Fantastic product with consistent improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Fantastic software for recording video, editing, and creating short form content. The new AI mode is wonderful and saves so much time in the editing process. Been using them for years and I love to see all the new features that roll out on a consistent basis. Highly recommend!
What do you dislike about the product?
Slight lag when recording live but have seen significant improvements here. Worth it for the high quality final product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy editing for a non technical person. I can make high quality professional videos super easily.
High-quality recordings and quick social clips
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to get high-quality video and audio every time. The premade clips feature is a huge time-saver and helps me get content out to social media fast. Guests can join without a hassle, and local recording means I never lose quality to internet issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to batch delete my edits or premade clips so I could quickly generate new ones.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None currently
Complete and intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
Love the intuitive UI, the many features, the ease of use. The AI-powered elements are also very impressive - and useful!
What do you dislike about the product?
The time it takes to process can sometimes be a bit long

Local recordings and helpful AI editing is the best!
What do you like best about the product?
Local recordings not only keep the audio and video crisp despite bandwith issues, being able to download the local audio and video has saved my show on occasion when we experienced lag during the interview. The helpful AI editing is the best! I especially like the AI editor being able to automatically display a full screen shot of the person speaking and tastefully add side-by-side shots to keep things interesting. The AI Magic audio feature also helps when my guests do not have a professional microphone. The price is also better than Streamyard.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the AI features seem to now be locked behind a higher tier. Some of the editing features are not intuitive and requires a stronger learning curve than I initially anticipated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need something better than Zoom to record local audio and video for my remote guests and Riverside does tha well and for less money that StreamYard.
So easy to get a podcast started
What do you like best about the product?
Magic clips, AI editing for the videos/audios especially for a newbie like myself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a cheaper product in the market but the quality is good to justify the pricing, nothing I dislike about it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making it easy for anyone wanting to start content creation, the pro module allows for ai editing which means I dont have to be an expert to create high quality content.
Riverside has turned out to be reliable for my forst 90 podcasts - Hoping it keeps getting better
What do you like best about the product?
I like the fact that it's not Zoom, it's an online studio, which makes it special.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the challenges for some people is getting into the studio. I would say it is an issue 10% of the time due to their operating system - their audio set-up - etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quality recordings - professional look.
The technology of recording in 4K is brilliant. Nothing compares.
What do you like best about the product?
4K recording. Nice dashboard. Easy interface
What do you dislike about the product?
The risk of losing the recording if you exit the app before the upload is complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capturing my content live in 4K and recorded in 4K without having to download it to a hard drive
User- and amateur-friendly af
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is super intuitive and easy to use. It's also just fun! I've never recorded webinars before and I'm really enjoying it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not yet encountered any downsides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the issue of not having a professional studio or tons of money to pay for professional standalone editing software. I needed to get my webinars recorded and polished fast, and Riverside does that.
This App Is Built for Creatives by Creatives for sure!
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Riverside makes me feel like I’m in the room with my guests, even when we’re across time zones, sipping tea from different corners of the world. For Cup of Honest Tea, that intimacy matters. I’m not just recording conversations; I’m holding space. And Riverside gives me clean, reliable audio + video that lets me stay in the moment instead of babysitting tech. The platform feels like it’s built for storytellers, those of us who need both substance and style.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly? The interface could be a little less clunky when switching between past recordings and shows. Sometimes it takes a few extra clicks to find what I need quickly, especially when I’m batch recording or juggling back-to-back sessions. It’s not a dealbreaker, but streamlining the backend dashboard would make the whole experience feel as smooth as the recording quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside solves the “please-don’t-glitch-while-I’m-getting-vulnerable” problem. As a host, I’m asking real people to open up about rejection, overworking, identity, and imposter syndrome. I can’t afford to lose connection...literally or emotionally. Riverside gives me peace of mind with high-quality recordings that stay stable even when the internet acts up. That reliability lets me stay grounded and fully present with my guests.
It also cuts down my editing time, which is a huge win when I’m juggling client ops, photography work under DAG Images, and building out my digital shop. With Riverside, I’m not wasting hours fixing audio hiccups. I’m capturing clarity in real time. That’s priceless.

Happy Newbie
What do you like best about the product?
AI editing features of eliminating vocal pauses and pauses, inviting guests through Google calendar, the handy-dandy prep sheet for guests, adjusting track volumes, storage, not limit on recording time, easy upload of content, helpful 'how to' and product update videos
What do you dislike about the product?
I may have missed it, but when I purchased a subscription, a quick help sheet of the ten most used features of podcasting [or whatever use of Riverside I selected I would be using it for] would have been so very helpful. Riverside is marketed to us as, let's be honest, "Podcasting for Dummies." Which is good, I need it, I am a dummy at podcasting. But us dummies need a reversed FAQ! Because we do not know what questions to ask.
All the we would need to do is select why we got the subscription/what we are going to use it for and then is lead to a page of the 10 most used features for that purpose and then click on the one we need to know more about and there are the instructions.
