Webmethods Best Integration production
What do you like best about the product?
API gateway, Apama, Universal Messaging, Trading Networks, Integration server & Digital Event Servers
What do you dislike about the product?
They way product support works!! SAG need to reconsider the customer support model

Real time Analytics, Main Frame Integrations, External vendor API integrations

What do you like best about the product?
I like breath of tools and applications for enterprise integrations, gateways, portal, data management, BPM, performance management and governance that SAG offers. Most products are integrated with each other OTB. BPM is event driven and supported by Universal Messaging, also integrated with Business process designer tool. Lots of pre-built functions to include in your own development. Integrated IDE for integrations, UI, BPM that also talks to central repository. Promising offerings on the cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Suite is huge and require lots of learning particular for folks not familiar with BPM/ESB or event driven design approaches. Lots of documentation but not much of examples. Some help exists on developers blog and web site but not enough for such huge amount of information. Training is highly recommended.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use WebMethods/SAG product suite for BPM, Integrations (IS), monitoring, UI and Governance
Business uses process modeling (ARIS). Integrating of all products require only configurations.
Webmethods Flow language when done right produces more compact code faster then traditional languages for specific applications such as integrations and mapping.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't underestimate value of training and learning curve. Investigate and buy products you want to integrate from the same vendor (SAG in this case).

Flexibility and performance of Integration Server and Universal messaging. The range of connectors available that meet our various use-cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
Price flexibility compared to competitors.

Webmethods servers as the underlying platform for one of our product suites. The product has been solid and stable in rolling out agile product features and services to customers.

Software AG Tech support is not upto the mark.

Very expensive to add to existing license.

Complex integrations in an interconnected ecosystem. Automating and governing business process affecting our bottom line.

What do you like best about the product?
Product keeps up with industry trends. Latest security upgrades with TLS 1.2 were handled gracefully with WebMethods.
What do you dislike about the product?
Patches and/or upgrades can be taxing. Some small fixes can require a large "core" based upgrade which then forces us to treat a small fix as a major upgrade.

Realtime integrations, EDI with banks, customers and partners, connecting disparate systems like SAP and new mobile/web applications.

End of Maintenance for each product is too short (only 3 years).
No adapter for ISO messaging.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how the service created only by using flow or xml and when needed we can code using java also, but mostly flow service are enough
What do you dislike about the product?
cannot think one thing that I do not like about this products

we are creating a standard business services to be use by others system. It is easy to integrate with other system and to be integrated by others system since webmethods already using industry standard such as HTTP, REST, XML, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
good ESB platform with nearly perfect documentation, you will easily learn to use webaMethods

Robust and fast delivery of integration solution with most exist product in current market

I like most parts but webMethods needs to do more work to adopter DevOps and clouding

It provides robust and fast integration solution as ESB product, we did get lots of benefit with message bus product as well to support banking business
