A Good First Step in Our Delivery Process for Client Work.

  • September 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
For about six to seven months now, I have been using Riverside almost every day as a Video Editor at a full-service video production company. We mainly do remote client interviews and testimonials that we use in commercials and branded content in the future. One key benefit is ease of use; our producers can set up a session with a client in minutes sending a link, requiring next to no technical implementation on their side. The best thing about this software is its separate high-quality WAV audio and video tracks. With little to no processing during the second machine’s output, my source files can flow straight into my editor for color grading and sound mixing, making the transition into our high-end workflows seamless. It regularly fixes the trouble with bad-quality source footage from remote recordings.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in editor is too simple for the final output. Therefore, we just use it to make rough cuts to send for approval. When working with a tight deadline, processing 4K video files can be quite time-consuming. On the few occasions we reached outto customer support, it seemed slower than we would have liked for a time-sensitive production issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before Riverside, we experienced low production quality when we conducted remote interviews. Standard video calls resulted in compressed files, which were unreliable and difficult to incorporate into professional edits. Our Riverside setup means we get broadcast-quality audio and video from each participant right from the start. We use it so regularly now in our remote captures that it saves us a significant amount of postproduction time not having to fix poor audio or pixelated video. We can seamlessly offer our “remote studio” service to clients using the most stable equipment available.

Unmatched Audio Quality for Enterprise-Level Customer Stories

  • September 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The local recording feature is the main reason we chose Riverside. Knowing that even if the internet connection falters, we still get a perfect quality recording gives us immense peace of mind. The video quality is also superb and perfectly in sync.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding for our less tech-savvy executive guests could be slightly smoother. A simpler, one-click guest link without any settings would be helpful, though the current process is manageable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We capture customer testimonial videos. Previously, poor audio from remote calls made our high-profile case studies look unprofessional. Riverside directly solves the audio and video quality problem. The benefit is that we can now confidently feature these stories in sales presentations and on our website, knowing they reflect our brand's quality.

The Quality and Ease of Use is Exactly What Our Marketing Team Needed

  • September 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The separate audio and video tracks are a lifesaver. It makes our post-production so much faster because we can clean up a cough or a background noise without affecting the video. The remote recording is incredibly stable; we've had zero dropouts even with international guests. The quality is consistently broadcast-level, which has elevated our entire content program.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in text-based editor is great for short clips, but for our long-form webinars, we still export to a dedicated editing suite for more advanced graphics. It's a minor workflow step, but something to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a reliable way to record high-fidelity podcasts and video interviews with remote thought leaders. Riverside solves the core problem of quality and reliability. The benefit is a polished, professional-looking final product that builds trust with our audience and has significantly reduced our editing time, allowing us to produce more content.

What do you like best about the product?
Incredibly easy to get started and learn. Intuitive enough for non-producers to get started and produce professional podcasts/video snippets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love some AI-powered editing to adjust lighting, facial features, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparing to launch our first podcast so just getting started but in the meantime, I've been using it to create high-quality video snippets from webinar recordings.

My Daily Editing Workhorse for a Year- Solid Economy

  • September 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I am a full-time video editor and have been using Riverside nearly daily for the past year editing client interview footage. What I depend on most are the individual audio and video tracks for each speaker. This means I can fix one person’s audio when it acts up fast, without having to edit the entire clip. "It’s plain in the browser -- to do basic cuts and eliminate silence, which does most of our early rough editing work. And then for what we paid into them, which was even less than it could have been thanks to a discount on our one-year renewal, it’s also definitely cost-effective for the minimum of editing that our team requires.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in editor is fIne for simple projects, but I still have to use a dedicated editing program for more complex work with graphics and long multi-camera sequences. And the amount of time it takes to process and then download those high-quality video files can sometimes put a bit of a damper on my workflow when I’m up against a deadline. I also wish there were more keyboard shortcuts in the platform itself to make editing even faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside does solve the issue of compiling clean, editable source files from remote recordings. Before we began using it, this allowed us to receive a single, compressed video file of conference calls that was impossible to use. Now I get them as individual, high-quality tracks that allow me far more control in post-production. This saves me so much time in the first edit, and translates into a more refined end product for our clients. It’s now a go-to first step for us in our default editing flows.

