A consistent, solid workhorse for producing high quality ad content
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Riverside to record and edit video and audio for client ads and case studies. Best part, the quality is consistent. That’s good for the ads we run on platforms like YouTube and Meta, where we need to make sure everything sounds professional and professional-looking content cuts through,” Sioukas says. The individual tracks save my life; I can clean up a person’s audio if there is background noise and without affecting the others. The browser editor is plain. I can also easily trim the beginning and end of a clip, cut out uncomfortable silences and download the video or audio finished product to drop straight into our ad manager. It just flows and doesn’t get in the way of my workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The included editor is fine for basic, simple cutting but it’s not a fully featured video editing package. For more in-depth projects, I still have to download the individual tracks and work with them on dedicated editing software, which is an extra step. The processing time required to download those high-res video files can sometimes feel a little long when you’re working against the clock to get an ad live. And I think you could be more generous on the transcription credits for standard plan, since I like to use them for making captions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gets around bad source footage. Bad audio is something that you can’t fix in an edit, and Riverside has ensured we never need to try. This is particularly helpful for client testimonials: they’re frequently joining from their home office, and even if I’m not getting studio-quality audio from them, I can still get a clean file. The advantage of this is that now could create professional looking ad creative in-house and much cheaper than a studio. It makes our clients look good and lifts the perceived value of the ads we run, which I think helps answer better. It has developed into a more standard part of our creation of genuine marketing content.

Impeccable Monthly Board Reporting with Clear as Crystal Screen Captures
What do you like best about the product?
As a Project Manager, the main way that I use Riverside is to ensure that my section of our monthly board meetings are recorded and presented in an uncontroversial capacity – KPI dash boards, project timelines and financials from my screen. Many of the board members participate by videoconference, and these recordings must be flawless for the official record and for those not in attendance. The local recording of Riverside is the highlight. It captures my screen and presentation in crystal clear quality irrespective of my internet connection or the video quality of virtual attendees. I’m no longer anxious about a Wi-Fi hiccup spoiling an important presentation. And the ability to record 3 independent tracks of high quality; my microphone, system (PreSonus Crossroads), and screen is a time saver for editing. And if someone’s audio drops, I can easily make an adjustment without ruining the crystal-clear quality of my screen recording. It is the most accurate and professional one I have come across using for it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface for downloading the output assets after recording takes a bit to get used to, especially the first time. You have to find the recording, pick out the tracks you want and then process the export — a task that can be time-consuming for long, high-quality videos. It’s a mild aggravation we account for in our monthly use, but I’d prefer an export that requires only one click for the most typical format. Also, as accurate as the transcription may be, long board meeting recordings don’t offer quite the same actionability in an AI-generated summary as they do raw for me to quickly scan through what decisions were made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the fundamental archival integrity issue inherent to our board meetings. In the past we used standard webinar tools and recordings would frequently contain pixelated screen shares, audio that was out of sync or compression artifacts rendering data in spreadsheets and dashboard unreadable. This was a significant risk. I now have a perfect, broadcast-quality record of what is presented. This is great for me because it saves me any post-meeting anxiety about recording quality, shields me from the need to re-teach purposes demonstrated in grainy videos, and it offers my board a professional, reliable archive.” What it does is that every single dot, every visuals are brought in perfectly which is something not negotiable for me when it's comes to governance and decision making.
The Success Engineer. The Ultimate Weapon for Snapping and Trust-Driven Brand Stories.
What do you like best about the product?
As a CEO of modern fashion, authenticity and visual storytelling is everything. Riverside has transformed how we think about content creation. We use it mainly to capture high-fidelity interviews with our designers, behind-the-scenes footage of our team and real customers telling their stories. There is no better audio and video quality than what we can record locally of each participant, which means that every time we have broadcast-quality b-roll without a production crew. This quality output enables us to repurpose one interview into a social media clip, website piece, and email marketing content that matches production value of high-end agency work. It's also fantastic from a guest usability standpoint - they click on a link and are in the studio, so that really enables us to capture authentic moments from real people who may not be at all technical. It has really leveled up the quality and efficiency of our brand content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing tiers also feel somewhat restrictive for our specific use case. The features we actually need to be professional — 4K video, longer recording time — are part of a premium plan. The value is there, but it’s an investment for a growing brand. The interface for snipping and creating highlights within the platform is also functional, but feels a step behind the core recording experience. Usually we just download all the separate tracks and do a final polish in an NLE software this is our preferred workflow anyway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside fixes two important issues for us; content quality and operational efficiency. Prior to Riverside we were hamstrung by low-quality audio and video from traditional conferencing tools – everything looked amateurish. Now, we look professional and polished all the time. Secondly, it really simplifies our whole content creation process. What once took a trip to schedule a physical studio, a videographer and an editor can now be more natural with the inclusion of guests from afar. This agility enables us to respond quickly to trends and tell our story in real-time, cutting way down on time-to-market for our marketing campaigns while also establishing deeper trust with the audience through genuine, high-quality content.
