Riverside Upped My Game
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it automatically defines audio. For a novice like me, it is extremely useful. I like the magic clips as well so I can make content on social media quicker. I also like that it emails you when your clips are ready and I can share them from my phone.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the functionality of editing the entire episode is difficult when you attempt to manually put in a time within the clip you want to jump to. Sometimes it won't let you and "times out".
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better AV quality. Also the content I am able to produce on social media for outreach purposes has gotten significantly better. Additionally, I enjoy the functionality it has with being able to upload from my phone. I do wish the app had more features.
Amazing platform & Easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
It's user-friendly and easy to use as a beginner which I am. The quality of the video is much better than other options when you're doing virtual Zoom-like podcasts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing serious, you just have to tell your guest to wait to exit their browser to make sure their video uploads correctly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
High quality video production, low stress to use.
Lots of great features and simple to use

Almost Perfect!
What do you like best about the product?
When I began podcasting, I used a product that ruined more than one episode due to network dropouts. When a colleague told me about Riverside.fm, I was skeptical. But they have a free trial, and after recording only one episode, I knew I needed it. Separate tracks per podcast guest allows me to apply different processing to each voice, and separate video clips allows me to cut back and forth as necessary. I have become my own Executive Producer and Director!
Because Riverside.fm is all browser-based, I no longer use any other product for video conferencing. Even the mobile apps work amazingly well. I very highly recommend Riverside.fm for podcasters and anybody who needs to record high-quality audio and video over the internet.

What do you dislike about the product?
My one gripe about Riverside.fm is the inability to cut among multiple guests as they speak. I had grown used to that with other products, and I miss it. When recording, I still look at myself as half the screen.
To be clear, there is a button to click to maximize one guest...but you have to click manually among guests to maximize each as they speak. It's a minor gripe - certainly not enough pain to go back to a product that spotlights the speaker, but cuts off what is being said!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I record a podcast, and Riverside.fm is invaluable for that. But I also record videos to a group of people, and Riverside.fm works really well to record my audio and video as well as screen captures. Riverside.fm's major superpower is being able to split each guest in a recording into separate tracks. My ability to perform post-production on audio and video is a lifesaver!
I've also used Riverside.fm to combine and process tracks, although I only used that feature once. The functionality worked well, although I can apply noise gates and compressors on my own and get similar or better results. That said, I've used recording hardware and software since the 1990s.
