Video Editing Without the Overwhelm
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside's editing system is surprisingly robust for something browser based. I can highlight sentences and delete them, and it instantly edits the video and audio together. It's clean, quick, and doesn't require downloading large files or using separate apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love more storage space in the free plan
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I produce weekly content and this tool has cut my time in half. The experience feels tailor made for content creators like me.
Any Podcaster's dream
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm is a powerhouse for podcasters who care about quality and editing flexibility. It records each participant locally in high resolution, giving you separate audio and video tracks — ideal for clean editing and social media repurposing. Its Magic Editor and Clips tool make it easy to punch out reels and highlights quickly, though detailed edits still require bringing files into Premiere or Descript. Upload times can lag, and multi-cam setups require workarounds like OBS, but for remote interviews and studio-quality sound, it’s hard to beat. Overall, it’s a smart investment for podcasters who want pro-grade results without overcomplicating the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The best thing about this question is the fact that ever complaint I have ever had, Riverside fixed and implemented for me and the rest of their users. It makes leaving the service harder and harder every week.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
They solved clip creating issues, they solved clip cutting to different speakers & the safari support is icing on top.
Flawless Audio for Voice First Creators
What do you like best about the product?
I've tried professional DAWs and USB interfaces, but Riverside gave me almost the same clarity with zero setup headache. Recording audio tracks locally means no delay, echo, or signal loss. The quiet background and clean voice isolation are incredible.
What do you dislike about the product?
Riverside.fm, no real time EQ or reverb effects yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've recorded multiple chapters for audiobook clients using Riverside and they are blown away by the quality especially considering I wasn't in a booth.
Great platform ,easy to use.
What do you like best about the product?
I had never hosted a podcast before, and I would not describe myself as well. Especially tech savvy. With riverside, I am able to easily record episodes and post them to spotify and other platforms. My podcast is now ranked as one of the top ten for business insurance. I believe that is in no small part due to the quality of the recordings and the ease with which i'm able to share content.
What do you dislike about the product?
It just requires a little bit of patience while your episode is loading. Other than that I have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me to get timely and relevant content out to my audience on a regular basis.
Best Lightweight video Editing Platform for Teams
What do you like best about the product?
I can cut entire interview reels into short clips in minutes with the transcript editor. The automatic captions are accurate, and the UI makes it super easy to preview and export without needing advanced editing skills.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish I could manually adjust caption timings for more precision.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I manage multiple clients social accounts and Riverside.fm makes editing so efficient that I'm finally ahead of schedule. No Premiere or final cut needed for 80% of what I do now.
A Creator’s Ally: Smooth Content Creation That Actually Helps You Grow
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside.fm has become an essential tool in my content creation workflow. What I value most is how it eliminates friction: you can jump straight into creating, without worrying about technical hurdles or feeling "not ready." The platform feels designed to help you become the creator you aspire to be, even if you're starting out with doubts, insecurities, or no team behind you.
Its interface is intuitive, the quality of local recordings is outstanding, and the ability to generate short clips from long-form recordings is a game-changer, especially when you're building for platforms like YouTube, Spotify, or even Instagram. It truly lowers the barrier to entry and empowers you to hit “record” and just go.

What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing might feel high at first, especially for individual creators or small teams. That said, the value becomes apparent the more you use it. However, there are areas where Riverside could still evolve.
It would be incredibly useful to have built-in analytics — visual dashboards showing metrics like engagement hotspots, speaking time per guest, or even suggestions to improve pacing or delivery. Integrations with platforms like YouTube and Spotify could also help users better understand their content’s performance post-publication.
Additionally, being able to publish directly from Riverside would save time. Imagine auto-publishing full episodes or clips to platforms like YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram without having to download, edit, and upload manually. Those kinds of integrations would take the platform to the next level for creators who are looking to scale efficiently.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm removes friction from the recording process and makes it easier to stay consistent with content creation. It helps me overcome creative hesitation and saves me time by automating parts of the production workflow, like clip creation. This allows me to focus more on storytelling and connecting with my audience, rather than dealing with technical challenges.
Focus on creating, not on wrestling software
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside's software seems like it's created by creators for creators. Super easy to use and offers helpful tips in context as you use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main thing I dislike is the pricing for anything other than the basic service. As soon as you start wanting features like being able to have a producer on sessions with you, it gets much more expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside makes it easy for us to record and product podcasts. I particularly like how it speeds up the editing workflow and creation of social clips.
Screen Capture Quality That Rivals Desktop Apps
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who records detailed code walkthroughs, I need sharp video quality that captures every pixel. Riverside handles this Perfectly. The screen Captures are lag-free and high resolution, and the separate video tracks for camera and screen are great for editing flexibility.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be helpful to have zoom and pan effects built in for editing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside feels like it was built for tech educators. It delivers smooth, sharp, and editable footage every time.
Live Steamed Training That Looks Like a Studio Broadcast
What do you like best about the product?
The production quality of our internal live trainings has improved drastically. We now stream directly to our company portal using Riverside, and the local recording ensures even people with bad internet connections come through clean in the final version.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would love native support for PowerPoint or slide uploads during the stream
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Feedback from staff has been overwhelmingly positive-they love the improved clarity and polish. Our engagement metrics have gone up since making the switch.
Incredible Audio Quality for Remote Podcasting
What do you like best about the product?
This tool allows me to record crystal clear audio even when guests join on spotty internet. The magic lies in the local recording, which keeps everything crisp I can also download WAV files for editing in audition, which is perfect for my post production needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some guests are confused by mic permissions when joining for the firs time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My show now sounds like its recorded in a pro studio, even though my guests are often halfway across the world. I've never had fewer audio issues.