Perfect tool for podcasting recording.
What do you like best about the product?
Makes professional studio recordings accessible. My friends and I had no experience recording, but Riverside made it super simple and helped us create a great product!
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall it was great. I think if there was a function that helped us set up in person recordings I would have liked that. We figured it out, but it took some creative problem solving.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Audio mixing and transcript generation.
Intuitive tool, great for small teams
What do you like best about the product?
We use Riverside for podcast production and other internal interview processes. It's easy to learn, cheap, and has a nice UI. The transcription feature is especially useful. It's also quite straightforward for external guests, since they don't have to create an account to log into the recording room. Overall, a great option.
What do you dislike about the product?
The AI clip suggestions are sometimes a little random and could be refined a little. Video subtitling is decent but the editing workflow needs to be improved. It would also be great if it integrated with Safari (currently only supports Chrome and Edge).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It eases up our podcast & video production.
Took our podcast abilities to a whole new level.
What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity to not just edit, but create shorts and long form podcast. The built in features really allow anyone to create a top tier show with a professional touch.
What do you dislike about the product?
There a newer AI feature that can help customize certain needs but can be tricky to ask the proper question to get the intended result. However, there have been improvements since it was first introduced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The AI function has so much potential and has gotten better since released. Would love to see the team allow for more customization with content grabs and request. At time the Co Creator feature doesn't produce what is requested but will say it has. For instance, if you request a thumbnail or snippet of a certain part of the discussion, it will produce it but not be related to the original request.
A Steady Workhorse to Create Quality Marketing Content
What do you like best about the product?
My marketing team, as DMMs, were using Riverside mostly to record and edit podcast episodes and video testimonials with clients. The one standout, however, is the high-quality separate audio tracks it records for each participant. This, in turn, makes editing the audio super-easy; if one guest’s microphone sucks it doesn’t ruin the whole thing. I can tidy it or delete entirely and it won’t affect other tracks. Ease of use for our guests is also a huge plus—the only thing they have to do is click on a link and connect, which cuts down on no-shows and IT support issues for us. The transcription feature is good enough that we can just about immediately pull quotes for social media and blog posts, saving us heaps of time.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves our largest problem: how to wring professional-sounding audio out of remote guests who are not broadcast professionals. Previously, we’d sometimes send compressed, messy audio from Zoom calls that was hard to clean up and did not sound professional. Now, we’re getting the kind of audio that, without exception, sounds as if everyone was in the same studio together and it has raised our brand’s level of perceived quality. It has simplified our workflow for all of content production. We can shoot a client testimonial and have an audio file, video file and functioning transcript - that can be repurposed into countless marketing assets on our website within 60 minutes. This efficiency enables my small team to punch above our weight and stay on a steady content calendar.
Top-Tier Recording Quality and Easy Collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside delivers consistently high-quality video and audio. Sharing raw files with my editor is seamless. The built-in editing tools are intuitive and make it easy to clean up recordings quickly when I need to.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasional guest setup issues create minor delays, and it’s easy to forget to stay on the platform until uploads are confirmed. We’ve never lost files, but it can be stressful until everything shows complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the problem of poor-quality remote recordings. Unlike Zoom, it delivers studio-grade audio and video that make my interviews and content look professional. This helps me stand out, build credibility with my audience, and save time on post-production because the raw files are already so clean.
A Reliable Workhorse for Producing High-Quality Marketing Content
What do you like best about the product?
My team (Digital Marketing Manager) uses Riverside primarily to record and edit podcast episodes and video testimonials with clients. The standout is the solid separate audio tracks it records for each of the participants. This makes audio editing child's play; one faulty guest microphone isn't going to destroy the entire recording. It's easy to clean up, or I can take it all out without bumming the other tracks. The guest experience is also a huge benefit - they just click a link and join (which translates to fewer no-shows and tech support nightmares for us). The transcription functionality provides enough accuracy that we can pull quotes for social media posts and blog articles quickly-It's saved us a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
The in-house editing tools are helpful for quick fixes, but for our final polish, we almost always export the files out into specialized software. The interface is less intuitive when it comes to clipping and creating short-form video content than dedicated platforms. The transcription can be good, but still needs an attentive proofing for industry jargon or names. I also find the pricing plans a bit inflexible for what we need - I wish there were more flexibility around functionality features at the core recording and transcription level without needing all the top tier extras.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves our number one problem: getting broadcast-quality audio out of remote guests who are not audiophiles. Previously we’d receive compressed, messy audio from Zoom calls and it was challenging to clean this up and make it sound professional. Now, our brand's perceived quality is higher, because we always sound like everyone was in one studio together. It’s been a game-changer for our entire content production process. Within one hour, we can capture a client testimonial and have a clean audio file, with video and a live transcript that you could then take and turn into 20 different marketing assets. This is also what allows my small team (it’s just me and one other person) to punch above our weight and keep ourselves on a content schedule that makes sense.
