Email on Steroids

  • March 10, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love the document management functions and databases that make this system much more useful than ordinary email systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
The name and address book could use some improvement, especially inputting information from an e-mail - the limited pop-up is useless.

The lack of useful links between email and document databases. For instance, I may want to mix emails and documents in a document database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a private investigative firm and use Domino databases for our case notes and some documents. We are now incorporating AI into our development and will be outputting AI developed content into Domino.

I find some features implemented really userful like DAOS improvements for better space usage, management of TLS certificates, default login redirect and better forms, change pasword and possibility of rebuild views.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need to implement new featur to use large files, find some way to make better performace, get into debug for locked dabases and better debug of imap protocols and loosing mail or files attachments.

I use HCL domino for documents and storage to be able to manage all the office workflow archive and store data from paper width scanner and be able to search documents over application.

Hands down, still the best low code collaborative system

  • February 23, 2023
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Domino gets you to market faster than anything else. Literally in a few hours a server can be setup - and a fully functioning xpage form application can be capturing data, and passing it through your workflow. - and it scales easily to hundreds of thousands of documents.

Full JavaScript, JAVA, LotusScript and C API to process forms / documents workflows all within a robust security framework, lets you collaborate and integrate with almost any system on the planet that has an API.
What do you dislike about the product?
It take a little bit to learn about how it works. It is a document database very similar to mongodb - you have to know the key differences between a relational data store and a document data store.

Also dislike that marketing is poor, its as if they have never used it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer support, Product Documentation, Policies and Procedures are just a few things we use Domino for. It integrates and communicates with our end-user platform (MongoDB) and Stripe (payment gateway) We could use a hubspot and bunch of other expensive tools, but it would be a haphazard mess of websites that are very difficult to collaborate with and are virutally uncustomizable. Domino lets us customize our flow to what our customers need - and it does it at lightspeed.
