Trying it is adopting it!
What do you like best about the product?
-> Creating Low Resolution / Proxy video & asset from our own workstation or server, locally from the set or uploading on the road, to able editors starting the job and then relink with High Resolution, without wasting time
-> Creating & sharing collection for customers, faster than FTP or WeTransfer, able them to have a look at the file in their smarpthone before downloading High Resolution
-> Editorial partner / TV Channel can access our production efficiently with rights selection to watch videos and/or validate them and/or add comments for modificaitons
-> Backup offline on cold hardrive in the shelf and online on one NAS Synology and another NAS (disaster recovery) with Freeenas ... and always know and browse media files
-> Transfer / manage / drive files from one location to another location, which could be server or workstations or cloud ... thanks to the iconik ISG Gateway
-> Archive & restore clean-feed & master to cloud and be able to manage files in a hurry on the road to a client for the day before ....

What do you dislike about the product?
Today, 2020.06.04 :
... no GPU acceleration
... OpAtom not supported
... managing & monitoring several audio tracks on a video file
... play more than 1 audio track with 2 channel L/R not yet available
... no way to rewrap / change audio track of a video media file from other audio files
... .stl (ebu) subtitle not supported : have to convert them to .srt and works like a charm

Not wasting time anymore :
-> Know where all our production are stored and quick find them
-> Quick share media files with browsing low resolution video before downloading huge media file in high resolution
-> No need to install a client software to access to media files : it just:works with a browser as Chrome and/or Firefox

Iconik is the hybrid cloud MAM for media production of all sizes
What do you like best about the product?
It's the asset management you always dreamt about but thought you could never afford or was scared to commit to. Iconik is designed from the ground up to be the hybrid Cloud, headache-free SaaS, which doesn't get in the way of the existing folder based workflows. It mirrors on-prem infrastructure to the cloud without forcing to change the operations unlike other MAMs that "want to rule it all" . It enables seamless transition between on-prem to remote, cloud operations. To bring your own cloud, be that AWS or GCP, is super straightforward via its UI or, if you fancy, via API. The monthly costs associated with Iconik are mostly centered on the user accounts, so it's easy to scale down or up the operations, or even bring it down to a bare minimum ( 1 user a month) if you just want to keep the metadata and still track the assets. Iconik can handle production of any size: there is no fear of hitting a dreaded number of maximum assets. Iconik openly published the overview of its infrastructure services: it's agile and infinitely scalable. Its integration with Adobe Suite of production tools is top notch. It's amazing solution that immediately solves the most pressing problems of a modern media production. With the current need to migrate production to remote workflows, it's indispensable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major comes to mind. I think the next big step for Iconik is to build a community of users and developers to open source Iconik centric API interactions with various solutions. Iconik was built with API first goal, so the sky is the limit here.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enable to quickly migrate / mirror on-prem storage to the cloud via Iconik Storage Gateways. Immediate review and approval of assets while in production. Easy remote operations of any scale. Iconik enables seamless operation and collaboration of on-prem, off-site and cloud based editing workstations.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend to immediately integrate Iconik with your own cloud accounts, e.g. AWS, to achieve more cost savings by introducing archive storage tiers, e.g. Deep Glacier

Iconik has made content management available to users with minimal learning.
The integration into our existing workflows was made easier using API.
Metadata management is very well thought out.

It would be great if the notifications could be customized a bit more.
I don't like that navigating away from upload page stops upload without a warning.

Iconik gets the job done
What do you like best about the product?
Iconik is very searchable and has a lot of functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could adjust the size of the navigation bars which one uses to scroll up and down and side to side on the page. Those bars are too small and are hard to click on and use.
I also wish that when you do a keyword search, that Iconik would tell you HOW MANY times a keyword exists in the metadata of an asset from a list view.
Also, my coworkers have complained that the Iconik support staff is not very responsive.

I solve the issue of storing video and audio data and making it searchable across many parameters.
