Riverside is a great platform for my podcast!
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside makes it incredibly easy to hop into a recording. My favorite feature is how it saves a recording of each person directly on their device for easy upload and safety. It also backup a low-res version to the cloud JUST incase which I had to use once and was so thankful for!
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish their AI features were included in the base price but with a limit on the amount of times you can use it. I should also be able to access my interview transcriptions for free, I mean come on, its my show!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All in one server with all of my recordings, no need to keep them on a hard drive!

What do you like best about the product?
I’ve been using Riverside for our Everyday Ham podcast for about three years, and I continue to be impressed with how the platform evolves. They consistently roll out new features and keep the platform well maintained. The biggest strength is how simple it is for guests to join—basically like hopping on a Zoom or Teams call, so there’s no learning curve. The studio tools are helpful, and the real value comes from local recording. Having audio and video captured on each person’s computer and uploaded after the session keeps the final quality high, which is critical for a podcast. I feel the subscription price matches the value you get.
What do you dislike about the product?
The built-in editor could use improvement. It often feels clunky, with lag or even freezing during use. Because of that, I usually end up exporting files and editing them in Adobe Premiere instead. While it’s not a deal breaker, smoothing out the editing experience would make Riverside much stronger as an all-in-one solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the challenge of recording high-quality podcast audio and video with remote guests. Before using it, we struggled with call quality and dropouts on standard meeting platforms. With Riverside’s local recording, we don’t have to worry about internet issues affecting the final product. It saves us time in editing and gives us a professional-level result without needing a studio setup. This allows us to focus on creating content and growing our Everyday Ham podcast rather than troubleshooting technical issues.

Keeping high quality recordings on local devices will lead to heavy file sizes. After a long session, you’ll need a good internet connection and enough storage on your computer to download the separate high-res tracks. It doesn't download right away, but it's worth the wait for the quality. Learning Curve of Full Feature Set Riverside's basic screen record function is quite simple. However, getting used to the multi-track editing in Riverside’s editor or a similar program like Adobe Premiere has some learning curve. However, the payoff in editorial control is massive.

With the software, professionals can create screen recordings and podcasts that have studio-quality without any technicality. I don’t have to worry about a bad connection ruining an important job anymore.Editing Issues: The separate audio and video tracks address the problem of taking up a lot of time editing out interruptions, coughs or audio de-sync issues from a single merged file. The CEO is the company brand; through their words, the whole company is painted. The Riverside enhances the sharpness, clearness and the confidence of my product demo and presentations.

For a recording of this quality you will need much more storage in a digital computer or in external music storage system. After a download, you will need a stable internet connection and additional space to hold those files. A little waiting time is a good thing in order to gain the right quality.

What do you like best about the product?
This software makes it fast, simple and easy to record edit and upload all in the same day. It used to take me hours to edit and I dreaded it. Now it’s quick and easy with so much more capability.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I have had trouble with so far has been the exporting. It could be my computer but I’m not sure.

That I am not sure. I haven’t been made aware of any.

Riverside makes my podcast possible. As a stay-at-home dad and husband, I don’t have hours to wrestle with tech, and I don’t need to. Recording, editing, and producing are all fast, simple, and the quality is amazing. It lets me focus on creating Crass feat. Class while still being present with my family. Couldn’t recommend it more.

My only complaint? Riverside makes it so quick and easy that my wife thinks I should have time to fold laundry right after recording. At this rate, I’ll be producing podcasts and scrubbing sippy cups in the same hour.

What do you like best about the product?
The local recording + upload process is simple and so easy for guests. It ensures the best possible quality. The AI tools on the video editing software is also fantastic. Speeds up the process tremendously!
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though the AI tools are fantastic in the editor, the actual editor itself is VERY clunky. I often have to drop into Premier to fine tune. I would LOVE a local app for just the editing component so I can leverage the speed and dependability of my editing rig. I think the AI processing would be faster and even better if it was able to use my local computer.
It's very hard to cut, splice, and fine-tune edit clips. I often just leave it as "good enough" but would like the ability to take it the final 10% in-app.

What do you like best about the product?
Oh my gosh so many things. The best part for me is the ability for each attendee to have their own recording sent to the host as a track. This helps alleviate so much pixelation and graininess. I also love the editing features.
What do you dislike about the product?
I love it all. Can't wait for the podcast distribution via RSS to be enabled for everyone.

Game Changer for Social Media
What do you like best about the product?
Where do I start? The ease of getting guests into your sessions, the ability to add a producer, stream to a live audience, audio editing, Riverside does it all. I am able to record a podcast, edit the audio, and generate social media clips all from the ease of a few clicks. Not only is the free version worth it, but the paid subscription will truly unlock the next level of your pages. With the ability to add a brand kit, you can edit the video for social media with the clock of a button. Hate those incorrect subtitles? Riverside makes it so easy to edit subtitles and ensure accuracy for your fanbase. This program is a literal 10/10!

I can’t say I dislike anything about the program.

So many times we would need to use other programs and hope the guests would have the software. With Riverside, you just share a link and they join from their browser. It’s so simple. While I know adobe programs, riverside has made audio, video, and subtitle editing so easy that I have all but abandoned my adobe programs for Riverside.
Transformative for Remote Video Production
What do you like best about the product?
As the owner of an IT services start-up, Riverside has been backing our video marketing for a little over a year now. The platform is just incredibly easy to use, and drag and drop editing will be easy for anyone to pick up. It was easy and fast to set up (took an hour or 2) and it integrates seamlessly with our calendar apps such as Google Calendar. Good customer service - it is genuine and really supplements their contributions. We use it on a regular basis, every other week or so for thought leadership pieces, and the features including real-time collaboration tools are just perfect for us. It’s easy to integrate with storage options (like Dropbox) and this has helped keep us organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
One little downside: The learning curve with advanced AI features took a couple of attempts to get the hang of, but tutorials are available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside deals with the snags that (still) come with sketchy remote tools, and a cumbersome editing process.Or at least, it tries. It’s been great for us from an operational sense as it allows us to cut through 45% of our turn around time that being a software CEO is important, be more agile when it comes to content strategy and to get a better ROI from integrations such as social media schedulers like Buffer to get our content to be hit the ground faster and drive or costumer engagement and business development.
