What do you like best about the product?
I am in charge of customer marketing, and powerful testimonials are the main thing that keeps us alive. With the help of Riverside, we can create the content we need for the same, no matter where the customers are located. The local recording is what guarantees individual customer video and audio quality even if the internet connection is bad. Also, the customer's perspective can be used to record product demos and for that, the screen capture feature is very useful. Implementation was simple, and our customers consider the link-and-click process very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The recording room branding possibilities are very few. We would be able to add our logo and colors to make the brand experience more cohesive and familiar to our customers. When it comes to handling multiple recordings weekly, the act of downloading all the different audio and video files might make one feel as if the task is too manual. Also, I find the function of searching in my recordings repository a bit simple.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
By removing the risk and cost that go hand in hand with the production of customer video case studies, Riverside has done a great job. Moreover, it has been our experience that in case you want to get full, high-quality video files for each participant, it may take quite a few minutes, and thus you should make your time accordingly. There is also some slowness in the initial upload to the platform before the files can be processed, especially if your internet connection is not very good.

Given that video is their strength, the platform comes with just enough basic built-in editing tools for trimming, however, they don't have the quality of the video team for a high-quality final cut. We normally take the tracks export and editing separately. Videos in full resolution take up a lot of space which is great for the quality but you have to consider storage and transferring if the recordings are long. However, we had only one instance in which the service was down, and thus, we had to cancel the recording, which was quite frustrating, although it is mostly reliable.
