Great collaboration tool

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many different templates, it's live editing which works great for teams (we can work from different places and still work real-time together). We use it at least a couple times a week, if not every day. Pretty easy to figure out if no one teaches you how to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's hard to remember which page (chart vs spark) has which features, so I'll spend time looking for the wrong thing on the wrong page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us organize our thoughts and research into one document, which then leads us further along our process of either creating our plan, building assets we need, etc. It's the first step in the process, so using Lucid to accomplish that first step is helpful.

Use Lucid for setting up high level architecture diagrams to support a client.

What do you like best about the product?
Pretty easy to set up process flows and have my team make edits simultaneously to the same breakout board while in brain-storming sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first the breakout boards section is confusing to me on how to navigate to different ones from the home screen. Also, we accidentally set up two workspaces, and I wanted to copy a breakout board from one workspace into the other, but there was not a simple way to do that. Instead I had to copy everything, then paste into a new board in the desired workspace. That worked out just fine, but would've been cool to import a given breakout board from one workspace to another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Illustrate high-level architecture for a client's DevOps team. The ability to create easy-to-read diagrams with appropriate colors and connecting dependencies, and to be able to export into a pdf and share with the client led us to utilize Lucid.

What do you dislike about the product?
You should work on navigating through different stuff/charts. AS well as sesitivity of elements
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is helping the whole organization like us to work collaboratively on single process/document

Great UI, Easy to Learn/Use Effectively

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and tools are definitely much better than the competition. I tried a few different products in my diagramming projects and Lucid was the most comprehensive and easiest to use. Being able to utilize actual icons from the associated companies (Oracle, Google, etc.) was a huge plus, adding a visually validating flow of my efforts that made sense for my client audience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like the background grid to be something that I could snap to the center of my objects. When I am drawing out the diagram, sometimes it is difficult to see whether or not I am utilizing the appropriate spacing. The visual keys that pop up are nice and make it useful, just not as easily done with the naked eye when the grid is a bit off. Being able to snap it to my objects (or vice versa) and adjusting the grid size would be nice (this may be possible but I had not been able to find the feature). I think there could be some improvements on the ability to copy the style of objects to others. Objects with multiple colors and having only one of the colors be editable doesn't really align with our own company theme since it chooses an uneditable complimentary color automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to effectively diagram our technical architecture utilizing the icons native to the associated parent companies makes for a visual easily followed by clients.

Easy, Intuitive way to visualize workflow

  • May 27, 2025

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use that Lucid Chart provides with its interface makes it our go to visualization tool. It integrates really well into Confluence which is our documentation tool, making it easy for the company to quickly understand the topic in hand. Lucid charts lets us implement various feature workflows. Various teams can come together in order to collaborate on a topic and bounce ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recently I came across the issue of licensing limitation where I would have to request a read/write access license instead of a read-only one. I would expect for corporate licenses, every user by default gets a license so that it doesn't delay the process or create a hurdle while defining charts or workflows
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of the times we need a visualization tool to better explain the software workflow of a new process that needs to be implemented. Lucid Chart lets us quickly put that on a chart and share that with the team as well as let others collaborate on the same page to come up with the most agreed upon solution.

Interactive Collaboration Tool

What do you like best about the product?
Our team uses Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite for our weekly checkpoints. The tool allows each team member to choose a color and then post updates on their progress from the past week. The site allows all of us to collaborate and then discuss the current programs and creates a structure that helps the call flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
The number of features was overwhelming when we first started using these tools. Slowly our team has learned and grown to adopt the various capabilities, but for new users its definitely helpful to start simply.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite provides a seamless forum for our team to structure their work and talk to colleagues by flagging areas that are delayed or need other help.

    Marketing and Advertising

Lucid is an engaging tool that promotes creativity and organization.

What do you like best about the product?
It allows me to get all my thoughts in one spot.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be difficult to find something specific I wrote down when there is so much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is solving the need for our team to be able to collaborate in one space and have all of our thoughts in one known space. Lucid does just that.

Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is perfect for team collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how it is possible to collaborate in real time for working through different projects. We've done fishbone diagrams and deadline timelines and it has been extremely easy to use as well as there being no lag between putting in elements or writing in certain things.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that sometimes certain functions are not intuitive, such as the random double clicking being a sticky note, or lines connecting to each other randomly and being unable to really manipulate them to be where you want them to be (or it automatically drags textboxes with it, or makes all other lines diagonal instead of horizontal when trying to extend one line).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite is helping solve our problems in having good diagrams of things (when we are root causing, figuring out our timelines for meeting deadlines, organization charts, etc). It is difficult usually to communicate these things either verbally or with other softwares, but Lucid is really good at providing the templates and diagrams for ease of communication visually and succinctly.

A great alternative to Visio but it isn't a total replacement for it.

  • May 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Having a role in Continuous Improvement I found that the templates to support our VSM and CI diagramming efforts very valuable and far better than those in MS Visio. I also found that we can import our existing Visio diagrams and make them better with Lucid. The collaboration is also easier and nicer than that of Visio and it helps me as I train others on the value of CI mapping efforts.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found that Lucid does not adequately support our previous use of Visio in the generation of floor plans, scaled engineering documents, technical documents with complex embedded calculations and drawings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT has decided to abandon Visio and this was their solution to replace it. We had no choice but are learning to use Lucid better as we gain experience with it.
