Fantastic platform for many annotation tasks. Worth a shot for any collaborative annotation project.
What do you like best about the product?
- Fantastic communication and support. From the sales team to the demo team to customer support, they have been great the whole time. We recently gained access to the SDK from support for trying out a few features not available in the UI as well as for improving our pipeline, and it works like a charm. It's clear SA is looking for their users to succeed.
- Great tools. We're currently in the process of annotating for a niche, industrial defect detection use case, and the open source tools were simply not cutting it for collaborating. Additionally, the auto-annotation tools get the correct major object perfectly about 99% of the time. Leveraging the auto-annotation also sped up the defect annotation as well. This has streamlined our annotation process significantly.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Occasionally, the UI isn't clear whether you are actually clicking to automatically "link" a new annotation to an existing one, and undoing it requires backtracking through multiple automatically attached points. Changing the cursor to an "X" or a different color to indicate you would be leveraging an existing annotation would be great, as would allowing one click to undo it if done by mistake.
- It's not currently possible to export one folder's worth of annotations - as far as I can tell. We ended up using the SDK for that, which was super simple, but it would be great to be able to have more export control in the UI.

Best programm for annotating images
What do you like best about the product?
SuperAnnotate's innovative magic polygon tool stands out as a pivotal feature, significantly enhancing my ability to expedite the image annotation process. Its efficacy in accelerating tasks has notably contributed to heightened productivity within my workflow
What do you dislike about the product?
There´s nothing negative to say about SuperAnnotate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am annotating medical images to train a AI to differ between different diagnoses
The best labeling experience ever
What do you like best about the product?
It's super easy to understand and use. It is practical and functional; It has all the right features I need to label my thin blood smear images. One of my major concern when choosing a labeling software was the privacy of my data and superannotate did great with that. The customer support experience is really great, their response is quick, efficient and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing I dislike about SuperAnnotate
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate is aiding AI practitioners with image annotation, segmentation among others. My work is to develop deep learning models that would aid microscopists in diagnosing haematological diseases using images of microscopic thin blood smear. Thus, I am using SuperAnnotate to label;
1. Different species of malaria parasites and their life stages found in red blood cells
2. Different types of white blood cells
3. Different type of red blood cell abnormalities such as; rouleaux formation, bite cells, target cells among others

The most user-friendly annotation tool out there
What do you like best about the product?
Anyone faced with the platform instantly gets how it works, and it is clear that the company values this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Per-seat pricing makes it hard to show people how the sausage gets made.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate makes it easy to produce labeled data and get insights into it and the annotation process that created it.
Great Annotation Tool
What do you like best about the product?
- Superb customer support. We are a small company that needed a collaborative platform to annotate a dataset and signed up for the free account. SuperAnnotate CS was very helpful and gave us additional access to some of the restricted tools that were not included in the free tier.
- The platform is very easy to use across the board. One doesn't need to have programming knowledge as a user but it can be leveraged using the SDK.
- Tools like the Magic Select make annotations effortless and fast.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't really dislike anything about SuperAnnotate but it would be great if we could have:
- Additional support for import and export of projects from different dataset types would be great.
- support to add metadata to imgaes/videos in a dataset.

Creating a novel dataset.
Quick learning curve without losing the ability to use advanced features
What do you like best about the product?
The quick learning curve makes it easy to onboard people to the project and get results soon. However, it's possible to go further with the more advanced functionalities, such as the Python SDK. The support is fast, attentive, and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides are the lack of subfolders in the projects, but there are ways to overcome it. It would also be nice to connect Google Drive to avoid having to upload photos. It allows connection to the GCP Bucket, but Google Drive is more commonly used than the GCP Bucket in daily workflows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our project is in a go-to-market phase where speed is crucial when conducting tests, obtaining results, and ensuring that errors are easy to rectify. SuperAnnotate allows us to work in this manner.
Working with SuperAnnotate has been a great experience.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only issue I ran into working with SuperAnnotate is when some their engineers changed it caused a few obstacles in the data pipeline. I would like SuperAnnotate to ensure knowledge is passed when their team is going through changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate is helping us scale our data annotation pipeline. This allows our business to process more data per month and train more models.
Useful and user-friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Support is super reactive and really helpful
What do you dislike about the product?
Some incompatibility with Europe zone that prevented me from uploading with Python SDK... But fixed now
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easily dealing with my data annotation.
Makes it easy to manage annotations
What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to upload images and make annotations, especially new vector project functionalities where you can significantly lower your annotation time makes it great.
What do you dislike about the product?
User Interface needs improvement , like when running predictions and checking image which is annotated can be improved
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use SuperAnnotate to do image annotations and run neural networks for our image recognition project.
Engaging and responsive customer service, good data quality, fast turnover time, clear cost
What do you like best about the product?
Our fantastic sales representive provided great customer service and attitude, and we have a dedicated team that we can reach out to on Slack to provide continuous updates and feedback. We had a fast turnover time on the submitted data, and good data quality once proper instructions was provided. The cost structure and forecasting was also clear and upfront.
What do you dislike about the product?
The actual platform UI and data navigation can be a little confusing at times, particularly for what data are to be reviewed and commented on. Minor visual bugs can also be seen at times, but nothing critical in terms of usability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
SuperAnnotate allows us to focus on the AI/ML development while we can trust them to handle the data labelling with confidence in their quality. This allowed our team to move faster in our projects and take on more activities, rather than having to dedicate more time to do the annotations ourselves.
