Tech friendly for the not-too-tech saavy
What do you like best about the product?
I am as novice as can be when it comes to podcasting. After researching and watching demos of various platforms, I kept coming back to Riverside FM. It works so nicely with Spotify and I can navigate the process prettyintuitively. Moreover, when I do need support, the customer service is top notch! You get quick help in real time and a personal follow up that is quite nice. I've been using the platform since October and right out of the gate it was easy to get set up and make great sounding - and looking - recordings. I have made about 15 episodes of a solo podcast. I use it about 3-4 times a week and will utilize the AI editing features to help trim things up quickly. I love that there are clip options too. My favorite feature is the AI generated show notes and chapters. It makes uploading to other sites so nicely. I can integrate my own Canva graphics, for example a logo, with one click. I'm still learning and getting more proficient each time I log in. I'm a huge fan because it makes me feel like I know what I'm doing on this aspect of podcasting, even if I'm still figuring out the other non-Riverside components of what it takes to launch a successful podcast. I need to dabble more and continue to utilize the community forums that look like another great resource.
What do you dislike about the product?
I honestly can't think of anything. I know I'm not expert enough to pick it apart at a highly technical level, but as far as a newbie user with limited prior skills, it has been really straightforward, and for the cost, I feel like get a lot and I'm learning quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is helping me conquer the mountain of "I know nothing about this" that was so intimidating when I was first looking into starting a podcast. They break their tutorials down into easy to follow step-by-step units that keep me feeling successful and motivated to learn and try more. I know that they are also deeply commited on the backstage side, where the technical stuff is way beyond my scope of understanding, to keep upgrading and improving the user experience.
