A Wonderful Way to Podcast, Collaborate & Edit
What do you like best about the product?
You get good sound quality for solo projects and excellent sound files for participants who are recording from their phones and laptops, but they can also access your account.
What do you dislike about the product?
Make sure you're noting if you want your file to be a sound-only or sound and video. Luckily, when I made that mistake, it was on a short take for the podcast. .
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can record multiple people at a time or have them in different locations or states and still have them sound like they're in the same room.
Highly Recommend For New & Established Podcasters
What do you like best about the product?
What is most helpful is the fact that they make the process of recording episodes super easy. I love how they have options to walk you through everything for those that are new to riverside and just using it for the first time. I also appreciate the fact that they offer quite alot of features for those who are on the free plan.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I would say is no helpful is the pricing for me. So I would love to one day switch to a paid plan to get access to more features but as a start up podcaster I have no funds coming in to be able to cover those fees monthly. So unfortunately that means I won’t be able to have access to other features that will help to improve and enhance my audio and video.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It’s definitely helping me with having a platform and space to freely record both audio and video and there able to help you share your finished upload of your episodes to other platforms like YouTube and many more.
Great software!
What do you like best about the product?
I say that Riverside is the Easy Button for new podcasters. I've only been recording for a couple months and to me, it has been super easy, works well. Overall, I really like the platform. It's inexpensive, and drops my episodes straight into my podcast host. I am glad I was able to find it!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really have anything I dislike. It works well. Maybe the only thing is that it takes a little while for shows to export, but really it's been a great software choice for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are wanting to raise awareness of the needs of children in foster care. We are also trying to connect foster parents to available resources, and through our new podcast we are achieving this goal.
Helps me recording quality podcasts!
What do you like best about the product?
Affordable, easy to use, lots of features
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to have an external mic for software to pick up quality audio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside allows me to confidently film all my podcast episodes!
Riverside- One Stop Shop for New Comers and Seasoned Pros
What do you like best about the product?
I was always intimidated by video editing tools and disliked the quality of video conferencing solutions for recorded discussions (whether podcast, round table, or just organic conversations).
Riverside allowed me to use a tool to upload existing video content and make it something special. It also allows me to record natively in the application and bring guests in without too much complexity
I find it plays nicely with assets I create in other platforms and makes editing accessible for those of us who do not come from that world.
I use Riverside weekly and will continue to leverage this for my recently launched podcast series. I have to have to leverage customer service, so I cannot speak to that.
There is no implementation per se, it is a web application.

What do you dislike about the product?
Very little. I would love a way to create thumbnails similar to what Riverside creates natively if you record in the app. Also, a preview of the final quality before exporting would be nice.
There are times it slows down, but only if I am trying to do too much at once (which could also be on my side).
The magic clips are nice, but the feature is only a starting point and requires full editing to perfect it, which is both a good and bad (good because it forces a human in the loop, bad because it is a marketed feature but falls a bit short).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It creates an accessable approachable solution to video editing allowing me to create on brand content that does not feel like an amateur created it. It allows me to get transcripts, shorts, etc to support my brand messaging and marketing. It has also allowed me to confidence to break into podcasting even though I have my own production partner I still depend on riverside to do my personal edits and perfect the product.
Riverside.fm for the win
What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to use. I learned how to record, edit, and make clips within my first use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that there was a way to correct my eyes if I’m looking at a script similar to how Descrpt does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of recording a video podcast that includes AI to edit and generate clips.
We love Riverside!
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is such an easy platform to use, and all of our podcast guests love that! We love how there are always new features coming out.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not had very many complaints about Riverside!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The recordings are so much clearer than our old platforms.
Reliable Platform for Pro-Level Recording
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, the local recordings on this platform are crystal clear, even when I've got guests calling in from all over. And you know what? The interface is just a dream. I can get a session up and running in no time flat. Plus, those built-in AI transcriptions and speaker tracks? Total lifesaver for editing – it's like having a whole studio right here in my browser. Seriously impressed!
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop app is generally great, but I've noticed it can sometimes get a little laggy compared to the web version. It's those moments during a live session when things just... hiccup a bit and throw off the rhythm.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I started using Riverside.fm, running my podcast felt like a never-ending juggling act. Between scheduling guests, dealing with choppy recordings, editing everything, and then trying to come up with content for social media it honestly felt more like a second job than a passion project. But Riverside really changed the game for me. It records everything in high quality right on each person’s device, so I don’t have to stress about someone’s Wi-Fi messing things up. The AI tools are also a lifesaver they help me knock out transcripts and pull short clips in no time. It’s taken a huge load off my plate and made the whole process actually enjoyable again.
Simple, seamless, and works great in our exiting workflow.
What do you like best about the product?
We love that you can edit episodes in multiple sessions unlike other tools where you need to complete your edits in one session. We also like the editing capabilities in-browser which eliminate the need to use a dedicated editing software.
What do you dislike about the product?
We haven't had any negative experiences using the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping us streamline our podcast production from scheduling and production to editing and promotion.
Super easy to use and very straight forward.
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it is easily navigable! Very fast downloads.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes my mic doesn’t connect correctly to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It saves me from using up space on my phone when recording.
