effective solution, adapted to oriented service
What do you like best about the product?
oriented service (all is service), focus on data transformation - not on technical interface
use of standard for REST and SOAP - free adapter standard like jms
packaging of the solution facilitate development and allow to use db , scheduler, cache if needed

packaging of solution is imposed, we do not know how to deploy just a part of the solution (without db, scheduler, ...admin..)

Pub/Sub Mechanism is very user friendly.

What do you like best about the product?
Integration Server are very powerful if well setup and implemented (we process millions of messages per day). Designer tool helps to develop fast, and it is easy to train developers from other technologies to develop webmethods flows.
I like the Innovation Spirit of Software AG and I am confident that the product will be supported and follow technological evolutions for years.

What do you dislike about the product?
Licencing is too expensive. The need to develop monitoring system to have a more convenient monitoring of interfaces running on our platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WebMethods enabled us to cope with with rapid growth of our activity. We are able to develop dozens of new EDI per month and deliver on time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
webMethods is the good tool for EDI , ESB and EAI with any connectivity. Be careful to have a good sizing and follow implementations best practices to ensure it becomes a success.

It allows te company to automate enough tasks, and freeing time to employees to do other tasks of more added value

It is very complex to manage. Also the support policies are very rigid, being necessary continuous updates of the product

It is able to automate repetitive tasks and have them controlled

Due to the lack of business use case implementation, Sag should offer a business use case ready solution (such as DMP, eCommerce, or any business-facing SAAS) based on its own tools. This will provide access to more decision-making sponsors and also help SAG demonstrate the real quality of its tools based on real business cases.

Perfect for real-time data integration, not an ETL, or it might cost you a lot.

Migration process for new release and hard to get proper help form support at the beginig of the troubleshoothing

Required support is, sometimes, hard to get. Lately, we have been migrating BPMS and is was really ifficult to have someone to help us.

We currently use many webMethods products. All of them are giving us the performance and stability, so it reach our standards

I am not sure I've encountered any issues or dislikes. The technical team , support and account team is very helpful and always receptive to feedbacks and quick to respond.

webMethods provides out of the box adapters for majority of COTS products and makes integration easy and simple. Their support team is amazing and diligent in resolving issues.

Improve client engagement involve clients in product features, deliver the features requested by clients in a timely manner
