critical API reveals , the alert emails' frequency can be reduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Primarily, GitGuardian helps me with the following :
1. Making me aware that I have accidently revealed any API key.
2. Preventing unauthorized use of my API keys and saves me from billing issues.
3. Easy to use.

I would recommend GitGuarding
What do you like best about the product?
I would recommend GitGuardian as it is completely satisfying all my needs for github projects. When i push some commits and forget about hiding some important data with .gitignore. Git guardian tells me about this and also quickly resolves this kind of situation
What do you dislike about the product?
For my needs, i am fully satisfied with git guardian.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All kind of problems related to forgetting of hiding some data in my commits.

What do you like best about the product?
Whenever I published any code that contains sensitive token or credentials, it detected right way and sent me an email about that. It is the most wonderful task that might slip way from mind if I don't give enough attention
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not well integrate into telegram, discord or such messaging platforms. Also, it could not detect an AWS token if the variable name is not obvious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
. I am a sole developer, so I usually don't review my code after pushing (as I myself wrote the code and checked the code, I kinda feel confident). But, it is not uncommon for me to forget that my access tokens are publicly accessible via my code. But, voila!!!! Git gurdian is here to assist me

If the cost is an issue, I will review the usage in the future.

For now, the GitGuardian is good for security in data.

What do you like best about the product?
One of the standout features of GitGuardian that i like is its proactive approach to data security. Because it continuously scans code repositories in real-time, it has really helped me to detect potential security threats before they escalate into data breaches.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not had any disappointments with GitGuardian, everything is going well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitGuardian has helped me to mitigate the risks associated with data exposure in code repositories, it has helped me in terms of data protection especially sensitive information like API-KEYS, passwords and many more.
Gitguardian is very helpful. it helps to keep secret a secret!

It scans for any vulnerability and warns which helps to keep our applications secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can't remove anything which is a good thing. Sometimes I get false alarm too(if we use dummy tokens)

By providing warnings about any insecure keys or tokens that are shared, this feature helps to maintain the security of the code.

What do you like best about the product?
When secret text was added to github, GitGuardin was quick to spot it and notify us. Event though it was releated to our test env for internal purpose, but getting to know the issue and thus we acting on it fast was valuable.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now we have not observed anything that can be considered as cons / dislike

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it finds secrets as soon as they're commited and pushed! It integrates with Git so I can see who wrote the commit, and I can easily assign the issue to them and track its status from creation to resolution. The categorization and validation features are awesome, and the pre-commit hooks that prevent secrets from being committed in the first place are awesome too! Integrations with Discord and Slack are awesome too.

I have no complaints about GitGuardian whatsoever.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitGuardian helps us find secrets that have been committed, rotate them and remove them from Git. It helps us track the issues from end-to-end, and it's commit hook integration even helps me prevent my team from committing secrets in the first place!

What do you like best about the product?
The fact that I've made mistakes where I've exposed api keys a couple of times, and immidiately got an email by git guardian saying that I've exposed a secret. There is a great UI to work with, where you can say if it's a false positive, if it's resolved, if it's a secret but you want it public etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
If I am not wrong, git guardian is fulfilling it's purpose. It's supposed to protect me and my secrets. I have no dislikes about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving my unintended security leaks. Which is really, really important. I've once uploaded my cloudinary api keys to github, and wouldn't notice if I didn't receive an email from gitguardian. Now hat's some good service!!
