Nice copy of Mural

  • December 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the arrows - it's so much easier to use than those Mural ones. I like the idea of templates and that I can insert it to the document that I have open right now. I like that I can copy-paste between LucidChart and LucidSpark.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to search and insert icons and images like I can on LucidChart. I guess I'd like LucidChart and LucidSpark to be one tool, however, it's good that it's one ecosystem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mapping products, mapping processes

Good platform for online collaboration

  • December 18, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Flexible, many option for drawing, good templates for diagrams, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Could be improved in terms of making it easier to create many post its and organising them intelligently, but this is a minor thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Lucidspark to create and organise initial ideas and concepts in a team of 4.

Simple to use tool which is insanely powerful!

  • December 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There are a ton of templates to use that make it easier than starting on a blank canvas. But the collaborative functionality is really key!
What do you dislike about the product?
Lucidchart has many more powerful templates to use and is a more capable tool in general. So the resulting limitations are what I miss in Spark. Also there is a plug-in only for Chart and nor Spark in MS Teams!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote meetings, brainstorming sessions, and mind mapping.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try Lucidchart!

Wayyy better than Mural

What do you like best about the product?
automatically curving arrows. Intuitive object manipulation. Very responsive. More features than expected, e.g., arrange, order, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing so far. The UI is extremely easy to pick up immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mind mapping, collaborative whiteboard. It is very versatile in those respects, and look forward to adding more collaborators as needed.

Easy to Use Tool for Remote Collaboration

What do you like best about the product?
Lucidspark is very intuitive to use and perfect for note taking and collaboration. It's great for projects that rapidly change and is a flexible way to keep notes. I use it both professionally and personally, especially for preparing notes before calls. I started using Lucidspark because I'm a huge fan of LucidChart and so far, it's filled a gap that we have when using LucidChart- which is to have a more visual and less technical way to collaborate in a shared space. Lucidspark is well suited for anyone who works in design and needs a way to take quick notes then affinitize with a team anywhere in the world. There's lots of flexibility with color of post it, font styling, and connectors. They also have easy to use pre-made templates, similar to LucidChart. As a frequent user of LucidChart, Lucidspark is a perfect companion.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think I've found anything that I dislike yet. We mostly use LucidChart and Mural, so I will have to make a case for why it's worth using Lucidspark over Mural.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm a visual person so keeping notes in traditional word documents can be more difficult to navigate, especially when trying to do it quickly. It's great for grouping like items, creating timelines, and high level takeaways. The flexibility of styling and different connectors lets someone easily track projects from any point in the design process. This solves the problem of documenting brainstorms that otherwise would be on physical post its or walls, into something that can be changed continually and accessed over and over again.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Browse through their templates before getting started, they likely have something already created for you!

A very good tool for engineers

  • December 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My ideas weren't limited, in growth or in shape, by the size of the board : it allowed me to expand on concepts further than a traditional organizer. I can add ideas quickly, link them together and of course set up my own color code : constraints, client requirements, engineering hurdles are all distinguishible at a glance.
This has also become, for me, a place to store random thoughts, and it allows me to come back to them and very easily transform them into actionable information.
What do you dislike about the product?
As the product grows, I would love so see features allowing me to set up default parameters : I find myself constantly realigning the text on my post-its because the default centrered text doesn't suit my use of the tool. Also, allowing to resize shapes in 2D rather than only 1D (height and width are currently linked) would be a great improvement.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often, an idea clicks in my head and I usualy write it down on a piece of paper, which inevitably gets lost. With Lucidspark, I found that it is easier to express even the most unfinished thoughts and later improve on them. Of course, when designing a product, many ideas, constraints and requirement fly out of my mind, only to be remembered at a point where some design choices have to be modified. I found that with Lucidspark I am less prone to forgetting these things as they are clearly color-coded and always on display.

It's okay - work is still needed

  • December 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the parity with Miro, that it can be used remotely for workshops. I like the Emojis. I like the ease of use. Less clunkiness than the traditional Lucid Product
What do you dislike about the product?
Biggest thing has been performance as docs have scaled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for workshops at work. It's been helpful to have many people collaborating together
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use if you expect the document to get too big. If you're just starting ideation it's great.

An excellent virtual whiteboard

  • December 17, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to jump in and use it just like you would an actual whiteboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free tier is generous, however I don't know why I can't have more color options. Limiting how many people and other advanced features makes sense but colors just seem like an easy thing to give to everyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's a nice place for everyone in a virtual meeting to get whiteboard their thoughts and have something visual to point to. I use it to explain software architecture.

  • December 17, 2020

What do you like best about the product?
This tool has a very clean design and introduces some new interesting capabilities to help users during the facilitation of structured workshops. ‘Containers’ offer automated grouping, after labeling of stickies, nice.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no Agency/Consultancy friendly license available at this time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A client told us about LucidSpark asking to prepare some basic problem solving sessions.
