Riverside is the only tool you need to run an independent Podcast
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is so easy to use! We are an independent, remote team of 3, writing, recoding, and producing the Blue Couch Collective Podcast, and Riverside is the only way we can manage our podcast without hiring outside help. From the desktop app that records audio and video locally, then uploads for clean, crisp content, to the editor and organization tools, this is a well-thought-out platform. The suite of AI tools in Riverside takes the cake. It makes creating clips, thumbnails, show notes, and social posts so easy, and as a small team, this is so amazing
What do you dislike about the product?
Several "Premium" features are available for use in the editor, which are paywalled when you export. I pay for the standard tier, and this means the exported audio sounds very different than how you hear it in the editor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is our all-in-one remote podcast tool. It allows us to host guests, record video podcasts, edit, clip, and generate content for all of our social media needs
Riverside Makes Video Creation Easy and Reliable for Podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is user friendly and dependable. I have used the program for almost 3 years and their customer service is not only fast, but they deliver every time. What I love about this program is how user friendly it is. I knew nothing about riverside before I joined, and I was able to start making videos right out of the gate. There are so many features that makes my job editing so much easier. I record on riverside at least twice a week and never have to worry that i will lose any content. Even my guests who have never used riverside before has found it so easy to navigate. I have converted many podcasters from zoom to riverside and it really wasn't a hard sell. After they see how easy it is to use and the quality of the finished product. It sells itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
As far as downsides, there really isn't any that is a deal breaker for me. The only complaint that I have is using the built in backgrounds. I have used a professional green screen to make it better, and while it is better, you can still tell that you are using a green screen. That is the only flaw in riverside fm. It's a feature that i do not have to have, but i would love to see that improved for other projects that i may take on down the road.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
before riverside I used zoom and it was never dependable. and as typical with guests who are in spots with bad wifi, what you see is what you get. But with riverside, that solves the problem. because it uploads the recordings from both ends to the cloud. i get a crystal clear picture of my guests, even if their internet connection is choppy.

What do you like best about the product?
Our team uses Riverside on a regular basis for content creation, and it’s become an essential part of our workflow. The platform continues to grow and adapt, taking user feedback to heart and putting it into action. I really appreciate their in-depth knowledge, friendly and proactive customer support, and consistently polished webinars. The recording experience is intuitive and user-friendly — a huge plus for designers managing multiple applications at once! Riverside has become a key part of how we record, collaborate, and deliver high-quality content.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s still room for continued growth as the platform expands — a few features occasionally feel in progress, but it’s clear they’re actively improving and listening to user feedback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside is constantly evolving to meet new trends and creative demands. I primarily use it for podcasting and interview-style videos, and the platform has come a long way in a short time. When I first started using Riverside, it was simple and straightforward — not many transitions or visual options. Less than a year later, it’s been completely revamped with new overlays, transitions, and layout features that make my job much easier and reduce my reliance on external tools.
VERY User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I love the interface and the ease of use for my clients (many are not tech savvy) I also love the quality of the audio and the video. This has been a game changer for our business!
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like that I can only schedule 3 sessions and have to upgrade to schedule more. I would like a simple button once I have the emails all in to be able to toggle them as audience member or guest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do a ton of remote video recording...I love that the images are stable and the audio is clean and clear.

In a regulated industry like financial advice, trust is everything. Riverside allows me to send personalised, high-quality video messages to clients. The ease of use is fantastic; I can record, do a quick audio check, and send a link in minutes. The screen capture is also invaluable for walking clients through their portfolios. The ability to make minor edits to the video and ensure the audio is perfectly clear before sending has been incredibly valuable for maintaining our professional image.
What do you dislike about the product?
The feature set is so broad that we likely only use half of what it offers. It would be helpful to have guided workflows or templates for specific business types like ours. The implementation was so easy we were up and running in an afternoon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside has solved the problem of impersonal digital communication. Email and text can be misread, but a friendly, clear video message builds immense rapport. It has dramatically improved client satisfaction and retention. We've also used it to host virtual Q&A sessions, which we record and edit for our website, positioning us as a helpful and transparent authority. The benefit is a stronger client-advisor relationship.

What do you like best about the product?
Working with partners and clients across Asia-Pacific means internet connectivity is never a given. Riverside's local recording has been a game-changer for ensuring we get high-quality video and audio from every participant, every time. The ease of use of the video editor means I can quickly turn a one-hour regional strategy call into a concise recap for our leadership team without needing specialized skills. The audio cleanup tools are also crucial for making sure every voice is clear and professional.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scheduling recordings across wildly different time zones can be tricky, and while Riverside has a scheduling feature, it doesn't fully sync with all calendar systems we use. It's a small workflow hiccup we've learned to work around.

Riverside solves our challenge of maintaining a consistent and professional brand presence across a vast and diverse region. It allows our regional experts to become content creators without a technical barrier. The benefit is a more authentic and frequent connection with our audience, and a significant reduction in the cost and complexity of producing multi-lingual and multi-region marketing materials.
Great for Some Tasks, But Editing Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
This is an excellent product for recording, and the AI enhancer works very well. It's also incredibly easy to use!
What do you dislike about the product?
This isn't really ideal for editing, as it feels too slow when compared to using local editing tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The app offers features like recording on distance, and a local cache. These functions work as expected and contribute to a smooth user experience.
Great AI Tools and Script Features, but Navigation Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that Riverside Pro generates a script and show notes. But the best part I've most recently discovered are the AI tools such as Magic Audio and Eye contact---best tools ever!
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be a little bit cumbersome to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sound quality has been made so much easier with Riverside. Magic Audio is amazing. I'm now saving hours from trying to get the audio just right. And the generation of a script and show notes is a huge time-saver.
The Gold Standard for Creating Premium Marketing Content
What do you like best about the product?
Unmatched audio and video quality are the highlights of the device. In my position, the way our brand is perceived means everything to me, and the content we create for webinars, customer endorsements, and thought leadership interviews should be perfect. Riverside provides us with the same quality as a live broadcast but from a distance, which is very convenient for us to work with specialists and clients from all over the globe. We do not have to lower our standard of professionalism even by the smallest bit. The independent, high-quality recordings for every individual make it so that our after-production work becomes very easy and quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
Strength of the platform is not editing but recording. It is wonderful to use for the capture of raw materials, but the editing that come along with the platform are just simple ones. In our situation with a marketing team that is always in a rush, we could really make good use of more advanced features, with a better flow of work, such as easier clip marking or having more than one person being able to access the same collaborative review link. These features would free up a great amount of our time. Most of the time, we end up downloading the files and editing them in another program.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside has mastered the challenge of successfully increasing our output of quality, captivating video and audio content. In the past, the process of scheduling face-to-face recordings for our video series was expensive and complicated from the logistics perspective. Currently, we are able to have several remote guests at the same time, record videos of high quality in a short period, and in fact, this has been a game-changer for us. As a result, this situation has become our main source of demand generation and brand authority, giving us the opportunity to produce content not only more personalized but also more powerful and at large.
