  • April 06, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Zscaler Internet Access for its ability to securely connect users to the internet with minimal latency. The cloud-native approach ensures fast, reliable access to applications while enforcing security policies seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
While ZIA simplifies security overall, configuring certain advanced policies or customizations can be a bit complex initially, requiring some learning for teams new to cloud-based security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access addresses several key challenges in modern networking and security. It eliminates the need for backhauling traffic through on-premises appliances, ensuring users are protected from malware, phishing, and data leaks wherever they are. For me, this means I can work securely from any location without worrying about complex VPN setups, and our organization benefits from simplified, centralized security management and faster access to applications

Powerful Cloud Security with Centralized Policy Management in Zscaler Internet Access

  • March 27, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the best things about Zscaler Internet Access is its strong cloud-based security architecture. It provides real-time protection against web threats, malware, and unauthorized access, which significantly improves overall security posture without relying on traditional on-premise firewalls.Another key advantage is its centralized policy management. Administrators can control and enforce security policies across all users and locations from a single dashboard, making it highly effective for remote and hybrid work environments.I also appreciate the granular URL filtering and access control, which allows organizations to block or allow traffic based on domains, URLs, or IPs. This helps maintain compliance and prevents risky browsing behavior. Finally, features like SSL inspection, DLP (Data Loss Prevention), and bandwidth control provide deep visibility into traffic and help prevent data leaks, making it a complete secure web gateway solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main drawbacks of Zscaler Internet Access is performance and latency issues. Since all traffic is routed through Zscaler’s cloud, users sometimes experience slower internet speeds and delays, especially during peak hours or in certain regions.
I also find that troubleshooting can be difficult. Logs and visibility are sometimes limited, making it harder to quickly identify and resolve issues when something breaks.
Additionally, Zscaler can feel overly restrictive at times. Its aggressive security policies may block legitimate websites or applications, requiring frequent manual adjustments and exceptions.
concern is cost. Zscaler is considered a premium solution, and licensing—especially for advanced features—can be expensive compared to traditional firewalls or alternative solutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA) primarily solves the limitations of traditional firewall-based security, which struggle to protect modern, cloud-driven environments. Legacy setups often fail to detect advanced threats, lack visibility into encrypted traffic, and create performance bottlenecks due to backhauling traffic through data centers.
One major problem it addresses is cybersecurity threats like malware, ransomware, and phishing. ZIA inspects all internet traffic (including SSL/TLS encrypted traffic) in real time.
Benefit: Users get secure and seamless connectivity without performance degradation from VPN backhauling.
ZIA also solves the problem of poor visibility and control over user activity and cloud applications. It provides centralized policy enforcement and granular controls over web traffic and SaaS usage.

Granular Policy Control & Secure Access Management

  • March 25, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Zscaler Internet Access primarily for its application control, which offers granular features for creating policies department-wise. I appreciate how it utilizes zero trust internet access, verifying every request based on identity, device posture, and policy, which significantly enhances security. Additionally, I find that the initial setup is very simple, particularly if you're migrating from another CASB solution to Zscaler Internet Access.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is all things up to the mark but while we found any issues related to the SSL blocked url or services we need dive into analytics and logs in more they can improve the Logs visibility which can help to create bypass or whitelist the same thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access helps us manage internet access per compliance requirements with zero trust security. I like its granular application control features for department-wise policy creation, enhancing security by verifying every request based on identity and device posture.

Cloud-Native Zero Trust with Strong Threat Protection and Centralized Control

  • March 14, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most about Zscaler Internet Access is its cloud-native zero-trust architecture, which allows secure internet access for users regardless of location. It provides strong threat protection by inspecting encrypted traffic and blocking malware, phishing, and other web-based attacks. I also appreciate the centralized policy management and visibility it gives administrators, making it easier to control user activity and enforce security policies. Additionally, since it is delivered from the cloud, it eliminates the need for traditional hardware firewalls and improves performance for remote and hybrid users
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenge with Zscaler Internet Access is that it can sometimes introduce latency because traffic is routed through cloud security inspection points before reaching the destination. In some cases, this may affect performance for bandwidth-intensive applications or users located far from Zscaler data centers. Additionally, the initial configuration and policy management can be complex, especially when integrating with existing infrastructure or legacy applications. The pricing model can also be relatively high for some organizations, particularly smaller companies that may not require the full feature set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access helps solve several security and connectivity challenges, especially for organizations with remote or hybrid work environments. It provides secure internet access by inspecting all user traffic and blocking threats such as malware, phishing, and ransomware before they reach the user. The platform also replaces traditional perimeter-based security tools with a cloud-based zero-trust model, which simplifies network architecture and reduces the need for multiple hardware security appliances. This improves visibility and centralized policy management for administrators while ensuring users can securely access web and SaaS applications from any location. As a result, it enhances overall security posture, improves user productivity, and reduces operational complexity for IT teams.

AI-Powered Security, But With Troubleshooting Hiccups

  • March 05, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like Zscaler Internet Access for its direct to cloud access, eliminating VPN lag and providing centralized management, global policy control, and real-time analytics. I appreciate its AI-powered SSL inspection, as it effectively scans and detects zero-day threats, transitioning smoothly where traditional filters might miss. The feature that stands out the most for me is the AI-powered SSL inspection, which has turned our biggest security blind spot into our strongest layer of defense. Zscaler's solution allows us to inspect all encrypted traffic without slowing down our bandwidth or forcing hardware upgrades. I also love the scalability since it's cloud-native, and it doesn't require worrying about CPU cycles, whether you have a small or large number of users streaming or downloading heavy data. It makes the VPN experience actually feel faster than being in the office and provides anti-virus engines without the latency that multiple appliances would introduce.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's easy for an admin to accidentally create overlapping roles and troubleshooting exactly why a specific site is blocked can sometimes feel like finding a needle in a haystack. Mainly, developer tools like Docker, Python, and Git use their own internal trust stores instead of the system's certificate store, leading to problems when Zscaler Internet Access tries to inspect this traffic. It frequently breaks the developer environment, requiring significant time to build workarounds. Additionally, when a user moves from a wired connection to Wi-Fi or a 5G hotspot, the Zscaler client connector can get stuck, leaving the user without internet access for up to sixty seconds. Finally, during network transitions, the client connector isn't always as seamless as hardware-based breakouts, especially on Mac OS or Linux.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zscaler Internet Access eliminates VPN lag with direct cloud access and enhances security with AI-powered SSL inspection, reducing latency by 4% and replacing expensive hardware. It inspects encrypted traffic and turns laptops into secure branches, addressing hybrid work challenges and legacy VPN limitations.
