Applinx has been a solid product

  • July 10, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We process several thousand transactions/day through it, 365 days a year, and it is very solid. The ability to handle exceptions is very good, and the SOAP interface was very easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is a bit steep; it would be nice if the debugger was a bit more robust; the documentation could still be better, though it is improving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a near realtime (2 seconds) interface between a PC-based application and a mainframe application. This worked great.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We spent some money on a services agreement to do training and "coaching" during our first application, it was money well spent.

The deployer is a little clunky, easy to accidentally make changes in higher environments when logged in for troubleshooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enterprise integration between different backend and front end systems.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to learn, efficient, quick development.
