Rubrik Delivers Intuitive Data Management and Unmatched Peace of Mind
What do you like best about the product?
We’ve been using Rubrik for our data management, and the peace of mind it provides is unmatched. The platform is incredibly intuitive, and their Zero Trust Data Security gives us full confidence that our backups are safe from ransomware.
What do you dislike about the product?
Audit Logs, admins sometimes complain that when a backup fails, the logs aren't descriptive enough to diagnose the issue immediately without calling support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rubrik solved our biggest headache: the uncertainty of recovery. Before Rubrik, a ransomware attack felt like an existential threat. Now, with their immutable backups and automated SLA policies, we have a guaranteed path to recovery. The Live Mount feature alone has saved us hours of downtime during routine server failures. While the premium pricing is a consideration, the operational efficiency and 'peace of mind' it brings to our security posture make it a net win for our budget.
Unified Cybersecurity Platform with Room for More Features
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Rubrik for being a good platform for cybersecurity, backup, and rapid recovery. It is quite beneficial as it provides most of the tools I want all under one umbrella, offering a unified cyber experience without worrying about cloud backup, security, and recovery. The database backup and VM backup are features I particularly like and find them to be on a nice, top level. Rubrik delivers simplicity and efficiency, being cloud-based allows for accessible and portable data management. It also has security features that make the database backup particularly appealing.
What do you dislike about the product?
I didn't see anything much that much. Like, they can expand their wing more, like, providing more extra features. What they're currently doing. And they can provide more, more features. I guess. More analytics as well. That would expand the horizon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Rubrik for cybersecurity, cloud backup, and rapid recovery of databases and VMs. It simplifies everything with a unified platform, delivering tools I need, accessible and secure, without worrying about backups.
Robust Ransomware Defense with Easy Setup
What do you like best about the product?
I find Rubrik to be a solid performer for cloud and on-prem backups, and it's simple enough to implement. Its management, especially with Rubrik Security Cloud, is straightforward once learned. I really like Rubrik's ransomware defense because it lets us set a baseline and comes with a warranty that instills confidence. Additionally, its strong backup capabilities are crucial for us in preventing ransomware attacks. I also appreciate that the setup was generally quick, with only some delay for settings to appear in the cloud management console.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cost is a bit difficult to get under control. There are some issues with reporting that we don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Rubrik for preventing ransomware attacks with its strong backup capabilities. It's a solid performer for cloud and on-prem backups, simple to implement, and managing Rubrik Security Cloud becomes easy after learning. However, the cost is hard to control.

I like the ease of Rubrik's intelligent backup, particularly for its automated backups and the protection of physical servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps improve the web console to be simpler, that is, with more straightforward fields. A simpler dashboard without much detail, more specific and direct. At the beginning, I found the configuration difficult.

Rubrik helped me with the company's data protection, safeguarding client plans. Likewise, the automated backups and the protection of physical servers were especially useful.
Impressive UI Quality and Smooth Collaboration Across Cybersecurity Teams
What do you like best about the product?
In the demo I was able to use, I was surprised by the quality of the software's graphical interface and how it integrates with various cybersecurity teams.
What do you dislike about the product?
Installing agents on Linux devices can be complicated, or permissions for cloud connectivity may need to be enabled.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think the online cloud management is very well thought out, adding a hybrid approach towards on-premise management.
Quick Recovery and Easy Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I like Rubrik's quick recovery and its easy-to-use interface. I find the deployment easy and integrable with common tools like VMware. Additionally, I find the ransomware protection feature interesting, although I haven't used it yet. I also find it intuitive.

in my case and the use I have given it, I understand that the reporting could be more customizable

I like that Rubrik is a big and growing company, which is expanding day by day. It provides valuable data management services, such as backup and recovery, targeting hybrid cloud environments. This makes it particularly valuable for me because we always need to back up our data, and with Rubrik, I'm able to do this. It gives me peace of mind knowing my data is backed up. Also, the initial setup of Rubrik was very easy and self-explanatory. We did a lot of research online, and it turned out to be quite self-explanatory.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the absolute peace of mind that comes from Rubrik's zero trust data security approach. The native immutability of the backups is a feature that stands out because it ensures that once data is written, it cannot be modified or deleted by an external threat. I love the intuitive user interface, which is a refreshing change from the overly complex dashboards of legacy backup tools. The policy-based SLA engine that automates everything from backup frequency to data retention is fantastic and saves me a lot of time, ensuring we never miss a backup window. The speed of the live mount feature is quite impressive as it allows us to power up a virtual machine from the backup storage almost instantly, a lifesaver when quick recovery is needed. The automated discovery of new workloads is also a huge relief as it prevents any gaps in protection. Additionally, the API-first design is very powerful, allowing for seamless integration into existing automation scripts and security workflows, making Rubrik one of the most reliable parts of our infrastructure.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Rubrik is a very strong platform, there are a few areas that could be improved. The cost is definitely on the higher end, especially for smaller organizations or when you need to scale up quickly. It can feel like a significant investment compared to more traditional or open source backup solutions. I would love to see more flexible pricing models that cater better to mid sized teams who might not need every single enterprise feature right away. In terms of the software itself, the reporting and analytics features could be a bit more robust and customizable. While the dashboard gives a great high level overview, sometimes when I need to dig into very specific data trends or generate a highly tailored report for an audit, the current tools feel a little limited. I have also noticed that the initial configuration for some more niche or legacy applications can be a bit tricky and might require more manual effort than the seamless experience you get with modern virtualized workloads. Improving the depth of out of the box support for those older systems would make the platform even more versatile.

I use Rubrik to secure backups with zero trust architecture, ensuring data immutability and preventing tampering. It replaces fragmented tools with a single interface for backups and data retention, automates workload detection, and integrates well into our security workflows, reducing ransomware risks and improving recovery times.
