Highly recommend Riverside for Remote Podcast Recording
What do you like best about the product?
It works. They are constantly adding new features to improve the customer experience further and it shows. I even started editing my video podcasts in Riverside and am happy with the result.
Also, it's easy to use which is especially important since podcasting is already very time intensive!

What do you dislike about the product?
You cannot blur the background when video podcasting. I think that would be a nice to have.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with remote recording and you can download two tracks which is exteremely helpful if you need to make more edits. They are also adding more and more AI features constantly improving their quality.
Our solution for podcast recordings
What do you like best about the product?
We have loved using Riverside for our podcast video recordings. The quality and the ease of use are terrific. The quality is great. No complaints so far!
What do you dislike about the product?
My only complaint is that when two people are side by side, I can't always ensure that we are looking at the camera so that the end result is strong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to use Zoom but the video quality wasn't as good, and the files had to be stored locally which wasn't ideal if Internet access was an issue for any party.
Enables content creation in a hybrid world
What do you like best about the product?
The fact Riverside records locally on your device has been a game changer for us. It allows us to record high quality content without the restrictions of bad internet connection. Something I really value when editing clips together.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think people struggle with the fact we have to access Riverside.fm through Google Chrome, as we are so used to using MS Teams at the moment. For me I would love for each person to have their own link to access a studio so that the different sessions automatically categorise, but being able to identify them by name in the recordings makes this just as easy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
During COVID, like many people, I started creating content for our staff. Much of this content was created through MS Teams, Skype etc but we were always at the mercy of bandwidth and internet connection. Riverside.FM gave us the ability to create high quality content for our people in a time of uncertainty, allowing us to connect with them further.
Creating Live Content made Easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love that if there's a delay on my end or vice versa, Riverside will automatically keep recording locally so theres no buffer on the back end.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software can be glitchy and require users to reupload their clips MULTIPLE times or just cut off recording all together.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a much better solution than recording on Zoom
Riverside is a value-add!
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is simple to use and genuinely fair it what it provides at all price points. It will be a staple in how I operate from this point forward. I have already recommended the app to several people.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is only one feature I wish it had, and that's the ability for people to watch replays on the app exclusively, which is more like a Vimeo function. Having to download the videos to publish them elsewhere is fine, and helpful that Riverside isn't trying to function as a social media app, but there is definitely a benefit to having the option for the content stay local to Riverside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a simple solutiong to hosting calls, performing consultations, and podcast or workshop content. It helped me create a system that makes serving my clients and small audience less of a strain. This makes me more productive and able to achieve more in my journey.
Riverside is a life and time saver!
What do you like best about the product?
Quailty audio and video files at our finger tips! This has been a huge time saver for us, espcially repurposing content.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say disklike, would love to have more options with fonts in the captions section for socail media clips.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
catupuring high quailty vidoes. In the past we used Zencaster and it was not always consistent.
Great product. Regular updates and enhancements. Stellar support.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform makes it incredibly easy to conduct interviews remotely. Storing the video locally helps to prevent hiccups that spotty internet connections can cause. It is a robust solution, and they actively accept enhancement requests and often implement that quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Currently, you cannot edit the transcripts. I have heard that this feature is coming, but currently you are stuck with the AI interpretation of what was said. My interview topic has odd words that typical AI would not understand, so it's difficult for me to use the built-in captioning function.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Riverside.fm provides an all in one solution for recording, editing, and producing video content for my podcast. I don't have to rely on multiple vendors, so having a streamlined workflow is enormously helpful and time-saving.
Love Riverside
What do you like best about the product?
Riverside is easy to use and gives me a quality recording. I like having a transcript of my interviews. This is especially helpful when editing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't taken full advantage of all of the features of Riveside so am not yet in a position to comment on anything that I dislike. So far so good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a YouTube channel and am recording interviews
If I can do it - you can too!
What do you like best about the product?
As someone who is a complete beginner at video podcasting I was nervous about which platform to choose - I am so glad that I chose Riverside as I've found it to be intuitive and user friendly and I was able to host & publish my first video podcast within 24hours of first using riverside!
There is loads of online information and video tutorials to help work through different aspects of the platform and while I know I am just scratching the surface of what's possible, I feel that my first podcast episode went really well and the quality is brilliant - I love that you can make shorts for youtube all integrated and publish direct to Spotify too - basically I love it!

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, once I'd got my head around the software I found it easy to use - I think the most difficult thing I found was understanding that this is more about live recording and then editing afterwards which the software makes easy!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I run a social enterprise called Our Creative Connection - it brings me into contact with some wonderful people doing wonderful work, the video podcast is a way of connecting with people and sharing learning, celebrating the work that people are doing and ultimatley positioning myself and my organisaiton as a thought leader in the world of Participatory Photography - in short: it's helping me to promote my work too!
Have had an amazing experince with Riverside making podcasting easy!
What do you like best about the product?
One thing that has made it so much easier for me is the ability to clip episodes up with speed!
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when doing live recordings even though it records separate tracks that it freezes during recordings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I wasnt able to get a ton of guest, being able to do a podcast from where ever helped!
