Intuitive AI Podcast Editing with Auto Shorts—Great Value for Beginners
What do you like best about the product?
I am just beginning with podcasting and many of the tools and resources are very intuitive. Being able to edit with AI is great, and I especially like the automatic shorts that it creates from the podcast to be able to promote the podcast. Great value and resources!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not been frustrated with any features or services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is a recording software for my podcasts and socials related to the podcast. It saves from normalizing using audacity or another software, those features are all built in!
Effortless Pro Sound, Multi-Angle Recording, and Transcripts in One
What do you like best about the product?
I didn't expect it to be so easy to get professional sound and multiple recording angles, plus a transcript. Super easy to edit as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
The "magic moments" are usually a hit or miss. more of a miss than a hit. Content wise
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need a space to record podcasts without having a physical studio, but still having a good sound and doing magic with videos once the recording is done. All in one place
Easy to Use, High-Quality Results with Helpful Suggestions
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, very high quality, interesting "help" and suggestions
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish it made it easier to download just the straight transcript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would have absolutely no idea how to get quality video and audio recordings without a simple, easy-to-use, and easy-to-understand system like Riverside.
High-Quality Video That Beats Zoom
What do you like best about the product?
The video quality is high, especially compared to Zoom, which I think sucks.
What do you dislike about the product?
very glitchy and alwasy chaning the ui and ux
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
better quality videos than zoom
High-Quality, Consistent Product for Interviews
What do you like best about the product?
The quality and consistency of the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm often doing interviews but have others in attendance (producers, reps), I wish there was a way to hide them from my view so I can focus on producing the talent. Some time of "Full Screen" mode for who I can the most about. Sometimes I need to give them framing notes and the way things are currently it's hard for me to see the full frame using the Pin option.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Doing interviews with high end talent that would be harder to get in person. I've interviewed many celebrities and filmmakers using Riverside.
Good Good Good
What do you like best about the product?
visible, reliable. Friendly for Podcaster.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little pricey, can not afford.
Voice recording can be clearer.
Voice recording can be clearer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

So Easy to Use—Helps Structure Great Calls Across All My Projects
What do you like best about the product?
So easy to use and it helps structure a great call and quality for all my projects
What do you dislike about the product?
As a creator, I’d like to have more features available. I want more freedom to schedule multiple people for the same project at different times, without losing the link or having to create another session in a new project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
at this time we have been ok
High-Quality Call Recording and Powerful Tools for Shareable, Branded Content
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside addresses a key challenge for my agency - being able to quickly and easily capture hi-quality video from online calls which we can use in social media posts and other videos, and really robust automated tools to take longer format video and parse it into useful and shareable content with good tools to do branding, captions and layout
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in video editor in Riverside - the timeline element - is tricky to use accurately and can be difficult for anything but simple trims and timeline splits. I've used Final Cut and Premiere for years and I find this element underwhelming and in need of some revision
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside rapidly moves unedited video content into useful formats that can be shared and amplified on our marketing channels quickly. It saves a ton of time.
Super Simple, Professional, and User-Friendly—Great Co-Creator & AI Tools
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is a super simple platform that is professional and user friendly. I love the help I get from the co creator and AI tools. It makes things so clear and ready to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like they recently changed the teleprompter so I cant see myself and have it full screen at the same time. Sometimes I like to see how the video is coming along as I am reading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The platform allows me to simplify the process and saves me from recording in one spot and editing in another. It allows me to quickly upload content that I have created in a format that can be used in various forms of Social media and platforms. It's really a time saver and allows me to be creative in the work I am doing.
Riverside offers services that speed up my work and improve the quality of the content I produce.
What do you like best about the product?
Editing saves time, and the AI tools that generate clips and short reels are decent and keep improving. I appreciate being able to add my clients' branding to videos, and the audio enhancement is awesome. The recording quality is very high, and the videos come out sharp and crisp.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as good at audio editing. While I now use video in addition to the regular podcasts, the flow of audio for video and audio-only is very different. The editing tools that remove filler words and pauses require extra editing on my part to create the smooth sound I want for the podcasts. Also, it decides what "filler words" are, and I would like the option to add a list of words and phrases that I can flag. For instance, "I think that," "I mean," "And" at the beginning of a sentence. I can, of course, do this through the search function, but that is cumbersome.
The AI assistant that can produce text and thumbnails is just ok. It could be much better. As a result, I either edit a lot of what it suggests or I use ChatGPT or Gemini.
There is another issue I have been trying to bring to Riverside's attention. They are very good at responding to support issues, but I cannot get anyone to respond to this dilemma I have.
Riverside is Israeli-owned, and some of my clients and their guests, because of political reasons, have reservations about working with companies out of Israel. Riverside is not on any of the "boycott" lists, but my clients want assurances that Riverside is not connected with the Israeli government or actions in Palestine. From what I can tell, it is not. It is a good product, and the people running it may hold personal political beliefs, but the platform and the company seem neutral on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
I need to provide more assurances to my clients, but I cannot until I hear from someone in Riverside management. Otherwise, I would have answered the question, "How likely is it that you would recommend Riverside to a friend or colleague?" with a 10.