So easy

What do you like best about the product?
The system is very easy to use. After watching just one eight-minute video, I was able to start editing and accomplish everything I needed right away. I really appreciate the transcription feature and the magic voice options, as they save me a lot of time when creating podcasts and reels.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there’s a desktop app or some platform I can use this system from.
I wish there’s a way to cut, delete and make edits with keyboard shortcuts

No live agent to help with issues right away. Takes too long for help to respond
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use this tool for creating reels and generating transcriptions. It also offers editing options that allow me to make changes directly using the transcription.

The Basis for Our High-Converting Case Study and Ad Videos

  • September 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My job is to produce snappy case study videos and ad creative demonstrating the results we deliver our clients in the hospitality industry. By far the #1 feature for me is that of separate high fidelity audio, along with video. When I do conduct an interview with a client, Riverside provides me with a solid, isolated audio file for each participant. That is a game changer when editing; since I can easily take out background noise, balance volumes so that everybody sounds clear, professional having trustworthiness with prospects is key. The video quality is still sharp and steady, even when I’m sharing my screen to navigate through analytics dashboards. It offers raw material of a professional standard that allows us to work on the polished final results.
What do you dislike about the product?
The native editing tools on the platform work perfectly fine for quick social clips, but our full case studies always get exported to a dedicated video editor where I can make more advanced cuts, color grade and brand. And it can take a little longer to download several high resolution video tracks, which isn’t ideal when I’m on deadline. Also, I'd like to see more social media options for the exporting process as well as a separate video formatting GRANULAR settings for each individual social media network (but it would be neat if this was already implemented in Shotcut's export settings).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside addresses this issue of amateur looking source footage. In the past, client testimonial videos shot over Zoom sounded tinny and looked grainy, which detracted from our message. And now we write content that looks and sounds as premium as the services which we offer. This in turn helps us with growing by raising our perceived value as an agency and having better engagement on our case studies, and allows us to get high quality assets we can feel good about using for PPC purposes so we can generate higher quality leads.

New to podcasting

  • September 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
This is a quality platform that appears to be user-friendly, making it suitable for beginners.
What do you dislike about the product?
It isn’t a complete all-in-one platform yet, as there are still extra steps required in the workflow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’m able to record from any location without the need for any special equipment.

The one and only platform that delivers clinical-grade audio quality

  • September 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm limiting myself to the audio engineer perspective for a secure communication platform. We lean on Riverside to make training videos and internal announcements, which often require sensitive terminology. The MTLR is a necessity. The audio for each participant is recorded locally at 48kHz and this clean, isolated source lets me mix it and master with clinical precision. It is a bare minimum required of us. Quality is always ready for broadcast and I never have to worry about needing to pull in a singer because of audio artifacts or compression - a huge efficiency, given our tight production schedule. The one feature that clearly sets Riverside apart is the option to download uncompressed WAV files directly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The in-built audio editor is too simplistic and amateurish for any professional application; it’s ok if there’s some basic leveling to be done, but I need the parametric EQs, voice over processing and spectral analysis facilities. I never use the master items, only the individual songs on my dedicated DAW. To be sure, the service’s emphasis is strictly on video and audio settings are sometimes hidden behind menus that may take a few advance clicks to access. For me in my workflow, these are small niggle points … as the source quality is just so good!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problem Riverside addresses the core issue on unstable source audio. In a clinical setting, every word needs to make sense. Standard conferencing solutions compress audio heavily, which can blur clinical terms and lead to misunderstandings. Riverside ensures we are served a pure, unadulterated source from the recording date. This helps our firm to communicate clearly in all of our correspondence, which is a signature of our attention to detail while mitigating misinterpretation. It makes my post-production workflow so much more efficient, and I can spend more time improving audio rather than fixing it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the quality of video capture for meetings and the auto edits for short form and long form content. Its the best
