Really effortless, what a super product
What do you like best about the product?
It does exactly as you'd hope it does. Imagine the simplicity of a Google Meet or Zoom call. It just works. Super easy to invite people. Editing with their AI-speech-to-text is really good - plus they've just added fine-grain editing capabilities so I will now be able to edit fully within browser. I've only been using the service for 2 weeks and it's now an indispensible tool in my podcast production process. I upgraded after one episode to the full subscription. Love the 'export to Spotify Podcaster' capability too. Seamless.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd love if the service offered even more capabilities for export - e.g. if it could also do a lot of the social media publication aspects. But I'm just nitpicking because you asked. I think it's fantastic.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I absolutely LOVE the local recording of audio and video - and then the sound normalisation and noise reduction magic that happens in the background when I press those options is just fantastic.
Great Customer Service...before I was even a customer.
What do you like best about the product?
I had very specific requirements I needed met in order to consider Riverside. Customer service responded so thoroughly that I was excited to become a customer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I'm waiting on is a demo to see if I should upgrade. I don't consider this a negative, simply a scheduling issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I wanted to be able to record my interviews in high resolution but I needed the user experience to be as easy as Zoom. One simple link to a room/ studio - not created each time I wanted to have a session. The quality is great and my interviewees have said it was very easy to log on (and in some cases re-log on).
Seemless Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I am very impresses with how well riverside works. As a podcaster recording internationally, it has always functioned well!
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost... I am an undergraduate student learning from physicians about mission medicine and the price I pay to use this platform is a little steep...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None that I am aware of.
Excellent for high quality remote recordings
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside provides exceptional quality for audio and video recordings for my podcast!
What do you dislike about the product?
nothing I can think of at the moment. Sometimes there is an occasional delay but that is expected with WiFi connections not always being stable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using Zencastr before, and was very dissatisfied with the audio and video quality. Riverside provides great video and audio quality as well as other services..
Big fan
What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly simple to use. The functionality is great. We use this for all of our podcasts and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for great software to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly cannot think of anything that I do not like right now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy to use interface to record podcasts
Podcast Recordings for Proffessionals
What do you like best about the product?
Riveriside is the tool you need if you are serious about high quality podcasting. Riverside is useful to record interviews remotely, produce solo content, and even host my travel podcast. Conducting interviews is easy because Riverside focuses on the quality for customers over everything else.
What do you dislike about the product?
Riverside could benefit from more announcements to changes. I've had clients confused when some feature is moved from one place to another. I'm sure this is being addressed by their amazing team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can now record podcast interviews everywhere I go. It's easy to get high quality, 4k content without a ton of extra tools. I currently host podcasts locally, virtually and even travel across the United States! Riverside made it easy to record using my iphone camera and Shure Mv7.
An amazing tool for podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
Riverisde is super reliable and the quality of the recording can't be faulted. You never get any issues with lag or poor data thanks to the local recording. I'm a big fan.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have any complaints but I would like to see a studio sound-type edit feature (like Descript) and their magic edits need some work (but that is still in early development so it will be interesting to see what happens).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to use Google Meets to record my podcast but I'd always get lad and issues with the recording. I haven't had those issues since using Riverside.
My Production Partner - My Editing Team - My Podcast support System - My Everything!
What do you like best about the product?
This is such a comprehensive production studio that its hard to select one thing that stands out. I guess I would have to say the team behind it all. With such an incredible support system in place, I always feel as though I go into Studio everytime with a team behind me. My questions get answered, my needs get met, my concerns or thoughts are anticipated monthly when they think of new ways to improve my experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think I would like to see more post-production options in studio. I still have to export my files to do all the things that I want but it would be nice to be able to have a bit more edting and post production features. Which I am sure is already in the works!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An online studio that allows for capture of the footage remotely and then ensures that it all uploads to the cloud for final review was a game changer in terms of ensuring quality. Add to that the clips and editing features, the ability to create different views for export, syncing with my social platforms should be next and of course adding media now has some interesting features and options, although I am not ready to do this while live and recording. I am still stuck on doing this all post. I guess I need to get better prepared prior to recording so that I can take advantage of these features.
So easy it's unreal
What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of sending a client a link and not thinking twice about if they will be able to navigate Riverside.fm It's truly one of the most seamless processes I use
What do you dislike about the product?
I have yet to master it on my iPad! It would be awesome to be able to use it from multiple computers and have the same easy peasy process I have on my desktop.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My favorite part of using Riverside.fm is the ability to extract my portion of the audio and video. I record sessions that may be viewed as compromising to some, so being able to assure my clients that I will never use your image not voice is key
The Best Way to Record Video Calls for Editing
What do you like best about the product?
Local recording means pristine sources with no internet drop out. Individual video and audio files per speaker allows for seamless editing.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish you could upload existing video files because their automatic transcription of every recording is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pristine video recording without dropout or internet glitches. Being able to edit these individual source files easily is a big win, especially for video podcasts.
