Intuitive Editing and Pro Sound, But Needs Smoother Controls
What do you like best about the product?
Ideal for productivity and speed and ease.
As someone new to this type of software, I have appreciated the simple interface and AI assistant. Editing is intuitive and provides the sound level mastering with the click of a button. This makes my recordings sound like they're recorded on a top of the line and mastered by a pro.
This software makes the published product appear as if a team of people have produced it. While I have not endeavored to make more complex videos involving multiple cuts and scenes, it has been perfect for long recorded shoots of the same speakers.
Video quality output is always excellent. Real-time recording and editing doesn't use the full resolution that will apply to your final exported project. This means you're freeing RAM to do your studio work and recording. Final exports are usually ready in under 10 minutes.
The software team are always quick to respond to any driver errors or outages and keep users updated with multiple real-time notifications. I have NEVER lost work or a recording after using the software for 7 months.
Integrating with other platforms for direct upload and publishing continues to improve every month with new platforms as options. For example, you can now post Youtube and Youtube Shorts directly from Riverside studio so there's no extra downloading and uploading. Big time saver and guarantees quality.
It's well priced for what you get! Better than hiring someone to do all this work for you or sub-contracting and waiting on their schedule.

What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps not what a traditional creative or producer, who wants to control EVERY aspect and detail, would prefer.
Cutting and pasting in the editing process lags at times.
There is no way to change volume levels for music with timing cues. With a more complex editor you would be able to fade volumes up and down at chosen points; this currently is not an available feature.
It would also better to be able to turn off AI suggestions and created content from automatic to requested.
Scheduling sessions using the Riverside calendar should not be a feature behind the paywall. With a low-tier membership you can still only schedule 3 events at a time so you'll need to plan your recordings on an external calendar of some kind.
The layout of Projects could be 'cleaner' and have a more organized interface.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves my sound quality concerns. It masters your sound automatically with AI and allows you adjust preferences for the finished sound. This cuts out the need for more expensive microphones, sound audio level boxes connected to your mic, or professional sound technicians.

Riverside.fm is the Way to Go When Creating and Editing Videos!!!
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy and requires no software from the client.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not free :) Of course, I know a premium product like Riverside can't be free, nor should it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't need to constantly update or upgrade costly video editing software. This is the main reason I stopped using Adobe products.

Impressive Video Features, Slight Learning Curve
What do you like best about the product?
We love the magic edit and the video capibilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still learning so sometimes I can't find something I'm looking for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I would like the video auto change from speaker to speaker even when in the same room.
Amazing recording features make it easy to just focus on having great conversations.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. I like the ability to just record and know that once done, Riverside will help me with the rest. Whether it's fixing audio or helping with clips, I've had a easy time getting used to it and making some great content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there wasn't a requirement for camera for a host to be seen in recordings. Guests should be allowed to use a profile picture and have it show up when speaking on the export of a video. Without a camera, you only see who was on camera and can only hear the guest without camera. Literally the only issue I have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ease of use. Riverside makes it easy for me to just focus on talking to my friends and having a good time. I know once done, Riverside will help me get the best out of my recordings.

Studio-Quality Podcasting Made Simple with Riverside
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside completely streamlined my podcast production. The local recording feature is a game-changer — it captures studio-quality audio and video even if a guest’s internet drops. I also love the built-in editor and automatic track separation, which save hours in post-production. The interface is clean, intuitive, and makes it easy to invite guests who aren’t tech-savvy. It feels like a professional studio in the cloud, and it’s helped me raise the production quality of my show without hiring an audio engineer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the upload process can take longer for longer sessions, and the automatic clip generator could use more customization options. It would be great if they offered deeper integration with tools like Descript or Notion for workflow automation. But these are small issues compared to the overall quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
maintaining professional quality without technical complexity. I no longer worry about poor internet connections, distorted audio, or lost recordings — everything is locally captured in high definition. It also eliminates the need for multiple tools by combining recording, editing, and clip creation in one platform. This lets me focus on storytelling and guest experience instead of production logistics. The result is a faster workflow, higher-quality episodes, and a more consistent publishing schedule for my podcast.
Effortless High-Quality Recordings and Time-Saving Editing Tools
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most is how easy it is to get high-quality recordings. I can't believe I've already published 13 episodes! The local recording feature is a lifesaver it means no more stressing about bad internet ruining an interview. Plus, the text-based editing and those little AI Magic Clips save me a ton of time on post-production.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much at all. It does so much for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside completely solves the problem of slow, technical editing.
Before, cleaning up an episode meant hours of tedious work in complex software, cutting out every 'um' and silence.
Now, with the text-based editing, I just delete the text in the transcript and the video/audio is instantly cut. Plus, the AI automatically cleans up my sound.
This benefit is huge! It has dramatically cut my post-production time, which is exactly why I've been able to easily release 13 episodes without feeling overwhelmed or burned out. It truly takes the complicated stuff out of the content creation process.
