Competent and refined collaboration. Could use some work but is quite adequate.

What do you like best about the product?
Simple and smooth experience when using the tools. Easy to pick up which is great for collaboration. I can't say they do anything revolutionary compared to other programs, but they've really nailed the basics and have taken it a little farther than many other tools I've seen, on top of building a more robust framework for all their tools to exist within.
What do you dislike about the product?
The higher-level UI is kind of unhelpful and slow, though not terribly. I'm not an expert here, but I think there's room to improve there. It can also be slow to sync, but I've only seen google stuff be better. Some user customization of what tools they want to use personally or for the organization would help cut down on the clutter and keep it simpler for people to get right into collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Documentation and collaborative design, which are the main benefits we sought in the first place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There may be other products out there, but Lucidspark is a solid contender. Definitely worth trying. I know there are more intricate products out there, but the simplicity offered really helps get everyone involved quickly, instead of having a period requiring training.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of quickly drawing diagrams
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it's a little more challenging than desired to find the right icons, angles, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows for quick production of architecture diagrams and flow charts --- much quicker than what I found with Visio.

Flexible, intuitive, modern

What do you like best about the product?
I like best the features and the instant availability. It is easy to use, and no installation is required. Always on, always up.
Initially I wanted to use Lucida as a replacement for Visio, but I can't see that it has so much more and don't miss any of the Visio features at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't found any downsides. Features are what clear to use. One has to invest some time in going through the tips and tutorials, but in general it's very intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used it for high level design diagrams--block diagrams, network diagrams, UML class diagrams. The usage is straightforward and intuitive.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You won't regret using it. No need for Visio anymore!

Great online experience for all professionals.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease of use of all tools available, which are very intuitive, even for people without technical expertise in using online platforms. In particular, I create many flowcharts to describe business processes that will later be incorporated into different online environments, and the templates for creating diagrams are very helpful. They are very well crafted that even people with little to no experience are able to create content that communicates effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like a template for organizing the tasks of a project, like a Gantt chart. It would be amazing if a team can work together on a project management tool on Lucidspark in order to visualize the overview of the project and keep track of activities, people, and deadlines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved communication in an online environment that can effectively replace in-person meetings. Video calls often are not enough for effective teamwork since they don't provide the means to interact besides speaking and body language. By sharing a document on Lucidspark with several team members, all of us can interact in real-time as if we were together physically and exchanging ideas in physical means, like a whiteboard. This way we can effectively communicate and resolve problems together. And on top of that, all our work is saved online in the cloud, getting rid of physical notes and documents that, in my case at least, often get lost and require too much time to keep organized.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it for yourself and you'll definitely will keep on using it. It's very helpful and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share in many different graphic modes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve to start using, especially for people who are not familiar with virtual whiteboards
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used the tool in classes and meetings, and it has helped to create a gathering place at a time when in-person gathering is not possible.

All the features you need to collaborate and whiteboard remotely!

  • April 06, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is easy to get started with and accessible to anyone. It has just about every feature you need or might want to collaborate remotely. One feature that is really useful is the built in timer. When collaborating with others, I've had to do this manually and separately in the past. The built-in timer makes it much easier to be a facilitator effectively and ensure the session is moving along with good time. I also like the voting feature. It helps me understand a group's thinking and enables me to get the entire group's opinion when working tgether.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside I can think of with LucidSpark is that it doesn't have a wireframe library. I hope this is a feature that's coming, as it's one that I would use very often. I do use another piece of software for this use case, and would love to consolidate just down to the Lucidspark. Another thing that I dislike is the limitation of the free tier-- that you can only have three editable documents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem I'm solving with Lucidspark is collaborating remotely. Having a realtime tool that is easy to use for groups of distributed people is tough. Lucidspark has made this not only possible, but easy and enjoyable. When working with others in real life, it's easy to whiteboard together and brainstorm. When doing so remotely, it's a lot more difficult to express your ideas visually and collaborate on ideas together. Lucidspark is fast and let's you show communicate your ideas quickly and effectively with people who might be on the other side of the globe.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I advise everyone to at least try Lucidspark to see if it meets your needs. There are many other competitors and similar products out there, but Lucidspark provides features like voting and timers that can be really beneficial depending on what you're doing. Only you can know if it meets your needs, but I think it's at least a good contender.
