My daily driver for long-form video

    Reviewed on Oct 06, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
Above all else, I like how dependable Riverside is for high-quality recording. I can have a guest halfway across the world, and the final audio still sounds like we’re in the same room. The local recording feature is the unsung hero because it saves tracks directly from each person’s device, so even if someone’s Wi-Fi drops, the quality doesn’t suffer.

To me, the platform feels built for creators who care about both polish and speed. I can record, edit, and publish in one place without jumping between tools. It’s simple, clean, and just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to dislike, but a few small things stand out. The built-in editor can feel limiting for more nuanced polish if that's what you need. Upload syncs sometimes take longer than expected, especially with longer video files. I also wish there were more visual customization options for branding the studio layout. None of these are deal-breakers, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solved the chaos that used to come with remote recording. Before, I’d juggle Zoom, separate mics, and messy audio syncs. Now everything’s captured locally in studio-quality tracks that stay aligned. It eliminated the fear of “what if the connection drops?” because each person’s audio and video are recorded on their own device. The automatic upload and browser-based setup make it simple for guests too, which saves a ton of back-and-forth. The result is faster turnaround, less post-production cleanup, and way more confidence hitting record. It’s basically turned my podcast workflow into a system I can trust every time.

Essential for scaling our thought leadership and content repurposing

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the quality and ease of use. Recording our podcast and repurposing it into clips for social media is now a seamless process for my team. The video editing capabilities, while not for complex projects, are perfect for creating short, polished clips from our long-form interviews. The ease of implementation meant we saw a return on our investment almost immediately. We use it weekly, and the customer support has been helpful the few times we've needed it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The analytics on how our clips perform could be more detailed. For a CEO, I want to see more data on viewer engagement. While the ease of integration was good, I'd prefer a native connection with our CRM to track how this content influences leads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were struggling to produce enough high-quality video content to build my profile as a thought leader. Riverside solved this by making it simple to record, edit, and repurpose a single interview into a podcast, blog quotes, and multiple social media videos. The benefit is a significant increase in my digital presence and brand authority without a proportional increase in time or production costs.

The quality and reliability we need for all our executive communications

    Reviewed on Oct 04, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use means I can jump on a recording with an investor or for an all-hands message without any technical setup. The video editing tools are straightforward enough that my assistant can make quick cuts to my recordings without needing a full production team. Implementation was handled by our in-house team in under a day. We use it several times a month, and the number of features, like the separate audio tracks, means we get a professional result without complexity. It integrates smoothly with our content calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the basic video editing is good for trimming, I wouldn't rely on it for complex edits. The initial upload time for a very long, high-resolution recording can be a bit slow, but it's a background process. I'd like to see more granular control over user permissions for larger teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solved our problem of inconsistent quality in our remote executive communications. Before, a poor internet connection could make an important update look unprofessional. Now, every recording is studio quality. The benefit is that I can communicate with our global team and stakeholders with confidence, knowing the video and audio will reflect well on our brand, which is crucial for a CEO.

A production editor's dream for remote interviews

    Reviewed on Oct 04, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
As an editor, the quality of the source files is what I appreciate most. Getting separate, high-quality video and WAV audio tracks for each person makes post-production so much more flexible. The ease of use for the guests is also a huge plus—they just click a link. The number of features, like the built-in video editing for quick cuts and the magic clipper for social media, saves me a ton of time on smaller projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
For a professional editor, the video and audio editing tools are understandably limited. I primarily use it for capturing the best possible source footage. I've also noticed that if a guest has a very slow internet connection, the initial upload of their high-res video can delay the editing process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My biggest problem was receiving poorly compressed, mixed-down audio and video files from remote recordings. Riverside solves this by giving me pristine, separate tracks to work with. The benefit is a much higher quality final product and the ability to fix issues that would be impossible with a single mixed audio file, making my clients much happier.

10/10! Started using Riverside for social clips and now starting my own youtube channel

    Reviewed on Oct 03, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
I give Riverside a full 10/10. The platform makes editing unbelievably easy—even for someone like me who started with zero video or editing experience. The Magic Clips feature is incredible for instantly creating short-form videos and hooks, and the built-in captions and branding tools are simple but professional. The Magic Audio tool is also a lifesaver, automatically balancing out different mic levels in seconds.

What really sets Riverside apart is how much it inspires creativity. I originally started using it just to cut social clips from podcasts I was interviewed on. But the combination of easy editing, AI-generated video descriptions for social posts, and pro-level features motivated me to launch my own YouTube channel and podcast. For anyone creating content, Riverside makes the whole process seamless—and fun.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing I can think of at the moment honestly...
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It made it feasible for me to actually mass produce great video content for my social platforms and start my own podcast and youtube channel.
